Highly doubt it. Even Hikaru forgot it was nerfed...
  2. heh! Just got back from watching it in the local theater. My take... I'm not really sure what some people here have "watched" or if they actually watched it at all. This PR:U movie was actually fine and enjoyable. It was really much better (acting, storyline, even cgi, etc) than the first one. It wasn't at all what the trailers have shown. It ain't no PowerRanger crap like I thought it would be. It surprised me how much heart it had. The new characters and the actors were all great. Even the kids. Yeah. Even Scott Eastwood. Totally blew away the first film's main characters. The plot was straight and very coherent. There's enough of a twist in it to really appreciate it. The jaeger-kaiju battles were good, and about as good as the first film. The jaeger-jaeger fights were also nice. lol at the shown in the movie. Nice direct placement there. Speaking of homage, not sure if even the directors and producers knew about it, but one of stuff they did was a great send-up to one of Mazinger TV episode. Of course, it doesn't have the lol-comedic subtext like it had with the actual Mazinger TV episode and , but it was nice enough to those who can recognize it. I think they could've made it longer, and unfortunately, wasn't in it. Hopefully they do make the part-3... edit: Also, for those thinking and have read reviews that the new Jaegers are more anime-mech in movements and stuff now... Nope. The new Jaegers ain't no anime-mecha in movements. At all. They're not as slow and lumbering like the Jaegers in the first PR film, but they're definitely still quite a bit slow. The new Jaegers are not even anywhere close to the same league with regards to movements like any Gundam, Mazinger, Getter, Valkyrie, Scopedog, etc anime mech that you're all prolly familiar with. The new Jaegers are all still tank-like in their movements. They just have some new and a bit fancier weapons. That's about it.

  8. Still hoping Arcadia re-start their 1/12 VOTOMS line so I don't have to keep seeing an old Yammie parts-set being ludicrously scalped at 18k-yen and up...
  9. Finally! Charles (optimusprimesg) reviews SOC GX-77 Gipsy Danger: Waiting on CDX and RPA to do their's...
  10. no idea why (or why now?), but Wotafa just reviewed the 1/60v2 VF-1J Yammie... https://youtu.be/X-ZEnAuNDWk guess he seems to luv it so much, he's got at least three in the review.... edit: posting it here since i can't find (nor even really want to revive) the ancient 1/60v2 Yammie VF-1J thread
  11. Nice stuff! Tho their Fyana seems to went amok with the donuts. Looks and performs alot better than the upcoming Bandai 1/60 gashapons or whatever that'll actually be. Good that some other companies are still developing stuff for the VOTOMS series. Hope GSC decides to do Nendoroid ATs and characters to compete with this line...
  12. Welp! I don't particularly like most (if not all) of Delta valks, but Mirage's colors is the only one I can sorta tolerate at least in fighter-mode... https://imgur.com/KdSr0su Being on sale at 18k-yen new/damaged-box was a nice, too.
  13. found my neca-7s so moar pictarz! https://imgur.com/j4U6IBf https://imgur.com/ueSrNew Yeah. Neca's 7" Gipsy "articulation" is really quite a bit embarrassing compared to the SOC.

  16. Ok. First impressions on the SOC GX-77... Good: -- It's heavy. -- It's damn metal! At least in places like chest, collar, inner joints, pelvis and inner frame, I think. Some panels (front thighs/shin) are metal. Rest are hard plastic. -- Waist/torso joints are tight right now out of the box. -- Thigh pistons move when you bend the knees. -- Wings (shoulder and back) movable. -- Shoulder Wings swing in and out. -- small back wings pegs into a ball joint connector. -- Great coloring. -- Great balance. -- Excellent shelf presence. Not quite so good: -- quite panel-y. lots of panels/paneling. -- limited neck movements/articulation. Look Up is ok. Look-down is limited. Can't really turn head to look sideways. (head is completely removable, tho). -- Elbow-Rocket is not spring-loaded. Just simple extensible elbow/arm feature. -- will really need to swing the shoulder-wings out when articulating the shoulders, as accidental breakage may occur coz of the bad stuff below. Bad: -- Shoulder-Wings have a tiny connector-joint. Looks delicate and easily breakable by accident. Be mindful of it! Other observations: -- Barely any clicky sounds. Knee, underarm, and pelvic joints kinda make some very soft pseudo-clicky sounds.
