  1. Comicbook Girl 19 pretty much sums up my feelings on this ridiculous issue. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Sn_vAcFGTJU It's unfortunate that so many people can't seem to figure this out. Chris
  2. I was kind of thinking the same thing. The Solo children would be the main thing in the Thrawn trilogy. From what I remember most everything else could still fit in post Jedi but before TFA. I know the Thrawn trilogy isn't canon just sayin is all. I do believe a few books DO contradict them though, and the new novels are considered canon. I'm REALLY looking forward to Zahns new Thrawn novel that is coming out next year. That WILL be canon...along with Clone Wars. Chris
  3. Just finished it...wow what a great show. I was pleased with how it avoided some stereo-typical type outcomes for some characters too. Hope there will be a season 2. Chris
  4. The nostalgia that his show gives me is scary. I was born in the 70's but grew up in the 80's. Man I miss it. I also love the theme song...I even get a kick out of how they add the dust specks like it was on film. We just have 2 episodes left, probably will finish tonight. Glad you guys like it too. Chris
  5. Anyone else think that Mikes big sister Nancy looks like a young Mia Sara (Sloan from Ferris Bullers Day Off)? Chris
  6. Yeah, I have to get to S2 of Marco Polo too. If you like 80's sci-fi/fantasy/thriller type movies like ET meets Cloak and Dagger with some Goonies and Fright Night mixed in. It's just perfect. Chris
  7. This show just got released today and it's fantastic! Anyone else watching it? Chris
  8. Well crap, I thought we were going to get the trailer tonigh....it was just the featurette with a few extra scenes. Chris
  9. Reviews from screenings have been good! Here is John Campea's review which I felt was a good fair review without spoilers. There are a couple other reviews on YouTube, one of which says minor spoilers but it had a pretty big spoiler in it IMO, so I won't link to it. But all the reviews I've seen so far have been positive saying it's the best of the reboot films and finally does some justice for we old school Trek fans. Chris
  10. Ohhhh.....well that sucks.
  11. Thanks for the review, U N Spacy! I think I'll buy a couple of these fighters....maybe 1 A,J,and S. They are a little pricey, like you said, though. How are the extra decals, for optional squadrons, that came with it? Chris
  12. Several reviews I'm seeing are generally positive, but seem to start with a statement like..."it's not the train wreck or Horrible like we were afraid of but....." Chemistry between the leads seem to be the highlight and that's about it. It seems like the best this thing has going for it is that it is not as bad as people were thinking it would be. Interestingly, John Scnepp, while not loving this movie, still spoke well enough about it while still giving it the same score as BvS which he HATED with such passion, and couldn't stop hating on for months. I think it's going to Open well because people will want to see it for one reason or another. After that will be the real test. Chris
  13. You know that was what I was always trying to figure out how to say...the politics. I don't care about whether women are leads or not...doesn't bother me, it's just that this movie, from practically day 1, has been a political statement movie. THAT is what bothers me about it. So if the movie is great, then the SJW types will say "see you mysoginistic a-holes" when the vast majority of people that had a problem with the movie had nothing no problem with women but rather that it just didn't look good, or because a classic was being remade. (Which people around here, at least, always have a problem with) If it does bad then it will be because "everyone had a problem with the casting, and the movie wasn't given a fair chance"There have been and continue to be plenty of movies with female leads, yet, this movie is being treated like the future of female centered movies is on it's shoulders. That's the rub, when it comes to "statement-like" movies, and for me it is off putting. All that said, I will probably still see it in the theatre, if the reviews are good. I just wish the politics around this movie would go away. Chris
  14. The Ultimate edition is MUCH better too, so that probably helped out too. My wife and I saw it in the theater after ready so much negative crap, and like you I was expecting the worst. We both lied it, but I can admit I agree with the sloppy editing of the theatrical version. We watched the Ultimate edition last week and it fixed most of the problems we had with the movie. Chris
  15. Never heard of kids logic before, are they a good company? Chris
  16. Oh yeah, forgot about that. Arya add her to her list for that? Chris
  17. Why is Melisandre on Arya's list? I don't recall them ever interacting or Mel doing anything to the Starks? Chris
  18. Yeah, Axamonitor is where I learned a lot too. It's a good, just the facts site. Chris
  19. I was thinking about that look that Sansa and Littlefinger had at the end of the scene, I've read, and was worried myself, that Littlefinger's parting comment at the Weirwood tree landed home and that Sansa would become jeleous of Jon and may be a....problem. BUT, I was thinking that it would be an interesting turn of expectations if Sansa's look was because she know's Littfinger is going to be a problem for Jon and what if SHE ends up protecting Jon from him, turning around what Jon said to her about him protecting her. It would be bitter sweet if Sansa would end up sacrificing herself, in some way, protecting Jon. It would be a great character arc for her...starting off as the spoiled girl who kind of hated her "bastard brother" to a selfless woman who gave all for him in the end. Chris
