  1. Read my post again, the FIRST teasers X-wing shot is not in the movie. They used other shots for their approach over water. I saw the movie 3 times and don't recall seeing the reverse hyperspace shot from the full trailer either. Chris
  2. I know there has been talk about cut scenes from the movie that we saw glimpses of in the trailers but 2 shots that were missing that I haven't noticed anyone mention that I REALLY wanted to see where: 1) The BEAUTIFUL/AMAZING shot of the Falcon going into hyperspace from the first full trailer. That could have and, IMO, should have been in the movie. I wonder why it was cut? 2) this one isn't a biggie but I really wanted it and felt the in movie scene was slightly lacking....the first teasers X-wing shot. That shot really made the X-Wings look like they where really charging in FAST and seemed powerful to me.....similar to the awesome scene in The Final Countdown when the F-14's buzz the yacht and later come charging back to save the survivors. Where as in the movie I just didn't get the same feeling. The shot seemed kind of sluggish of Poe's X-wing slowly rolling left and the other X-wing's then slowly flying past the camera. I was just really hoping to see a shot of the good guys hauling ass in to save the day, showing the First Order was going to receive some pay back. Chris
  3. That is my feeling as well, most people seem to keep forgetting about the mother. I believe that was her leaving Rey on Jakku. Maybe she was from there and the Junk dealer owed her. So he watched Rey, "temporarily", as the mother intended to come back to get Rey, hence the I'll come back. I think this is the time period that Ben was betraying the new Jedi and Rey's mom was going to help Luke and the Jedi and she was killed. Luke may not have known about her at all as the Mother may have left the Jedi academy before she even knew about her pregnancy herself. Like was said, maybe she was with the resistance so Leia and Han and probably Ben knew about Rey but no one told Luke as they didn't want to burden him with the knowledge, as per the Mother's request, since he had enough on his plate with training new Jedi and Snoke also being in the picture. Remember Leia and Han know who Snoke is also, so he was a known player at this point. After her death and Luke's disappearance, they couldn't find him to tell him he had a daughter somewhere. I think the loss of his students the fall of his Nephew and the death of his love would add a lot of layers onto his self imposed exile. Much better than just being a lousy dad that dumped his kid in a wasteland indefinitely.Chris
  4. Ah, I was not aware of that aspect of Dardevils cowl...that it didn't cover the nose. Hmmm, well...yeah, I guess you guys are right that Charlie just doesn't have the face for the mask. Lol! I really like him in the role, but something isn't jiving with the mask. Like supersenpai said if they are going for the more practical look then why not just go the extra inch and cover the nose all the way. It wouldn't have to cup the nose like Batman's does just extend down enough to cover the nose, for protection, and would then just make the face appear to be a little longer. Oh well, not in my control. I'm sure I'll love the second season as I did the first. Chris
  5. Maybe Dragon's Falcon will be an original trilogy version possibly even the ANH version without the extra landing gear housings. That would definitely help differentiate it from the exceptional bandai Falcon. They do appear to be getting the AT-AT's legs wrong though. The knees don't bend backwards like that. Chris
  6. Higher? I think that is the problem...it is too high. If the cowl covered his nose more I *think* that would solve the problem. I wish I could edit the image to show what I'm talking about, but if the cowl was just a bit lower, covering his nose it would look less....."squished" like he's about to sneeze or something. Chris
  7. I wondered about that as well...though you would think the ashes would have been long gone by the time Ben became Kylo. Unless Snoke gathered them not long after the Battle of Endor and gave them to Ben to help corrupt him. Chris
  8. The Disney store diecast x-wings are pretty descent for the price. They are a little smaller than 1/72 maybe around 1/80. They are only $9.99 online at disneystore.com both blue squadron and black leader. http://www.disneystore.com/disney/store/DSISearch?Searchstr=Star+Wars+diecast&storeId=10051&catalogId=10002&langId=-1&pageCmdName=homeLandingPage&Ntx=mode+matchallpartial&N=0Ν=pProductID&Nr=pPublished%3A1&Ntk=All_Shopping&Ntt=Star+Wars+diecast&D=Star+Wars+diecast&Dr=pPublished%3A1 BBTS also has Hot Wheels diecast Elite vehicles coming out in 2016...they may be much better looking....I hope so since they are around $70 Chris
  9. What Nebulon-B are you referring to? The only official one I'm aware of is the Armada one and it is really small. The only other Nebulon's I'm aware of are fan made ones on Shapeways, and yes they are really expensive. Chris
  10. I forget who said it, but regarding Leia... I agree with what others have said, though, that I hope other media isn't going to be required to get the full picture. It's great to give background info ect, but not if it is going to required to truly understand the plot. Chris
  11. I posted this on another board back in Oct. it was just my speculation and basically says the same things. "Perhaps we are looking at this the wrong way. We keep assuming after Endor everything went to crap, as in there was a power vacume. What if a new government did form in the central systems like Curascant, but out-lying systems were still held by the Empire. A Cold War of sorts eventually forms and the systems that still fell under "Imperial" rule....now called the First Order....experience a form of "media black-out" in which the events of the past 15-20 years (at the time) are covered up or changed in a way that supports what the newly christened First Order wants. The "New Republic" (for lack of a better name) now unofficially backs a new Rebellion...aka the Resistance....by supplying them with weapons ect, since they don't want to plunge the whole Galaxy back into war. The Resistance is then trying to gather support in the First Order ruled systems but find the people ignorant of the past and too afraid or unwilling to help. Fast forward to 30 years after Endor, The First Order is now making their Ultimate Weapon of revenge that can destroy the New Republuc at its heart. A weapon that can destroy the entire Curuscant system and the New Republic with it. That would Work for me, and much of what I just wrote actually happens right here on Planet Earth. Also, that was not a spoiler just what I'm thinking COULD be" Chris
  12. Loved it, Loved it, loved it! I agree with the sentiments already expressed. Movie has some issues, but they are never enough to ruin the movie....just little things here and there. I pretty much agree with Duke particularly on his rankings. Not quite as good as Empire or ANH (though ANH) does have its originality helping it a lot) but deffinately better than the rest. Just because it's #3 to me in no way means this was a let down. I agree that a little more fleshing out of some characters would have been nice, but with so much to do I can understand the less is more approach. I'm confident we'll get more in the sequels. As much as I LOVED seeing the original cast, I found I really, REALLY liked the newcomers. Rey, Finn, BB-8 are so wonderful. Kylo Ren is a fantastic baddie too. My biggest Nit-pick Chris
  13. They are showing most of of them Ren, Storm Trooper, Vader rerelease as discontinued now. They don't show up on a general search. Chris
  14. Looking forward to tonight....though some ASS HAT on SSM posted major spoilers in semi-vague way. Thank you MW members who have seen it for being respectful to the rest of us and just stating simply whether you liked it or not. Chris
  15. Trying to figure everyone out. From Left: Burke, unknown (kneeling), Vasquez, Drake, Ripley, Frost, Hicks, Newt, unknown (kneeling), Bishop, Hudson. Basically, the 2 kneeling guys I don't recognize. Is one of them Newts brother? Chris
