Doesn't really matter where it correlates or whatever. This Invision-forum feature is just a FAIL feature. It should be either disabled already, or make it like TFW-forum where you can identify the voter. Otherwise, just try to keep ignoring it and stop commenting about it.

I like to think that Bandai's gonna implement some necessary improvements and some retooling for the inevitable DX Roy-1S, and that will take some redesigning and mfg time. In the meantime, the easiest and quickest way to milk this current DX-1J is by just releasing a Hikaru Brownie-1J recolor. It's canon, anyway...

amz updated their po-page with what seems to be finalized pics of the bd-covers and some screenshots: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/631764232X however, the covers still don't give details or titles of the "6 compilation movies" it's including. At any rate, the remastered TV-episodes should be still be nice to get. Especially if you missed out on the now-ancient CPM ammo-box dvd-release. Currently down to US$33.19 po-pricing and a March-release.

Should be in the Packaging/Extras section at #11.

From what I've observed so far on my copy. I think the alignment-issue in fighter-mode on the DX is due to the arms not being tabbed-in to each other for secured connection, and are naturally flaring out in opposite directions. With the right-arm pulling out more. It'll need some pressure (tabbed-in legs) to get them to join together to align and fit the back-tabs. This is a bit limited, tho. The best solution so far to secure the arms and not have it droop out or disengaged its tabs is to both install the gunpod and have the legs tabbed-in since the gunpod slot pegs in both arms secured both in the more correct alignment position and the legs prevents either arm from flaring or biasing out on one side. The yammarcadia 1/60v2s have the bracing/edge along with dimple/tab on the arms to avoid this particular issue, it seems.

You never know. Bandai's prolly thinking of doing a similar thing. They'll prolly tag it as "SP" edition ala their recent SOC GX-70SP...

Hmm. Well, i don't have anymore 1/48 yammies, my bright-white 1/60v2 yammies and arcadias ain't "a bunch of yellow expensive gunk". Here are some recent pics of my Yammie Hikkie-1J alongside the HMR and the DX... http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/uploads/monthly_2018_12/dx-y160v2-hmr.JPG.09d6a30051567b3ce05b5607466e1cc4.JPG http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/uploads/monthly_2018_12/gettingready4dx1j.jpg.17277ea718125759c45c6cad03d105e9.jpg http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/uploads/monthly_2019_01/hikaru-1J-stuff.jpg.3864135a6efecdf23afd89e065c92dc9.jpg I should take out my Arcadia 1S'es. They're even way brighter whites than my Yammie TV-valks...

Apparently somebody in the amz-jp customer-reviews/comments section had also posted some pilot-figure measurements and comparisons: back in 1/4: https://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/customer-reviews/R2YELJPS3208GE sample: There are also interesting user-pics posted by other amz-jp customers, too.

I think the Yammie 1/48 pilots should fit the DX, technically. However, I think Bandai deliberately made the cockpit-area really tight to not let that happen.
-
I think the yammie 1/48's nosecone looks far elongated compared to the DX. I don't have a 1/48 TV-Hikaru anymore, but Jenius has a pilots-comparo pic at his site now: http://anymoon.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/Bandai-DX-VF-1J-Hikaru-12.jpg

Ok. Mine doesn't pop out by itself just yet in comparison with DWC's and NeoMatter's. At any rate... Don't really think I can even actually offset the arms or not on mine, but here are pics of my DX 1J's arms connected but somehow misaligned: Maybe a bit difficult to spot it, so here's another pic along with the yammie: See the misalignment on the DX's arms, yet? Now here's a pic with the gunpod attached to make the misalignment go away: It's an annoyance. May trigger some OCD if you're into proper symmetry and alignment. Fwiw, the yammie 1/60v2 has tiny tab/dimple combo on its arms to peg together and align nicely. In contrast, the DX arms are clean and does not have any tabs like the yammie. You'll have to attach the gunpod to join and align its arms together flushed in Gerwalk-mode. Fighter-mode seems to use the connected legs/backpack as leverage/pressure to keep the arms aligned and flushed.

Ok, thanks. That's kinda what I was afraid of, however. Our first instinct was to make sure everything is aligned properly, but now your finding makes it go against that. So should we deem this a bonafide Bandai QC issue (design or mfg) ?
-
I'm a bit confused with the pic #1. It looks offset. Is that before or after you got it to work properly?
-
Unless the new Launch Arm can actually finally do the proper anime-accurate grab-mode with the claws, I rather they just re-release the recent Clear-Stand and/or resurrect the Mighty Block stands (possibly super-size it a bit) instead.

They're either just came back from vacation and are just backed up with stuff. Or, they're just being totally lazy about your particular order. Didya also preorder a VF-31A with them and yet to receive it still?
-
No worries. Bandai will sell a brace thingy add-on like they did with the Messer/Draken-accessory. As usual, it'll be a TWE and will have an MSRP of 5000y. Just for the clear brace thingy...
-
Possible that Arcadia will go in hold-my-beer mode when they saw the original still getting scalped at ami and/or manda for almost 10k-yen used/abused...

As nice as this DX-1J is, I just hope it doesn't get loosey-goosey like some other Chogokins tend to get. That said, I'm already a little annoyed with the arm-slots not really locking with the underside-tabs when in fighter-mode. Seems like the design makes it dependent on the legs being connected to the backpack to support the arms in place so that the arms don't sag down or dislodge by themselves.

uhmm, ok, then. why do you have the leg-fins folded inwards?
