I don't think there's any HMR as of yet that shows any yellowing since the HMR line is relatively rather new and that they're usually more grey plastic than the white plastic of the original 1/100 Hi-Metal. However, I think Jenius or one of the CDX folks (josh? veef? etc) has some yellowed 1/100 Hi-Metal VF-1J or VF-1S Roy. The most severely yellowed valk I've seen over the years were usually the old genuine Bandai 1/55 Strike VF-1S (and some of the Bandai Super VF-1S variants) and the 1/55 Jetfire. Other than the various Joons and bootlegs, that is. Maybe you can google it. You might find some yellowed HCM or something, too.

Thanks for the pic of the insert. Yeah. Just plain bad engineering. I think they pulled a similar "youredoingitwrong" insert shenanigan on at least the DX Mazinger's elbow-issue (http://collectiondx.com/toy_review/2012/dx_mazinger_z). I just hope the fans in japan continue to complain loudly and often about this fins and other DX YF-19 issue(s).

Compare the nosecone positioning between the HMR and the Yammie. Looks like Bandai's just trying to do some sort of a failing Obari-pose with it by pulling the crotch up instead of down like with the old Yammie/Arcadia 1/60 poses...
-
The HM-R has thinner lower-legs than the Yammie/Arcadia 1/60 in that comparo-pic.
-
Was it off-white? I thought it was bright-white when shown in the FB-2012.
-
Looks a bit blue/greyish. Hopefully the retail-release coloring will be in bright-white.
-
The only thing I can think of is that barrels were just extended.
-
Possibly the chest cannons.

Wow! Version-1, huh? That's really good to know. It's been showing up randomly at Mandy around 40k-yen the last couple of months. The RS-parts-only showed up last month, but Mandy's still scalping it for 18k-yen. I just need the RS-parts-only, but am not willing to pay that scalper-pricing.

New Macross TV Series in 20xx (sometime this decade)
treatment replied to Tochiro's topic in Movies and TV Series
I can see it now. Four pilots that were tight childhood friends. One of them transferred out during school, and then returns back having developed some sort of rivalry with one of the other guys that he hasn't seen for some years. Then they all reconciled and re-form their childhood team. To compete in valk swimming. Then, for whatever reason, valk biking. All the while all of them being shown shirtless most of the time. Including the valks. Bandai will then title this anime Macross Free!... What? -
The best mode for this DX is definitely the battroid-mode. Especially with the arm-cannon accessory. The only downside is that the GU-15 gun is way too anemic that it looks more like a rather thin baseball bat than a gun.

Augh! Think I'd blocked that out from memory. Well, fwiw, I think there's enough spacing/room somewhere inside the DX YF-19 leg-FP for some smallish semi-attached or even fixed micro-missiles (white-plastic or painted) ...
-
The MPlus anime shows the micro-missiles coming out of the FP of the YF-19, ala Super VF-1 style. I don't remember the M7 VF-19 having FP, but it could be like the VF-22 where the FPs are "integrated" already as opposed to the Macross Plus non-integrated FPs on both the YF-19 and YF-21.
-
I said the Yammie VF-19 variants, not the Yammie YF-19. We used to have a bunch of Yammie VF-19 pics here at MWF, but am too lazy to search. Here's a Yammie VF-19S pic with the micro-missiles from CDX: Here's the Bandai Hi-Metal from Jenius' site:
-
Ya know? Was rewatching MPlus again and noticed this scene: According to M3 site, it's the BMM-24 micro-missiles. Checked my DX YF-19 stuff, and nope. Not included. Checked Arcadia's 1/60 from anymoon, and nope. Not included as well. So both Bandai and Arcadia excluded the BMM-24s in favor of various missiles and stuff that weren't even in the anime. I remember the Yammie VF-19 variants and Bandai Hi-Metal VF-19S having micro-missiles. Guess it's something to look forward to if both Arcadia and Bandai somehow do a 1/60v3 and a DX YF-19v2.0. respectively...

About 10-secs or less, ime. And yeah, I also don't quite understand why some here are even thinking of not loosening the screws before initial battroid-transformation. Doesn't alter or change the aesthetic and overall appearance of the toy. Not like it can't be screwed back tightly. Guess some people want to experience the bizarro thrill of a very expensive regret when the hips breaks during first battroid-transformation...

If not HM-R, then could be the next DX VF-1.

Thinking of gooping some Future on mine. Maybe it'll work to keep it place better than it currently is now.

Will need an Isamu in street clothes/shorts with that. And a boobilicious Lucy...

Yah know? Why are the available pictures of this KO bootleg never include the pilot figure? edit: There is one in that shop that shows what looks like a tv-roy seated inside, but is that the actual bootleg or a genuine yamato/arcadia? Just weird that they don't show the figure outside like the other included accessories.
