Saw your pic and was tempted to use the tubes again, but nope. Too risky for me. So whatever limited posing the trident and standalones can do without 'em then... http://imgur.com/07I6cy8

yo, Mike! Not Sonico, but a 1/3 for you. http://www.amiami.com/top/detail/detail?gcode=FIGURE-026255 1/3 @ 390mm uber expensive 30+k-yen. Jan/17 possibly resin or something looks like fully castoff-enabled...

Nice shiny paint, but how big will that be and in what scale this time? The recent 1/72 was pretty nice already.

Only mistransformation I see is the head-laser... Well, other than the obvious no wings and no FPs installed, that is...

It'll be nice if Bandai makes a Kamjin/Quamzin figure that can actually fit in the HMR Glaug. So I don't have to use some Lego or Kreo figs...

I thought this was the catch-all thread for non-macross Chogokins. At any rate, haven't come across anything about SRC Godannar. I'm still waiting for the SRC God Mars that they'd shown/teased alongside SRC God Sigma.

It'll be interesting if Bandai revisits the small-scale/non-DX Frontier valks. I think a transformation-capable VF-25 and others will be a bit more complicated in the HM-R scale compared to the current VF-1. I don't recall Bandai showing any teasers of Frontier-valks in the HM-R line like they did with the VF-2SS and others in the past Tamashii Events as of yet.
-
The Frontier valks were already released in the Robot Damashii/Robot Spirits line. I don't think they sold well (or at all). They were shelfwarmed and bargain-binned at 700y or even less so back in the day.

One of the new things I've observed with my new Hikky and Max is that the shoulder-joints are really extra scary-tight on the Hikky than even on the more newer Max. I really thought it would pull the same tragedy as one of Jenius' HMR Roy did. In fact, I'm actually still a bit worried about it and am being quite extra careful with this particular Hikky-1J.

Got my Hikky and Max earlier today: http://i.imgur.com/vCr59S5l.jpg Somehow getting a bit OCDish with Hikky's stripes alignment contrasting with Max's stripes...

Yeah. It's a very nice valk, but it is a bit frustrating and more involved when transforming into battroid-mode than compare to, say, the Yamato VF-1v2 and VF-4G, and even to the VF-11b. I say just a bit above the Yamato VF-22 in transformation efforts. I think it's just coz the YF-29 has alot of moving parts like the damn wings and the nosecone/hip/waist routine. Then changing it back to fighter and gerwalk ups the efforts. Lining up and securely pegging stuff can become a chore. Then adding the gun and lining it up properly on the included stand-adapter is another effort. As Jenius said, the transformation routine does gets a bit easier with experience. Plastic quality is about the same, imo. Glossy compared to the matte-ish of the Yamato. It's a chogokin so it is SOC-like in plastic-quality. As such, I never really had a scare when transforming any of my yammies, especially those rather tight 1/60v2, but this Bandai chogokin did made me pause a bit more than usual during transformation routine. I really thought I might break off the wings or the legs or even the pop-up cannons. Opening the missile-doors were a chore every damn time, Paint-scratching or whatever is always on the back of my mind. Get yourself some cloth and clothed toothpick or something if you feel like it. Oh, and the damn stupid bendy antennaes on mine are just Otherwise, it's a great valk. Mine hasn't gotten the loose limbs syndrome that other yf-29 variant owners have reported. Well, at least, not yet. I got mine on fighter-mode all the time... As such, reposting this pic coz just coz... http://i.imgur.com/yswRF6Tl.jpg

Yeah. I don't think the missiles are of any issue with the Arcadia. You might want to check the hip/knee/ankle joints when in Battroid mode, tho...

meanwhile... Jungle had some sale a couple weeks ago and found a couple of the usually scalper-priced SOC Fembots for around a reasonable 7k-yen each: http://i.imgur.com/Wd0KXDll.jpg Just now need the Snow White, Shining Shadow, and a regular GX-11 to complete my SOC Fembots...

Looking at jungle's pic, the Weathered Max-1S had the yellow BW-sticker above the Yamato-branding. Whereas the regular Max-1S does not, as seen in Jenius' pic. edit: here's jungle's pic: http://jungle-scs.co.jp/sale_en/?page_id=121&id=1550520

I think you're missing the Weathered Max-1S? Wasn't there a Weathered Hikky-1J, too?
-
Hmmm. Did her boobies shrank somehow? You may need to re/measure 'em...
-
Ouch! Is the Yamato or the Arcadia version? Which shop did you guy bought it from? I don't think the Tamiya thin-cement can secure it properly, but you can try.
-
Nice pricing on the Monster. How much is the actual shipping-fee they're charging for it? Don't quite trust web-estimates these days...
