Disney/Jon Favreau's The Jungle Book
Dobber replied to areaseven's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
There is only 2 songs in it and the first one is really just Baloo and Mogli more or less singing Bear necessities as they do things. The other is King Louie's song, which was more of an actual song number. That's it. Chris- 28 replies

Disney/Jon Favreau's The Jungle Book
Dobber replied to areaseven's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
It really just depends on the child. Some little kids are so desensitized at such an early age, it's scary. While others are super sensitive. My daughter is 8 and is kind of a scaredy cat, but she ended up liking the movie a lot. I think it was just her first real exposure to photo realistic villains, rather than it looking "animated" in some way, so it made it more real for her. Personally I'd say the 7-8yr old range should be fine, nothing is gory, it's just, Kahn is VERY intimidating and SOOOO real looking. There are also some "jump" type scares with him. Chris- 28 replies

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, in theaters Dec. 16, 2016
Dobber replied to Dobber's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
My theory.... The scene at the end of the trailer with the AT-AT's attacking is at the end of the movie. They have just transmitted the stolen plans just before the Imperial assault on their Bunker and they are forced to evacuate(the scene just before with the one guy running out of what could be a bunker yelling, looks like it could be part of that same scene). If you look behind the AT-AT's you can see a tall tower with a dish on top. I think for whatever reason the R1 gang needed to get somewhere "safe" to transmit the plans. The Empire shows up, but they still get the transmission off in time before they are over run. Vader tracks the transmission and we know the rest. Chris -

After seeing that picture, how long until Iran builds their own "Heli-carrier" to show the world how advanced they are. Lol! Chris -
Lol, I like it. Chris

Curious, could it perhaps be a generational thing? I'm 40 and it was always At At(@ @) and A-T S-T (scout Walker) but obviously grew up long before the Internet and "extra Feature" type interviews could be seen. Maybe the people that call it A-T A-T are a bit younger and grew up in a time when they could/did hear what Lucas intended them to be called? Chris

Oh yeah, I forgot they found out about the lie after Alderaan. I'm not understanding the rest of your post though. I'm remarking on the post that said "He taught her the consequence of lying, when she told that "little" lie about the Rebel base on Dantooine" Vader had nothing (that we saw) to do with the decision to go to Alderaan, blow it up, or order her execution after. That was all Tarkin. If you mean the fact that he interrogated her before that, then I agree. Again, I am and was speaking to what was in the original funny post. Chris

Funny! Though, it was Tarkin that taught her the consequence of lying about the base location, not Vader. Chris

Yeah I always called them At At's too. It wasn't until recently that I'm hearing that was Supposedly Wrong and was supposed to be A - T A - T. Chris

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, in theaters Dec. 16, 2016

Not really, she's wearing what looks like TIE pilot flight gear which has been established for 30 Years. The things on her back are the only questionable thing unless you are saying anytime a woman stands someplace wearing a black outfit (even though said outfits look nothing alike other than both being black) means they are copying Katniss Everdeen. I agree, well said. Chris -

Besides the slight similarity in the final shot in the trailer, the rest of that article is garbage and the author has no idea what she is talking about. Chris -

Hell yeah!! Mon Mothma, proper ANH Star Destroyers, love the Imperial Alarm sound...which is always missing in the audio books (the use the Star Trek alarm) I think Diego Luna may be Biggs Darklighter, which would be awesome to me. Was hoping to see Vader, maybe in the next one. Can't wait! Chris -

I was thinking Jungle Book myself. Figured everybody was going to see Civil War already anyway, so before JB would be a good way to give people extra incentive to see it. I wonder if the Ep. 8 teaser will be attached to Rogue One. Chris -
Yeah, I thought there was supposed to be more Phasma scene's as well. Chris

Finally! Chris -
Regarding Maul, that was how he first appeared in the Clone Wars series. Not a fan fiction Comic but now canon. If you feel it was like fan fiction then that's fine, just making sure you know that that is how it has now happened. As for my quoted reply, not sure if you were agreeing with me or not but I agree with you as it's what I said in my statement you quoted. Chris

Don't count on it. Look back at the previous page. Chris
