  1. The over first season is pretty even, though some episodes are better than others. The last episode, IMO, is really good and what I hope the next season will strive for in terms of tone. Overall, I really liked the show, but it is a little more light-hearted than I would've wanted. That being said, I remember the first season of Avatar, particularly the start of the season, being much more lighthearted and "kiddie like" then what the series evolved into.....so Bring on a season 2! I am a fan. Anyone else notice how he enemy insignia looks like the Mandolor symbol from Star Wars? Also I went back a found Milia and Roy....that was awesome! Was the guy behind Milia another cameo too? He looked familiar too...at first I thought Hikaru but it's not. Chris
  2. Thirded Anyone else get a Termnator vibe from the Waif in this past episode? Just watching how she would walk out and look around I said to my wife "what is she a Terminator?" Chris
  3. I missed Roy and Milia, where are they? In the academy at the beginning? Chris
  4. I'm with you there...really don't care about the Tower either. Personally, I wish they would've done an A-Wing B-Wing combo. Chris
  5. They are different ships. Shiro crashed on Earth in one ship, but the one in episode 3 is the one that had the Red Lion, the Lions fought, and then Voltron. The survivors of the crash are the bad guys in the next few episodes. Shiro was just on that ship at some point during his captivity is all.Chris
  6. Yup...the kit was released a couple of weeks ago so, they should be available. I've ordered a number of Bandai SW kits from Amazon, even with prime shipping from Japan with no issues. Like Mech said, the prices a just a bit high, atm, so I'm going to wait a bit and see if the price drops. Though it may not drop too much due to the Turbo Laser tower being included in the kit. Chris
  7. I too am 3 episodes in. I love the Lion designs, the story though is definately more kid friendly. I'm with you though that I'll reserve judgement until I finish the series, but so far it seems like the overall tone is like one of the more lighthearted episodes of Avatar or Korra.....not bad but not amazing like the more serious episodes of those 2 shows could be. Chris
  8. My god, anyone can post news about this movie and people believe it. This is coming from Reddit. The article even says it should be taken with a grain of salt. It's like everyone WANTS the movie to be bad because fans are so willing to believe every stupid thing that "someone" posts. Sheesh Chris
  9. I'm not jumping for joy just yet....Bandai has previously showed a 1/2 scale R2, the big Star Destroyer, a 1/12 Vader TIE X-1, and a motorized AT-AT. NONE of which have come to be as of yet. Time will tell I guess. That being said, I do like that the Falcon is the ANH version without the extra landing gear housings. Chris
  10. It's not a matter of caring about the Waif being tested or caring in the least about her. It would just be the mis-direct that would be interesting and the fact that Jaqen is fond of Arya....enough to possibly help her. Whether any of this is true or not isn't any big deal, but something had to happen to help Arya, she's running and jumping in the previews for the next episode. Chris
  11. A friend of mine at work said that the theory he heard from his son was that Arya we saw being attacked was actually Jaquin testing the Waif. The way she moved and spoke did seem very in Arya like. In fact I will admit the way she walked on the bridge with her arms behind her back and such did remind me of Jaquin. Chris
  12. I'm starting to think that will be the big "twist" will be Dany becoming a "Tyrant" that needs to b stopped at worst or reigned in at best. I still really think she's not thinking through what she's planning on unleashing in Westeros. Plus, remember a few episodes ago how....I think in the show or maybe it was here, when it was commented on how she has to keep using all her titles. I just think back to Tywyn Lannister saying to Jeoffrey "anyone who has to keep saying they are King, isn't really a King" Chris
  13. Ok, here is a thought/theory....it's a little out there but bare with me. We know the show has deviated greatly in regards to Jamie Lannister. In both the books and the show he started a redemption arc of sorts in his time with Brienne, but while that continued in the books even after she left Kingslandng, the show decided to send him right back to where he was at the start of the series. Now, though, the show has sent him to the Riverlands where his "reformed" book version is and we know Brienne is on her way there....so...what if and it's a BIG IF.....after being around Brienne again, and after his talk with the Blackfish....She convinces him and his army to march on Winterfell to aid Sansa. Remember, the Boltons said they were not in the Lannisters favor by defying the crown, Brienne can also bring up how Jamie can live up to his Oath to Catlyn Stark by aiding her daughter in returning home. Maybe she can convince him of the greater danger the White Walkers are posing on Westeros. Jamie strikes me as a man that wants redemption, but as he said, the greatest most noble thing he ever did is what people ridicule him for...killing the Mad King, but he keeps allowing himself to be pulled into the same old muck by Cercie. She's his drug, and maybe while he's away from her again he'll realize it. Chris
  14. Yeah, just an ok episode for me. With the fewer amount of episode left in the entire series, you'd think we would get longer episodes this was the second week in a row with a "shorter" episode. Chris
  15. Damn, that is nice too. I may have to pick up that book. Is anything covered about eastern Eesos? Chris
  16. Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Just looked up a map of the SoIaF world. I forgot how large Essos is! I also thought I remembered Braavos being far north too. Glad my memory isn't that bad in my old age! Lol Missed the map you posted, it's fantastic! Chris
  17. I forget, is Mareen farther south....more in line with Dorne, the the Storm Lands and as you said Kings Landing. I agree it would make more sense to stay further south, at least geographically speaking. Chris
  18. I saw it with my daughter last night....she wanted to see it, bless her little 8yr old heart. We both liked it. It's more of the first one, which I didn't mind and actually kind of liked. If you at least like the Turtles in the first movie ('14) then this one is an improvement as the turtle are MUCH more prominent in this movie. April's role is toned down quite a bit. Will Arnetts Vern is much better this time too. This movie is definately aimed more for kids but I just had fun watching the brothers interact with each other. MY one main gripe would be that there was really no hand to hand action by by the Turtles at all....their action was really more chase scene type action..meaning.... get something before someone else or distract while one of them tries to accomplish a task. I would've liked to have seen them kick a little more butt. I still liked it though. Chris
  19. Latest reports from EW state that the levity that was mentioned is not for the action sequences but rather the quieter moments to help flesh out the characters. It is still very much a war movie. Reshoots are normal guys, I have faith it will still be a good movie. I will agree, though, that IF the tone is changed, it would be disappointing because this is the opportunity to make something a little different in the SW universe. Doesn't mean I won't like it still and it doesn't mean it would be better as a dark movie. The tonal shift may be a good thing. We just have to wait and see. Chris
  20. Hmm, interesting. I wonder if it will include more Vader. A lot of people are expecting/hoping to see some good Vader scenes, showing how terrifying he was, but if it turns out to just be a cameo, it could be very disappointing. Maybe a part akin to Spider-Man in Civil War. Chris
