    If you are like me and wanting a new Ep. 7 X-wing, the level 2 versions that are about 1/49-1/50 don't look too bad. Not close to bandai, but they look fairly accurate enough to work with. I think a good repaint and applying some modeling skills like glueing and fixing seems will really help. At least that's what I keep telling myself. I just finished 2 of the 1/72 bandai OT X-wings....they are amazing kits. I made Red 3 and Red 5. What I loved about those kits is that they actually give the correct parts to make the different variants. Red 3 has a shorter slightly different shaped nose cone and 1 short engine nozzle. Both of which are included. Other differences would be the "toilet seat" on the but plate faces down on Luke's Red 5, up on most of the others, and is just plain missing on Red 3. The kit lets you make it facing or down and a quick trim can remove it for Red 3. Unfortunately, most models....including FM's use the short Red 3 nose. I think that may be because ILM built a large 4ft X-wing for ROTJ but it was never used on screen. It has the short nose too. I fortunately bought a couple more kits a month ago as I wanted to make Reds 1-6, so now I plan on just making Red 2 and 6. Red 6 is REALLY cool looking. I never realized how different the paint schemes were in ANH. Chris

    I seriously doubt BBTS is going to get the new Ep7 kits. They are coming in Nov. branded as the Master-series.Chris

Chris I'm trying to stay positive and hope that the Level 2 kits coming in Oct will be pretty good. They look much better from these laughable first release kits from what I can see of them so far. Maybe not Bandai level, but with some TLC they might be able to make pretty nice kits. Though, they will be around 1/48 and not in scale with the bulk of Bandai's kits. Chris

    Revell are deffinately releasing at least 3 Finemolds kits, 1/48 X-wing and TIE fighter, 1/72 Falcon. Part 3 also has the finemolds kits.Chris

    Unless it's in stock HLJ has removed all other listings. I think they are just selling off their existing stock and honoring preorders for Fett and Slave 1. Chris

    Have you not been reading the last page of this thread?? The bandai kits have been banned from outside of Asia. Online stores have removed or not placed them on their overseas sites. Chris

    Aaaand HLJ has fallen victim to at least the new kits ban. They are up on their Japanese site but not their English site. I've read that some stores will or can honor existing orders so maybe that's why the old kits are still up on HLJ? At any rate, it's going to require other means to get Bandai Force Awakens kits.     I will admit that the level 2 Revell new X-wing looks pretty good. Not Bandai good, but still a lot better than that build and play kit pictured above. Here is an interview with the GM of Revell discussing the kits. It's actually not a bad watch. Part 3 has the level 2 kits featured. X-wing looks to be about 1/48ish the TIE looks huge!     Well crap! Apparently Bandai is now restricting their model releases to Japan only and making Japanese retailers only sell to Japanese addresses and removing them from English sites. AmiAmi and Hobbysearch have already done it. HLJ, hasn't yet but it is still the weekend.     I don't either, but I can understand what is being held by one of the characters in the poster can be considered spoilery. Honestly though, I don't think that particular thing is supposed to be a surprise. Worst movie spoilers I can remember from products would be, Indy 4 and Shia's characters description on the back of it's package reveals who he is, and way back when Ep I was coming out the freaking soundtrack had a title called Qui-Gon's noble end. I was pissed at that one! Chris
