  1. Yeah. Still looks awesome. I was kinda thinking you were gonna pair Yurisha with the Percival as an update on these sets...
  2. treatment

    Hi-Metal R

Very nice! A DX Chogokin version will be even much nicer, too!
  3. HMR Soltic Roundfacer now listed at: http://p-bandai.jp/item/item-1000115462/ !&I$#&YT#QHSEFHSF#%Y$*^%(&Y@& dammt, bandai!
  4. Guess this is one potential result of when Momo's all growed up... http://www.amiami.com/top/detail/detail?gcode=FIGURE-031043 PVC Pre-painted Complete Figure Scale: 1/6 Size: Approx. H280mm *Partly cast-offable 01/18
  5. I'm not really sure what you're trying to argue in here. Are you really trying to justify the KO/Bootleggers by using the lawsuit between BW and HG? You're really going off the rails if you're really just trying to do that.
  6. Anything HG-related is really a different subject matter altogether. It's ownership/trademark/licensing contention. It does not apply to this thread and does not apply to the KO/Bootleg manufacturers at all. KO/Bootleg manufacturers do not have any rights to do any contesting.
  7. Yup. At this point, it is what it is.
  8. Really has nothing to do with the KO/bootlegs. Whatever HG shenanigans there is, it is non-sequitur to this thread. It has its own thread.
  9. Wonder if the KO-people will ever dare to produce and sell their bootleg-version of Yamato's 1/12 Votoms mechs. The Yamato 1/12 Votoms line looks quite an untapped and potentially more lucrative and ripe bootlegging market than the Macross bootleg-market in comparison. Scalpers seems to have been having field days on even the crappy 1/12-v1s pricings ever since Yamato folded. --- At any rate, anybody found any pics or bbs/forum "reviews" of actual pre-release samples of the bootleg VF-1 1/60v2, yet?
  10. Can you cover all those reds in the area (legs/backpack/etc) with some cotton-balls and take the same pics quoted as above? Wanna see if those reds are somehow affecting the lighting (bounce/diffraction/shadow/etc). The Arcadia white do seem hollow, tho, compared to the opaqueness of the AngelBird. At least, from what I see on the wings: vs The light just goes thru on the Arcadia Hikky.
  11. re: Arcadia I think Arcadia just got smart about the crazy situation. The way I see it is that Arcadia witnessed how much the scalpers have ludicrously priced the Yammie VF-1's (even Kaki's!) on YJA, Mandy and other 2nd-hand shops, and prolly even got shocked to see alot of people still willingly bought 'em at those stupidly high pricings. Cracking shoulders and other issues, notwithstanding. So why not them, too, right? At least their high pricing ain't as ludicrous as the scalpers', and that their stuff are indeed new official products with slight improvements and what-nots. We can whine all day long about their pricing not being yamato's of old, but that's just how their market is currently willing to pay for their products.
  12. Well, not really all smoke at all, and it's kinda weird that you're only focusing on the cheapest labor factor and that you somehow think that's enough of a valid reason for bootlegging. Companies have to comply with both their home-country's and all the host-countries' laws and regulations. These are all international trade/labor/environmental/financial agreements and stuff. Regardless of which countries they are doing or outsourcing their business with. Bootlegging is not a "fair game" and it is totally incorrect to say the host-country does not care about IPs. All countries are expected to care and uphold IPs, per international trade agreements. Only the bootlegging people do not care about IPs, laws, trade-agreements and stuff. They only care about stealing money.
  13. Huh? Business is never a charity. Not really sure where you get that idea. As such, haven't come across any bootleg toy that is actually superior and costs really significantly less than the official. At least, ime. If these supposedly upcoming 1/60v2 bootlegs will cost me $10 and are guaranteed safe and superior and includes expedited trackable shipping, then I'll most likely get one or two. Just for curiosity's sake. Fwiw, and I think I mentioned it once before, these upcoming bootlegs will be much more a competition to the scalpers that have been pricing the old yammies to ludicrous levels. I think Arcadia will still have enough base willing to afford their pricing. At least, during PO times...
  14. Exploiting? That's a heck of a bizarro reason for bootlegging. Especially these days. Aren't there any government and laws in those countries that are supposed to protect their people from being exploited and stuff? International companies are required to follow their host countries' labor laws and stuff. If people are being exploited, they should get their respective governments to investigate and get them to stop the exploitation. Regardless, it will never be a valid reason for bootlegging. Heck! It'll instead prolly be a more valid reason for the price-hiking coz the host-countries are requiring alot of legal stuff (various laws and fees) to supposedly protect the workers...
  15. I'm not sure how really easy it is to copy Arcadia's VF-1 and stuff, but it'll be quite interesting how the rumored bootlegs will compare. Even more interesting will be the "premium"-editions of these rumored bootlegs. Guess one can only hope the materials used on these rumored bootlegs aren't toxic and stuff. It'll be kinda funny for these rumored bootlegs to actually have actual governmental approvals regarding product safety and stuff...
  16. So how're they gonna fund making these $25-$50 items? Are you that sure that the japanese market will buy them in droves and stuff to make and sustain profits and revenues? How much should they pay the laborers and factories for these?
  17. oh, and the new CFS Yamato with the asteroid ring is up now, too: http://www.amiami.com/top/detail/detail?gcode=FIGURE-030097 4130y 8/17 160mm
  18. welp! for anyone interested, Ami's now listing Megahouse's overpriced semi-partsforming VA HiSpec Cosmo Zero a1 : http://www.amiami.com/top/detail/detail?gcode=FIGURE-030746 16,100y 9/17
  19. The Battletech version of the Scopedog... Nahh, they didn't get sued with it. It was not part of the Unseen/Reseen shenanigans. As such, yeah. This 1/20 RSC is a very easy kit. Paneling is nice, but not really needed. Only the standing Chirico and Vanilla figures need some coloring (paint or otherwise). Ok, the ladder, too, if you want.
  20. Finally had some time to quick-build my 1/20 Votoms Scopedog RSC and here be some pics and stuff: http://imgur.com/7NI03bs http://imgur.com/IlQpl7d http://imgur.com/VBYBbsj http://imgur.com/TgT5Ia0 I was planning on making an Atlas out of it, but it's a bit too small for it to scale with my HMRs and 1/60 Destroids. Not sure if the 1/18 will scale better, but I know the 1/12 are a bit way too large. They're nice, tho...

  22. N-Y charges 28.6k yen for it during po? Guess HLJ was a bit cheaper at 25.8k yen. Relatively speaking, that is. Surprising, nonetheless. Thought N-Y charges lower, and then jacks it up on the expedited-shipping fees.
