    Prolly just standard disclaimer stuff that we've been ignoring and stuff. I think you will indeed get some import-tax if you exceed some dollar-amount threshold. Used to be any imports costing above US$200 or so back in the day (at least 10-20 yrs ago), but I think they upped that threshold-amount to US$800 or something.

    Anubis mentioned he got charge with "tax" in the TFW-thread, but I'm not sure which tax (tokyo or his US state). Maybe he can clear it up here. The one on RJ kinda doesn't make sense when adding tokyo-tax, but I don't know bleah's state-tax. add/edit: just for kicks, i tried orderin Sentinal Final Dancouga just now: item-page: final order-confirmation page: The amount would be around 47.5k yen if they're charging Cali taxes or possibly 48.5k yen or so with TokyoTax. Instead of that 44.1k-yen listed on that final order-page. Minus that relatively humongous DHL fee, of course...

    Yeah. Some 1/55 hk/tw ko/bootlegs blister-packs prolly already did them or something close. They occassionaly shows up as some ebay-listing or local chinatown shops stuff. They're not even the classic Joons of sokor. Iirc, we used to have some old 1/55 deco thread here at MWF.     That's what discussions are all about. We all challenge everyone's views and if there is something amiss. Even tho I knew you were talking about feature-creep instead, I still took you up on the design thing since that is what the recent interesting discussions about the leg-FPs was all about. What was Bandai thinking when they glued up the leg-FPs? Some factory guy messed up and so they juust roll with it? Or did their design really somehow just didn't work? I mean, Bandai does have a reputation of over-engineering and over-designing rather simple stuff. The YF-19 stabilzers, the symmetry stuff, etc, etc. :shrugs:

    Not really sure why it's somehow relevant, but yes, yes I know much about designs and stuff. It's part of my day job since I work with artists, marketers, and engineers. I think you're just projecting now on a tangent now, tho. Gluing up a part with moulded details to hide it? What other plausible explanation other than they didn't design the cover properly to secure and detach properly?

    Design creep? Bandai's FPs actually have similar albeit somewhat nerfed designs on their FPs like the old Yammies, as they've shown in the TN event DX-Macross annoucement, They then inexplicably glued the leg-FPs together once released years later. That's not really design-creep. Maybe more of a design-failure on their part...

    Yeah. Good luck on getting a DX under reasonable (meaning under 20k-yen) pricing. Then the FPs (17k+) and Missile sets (8.5k-yen+). Then figure out the shipping rape for each and/or all of it. It's really a scalpers' market if you didn't get a DX during PO times...

    Late to this party, but I have noticed before that my old Yammie had some pinkish hue sometimes. I took it as just some sort of bounce/reflection of the red-stripes since it is not noticeable most of the time to the naked eye. It was rather prominent on dslr output depending on your whitebalance settings/values.

    Yeah. This upcoming Screamer-v2's puny thighs/leg-day skipper, the bulbous underside kibble, the seemingly current diaper mandate, and the reported faux-parts (faux canopy? etc) are making it rather just a bit unappealing to me. Already anticipating the msrp to be north of 37k-yen...

    Screws? My 200( was it an 00 or an 01 release?) reissues do not have any "screw" on the heatshield.
