Guess some fan in japan wants the upcoming Strike Roy Premium and just sold his regular copy recently, as ami's now listing an A/B condition regular Strike Roy: http://www.amiami.com/top/detail/detail?scode=FIGURE-018953-R006 Still priced high at almost 20k-yen, tho. An available new-condition is only at 21k-yen...

hmm. Looks actually kinda rather drab and dull red in hand to me, but also kinda more translucenty red. Still nice, tho. It reacts to flash a bit reflectively, so I had to pp and use the nef instead below. So anyway, after much griping and whining, decided to po HM-R Milia as my first (and prolly last) purchase from n-y when it was still open. And she arrived today. Somehow, the stumps are alot more prominent on her than on any of my previous HM-R valks. Poor Milia... HM-R Milia is stumped by the stumps Bandai gave her...

Of course, you can. That's what I did. Iirc, only need to flip the diaper flaps. They're separate form the upper body, anyway.- 17378 replies

Apparently, ET's quite surprisingly optimistic with the MSRP on this item...

Nope. It was a v2 iteration and rather recent. In contrast, the YF-21/VF-22 and the VF-11B/11C designs/moulds were all v1's.

Hopefully, it'll be Sunset Beach next after the M&M's!!!

fwiw, multiple TFW members have been reporting that their MP-36 orders from amzn-japan did not have the orange-plug. I'll verify mine when I get home later.- 17378 replies

I think Bandai based their production-volume on their Japan market alone, instead of the rather big asian market (CHN/HK/TW/KOR/etc). And within their Japan home-market, they starve it to only a few shops and limits the numbers they let out from even those few shops that gets qualified to carry their items. At least, that's what I gather happened with the Gundam Seven Swords MB stuff, as per mwf-member charlesxavier's share in another forum.

That's not really true. At least, ime. The KO/bootlegs I bought out of curiousity some years ago were all definitely crap. There's nothing good with any of it other than it was just lotsa cheaper than the official ones. Some people were saying their KOs of Prowl, Tracks and whatever were "good", but I really really highly doubt it. Those MP KOs/bootlegs were rather quite relatively simpler to bootleg than a regular 1/60v2 VF-1.
-
Kinda funny. These bootlegs most likely won't hurt Arcadia. People will still opt to buy their M&M if they ever issue them. These bootlegs will only really hurt the scalpers, especially those currently pricing their second-hand M&M's thru the stratosphere. The most obvious downside is that these same scalpers will then hoard all of these KOs and then scalp them for even more ludicrous pricings. So, the only winning move is not to play...

I think that actually brings up a funny conundrum for BW... BW: STAHP, Bootlegger! You're violating my Macross-IP! Don't do that! Bootlegger: Yeah, and? This ain't JPN, you know. We're in CHN, so your IP do diddlysquat here. We heard that that smelly hobo over there holds your Macross-IP outside of JPN. smelly hobo HG: Yo, BW! Want my help enforcing teh IP over here in CHN? BW: F-U, you smelly hobo! STOP TOUCHING ME! HG: good luck storming the castle, then. BW: gawdammit! --- Like I said before, it'll be interesting how the IP holders will combat this upcoming bootleg issue.
