ep-1 of SDFM-TV. VF-1D was the only mecha in it. The Roy VF-1S and all other valks were in fighter-mode (1A, Angel Birds, Ghost). To be hopeful, i say it's either the much-wanted 1/3k SDF-1 TV-edition, or they gonna reissue the 0A and non-PF 0D coz those seemed to be toy "booby traps" ... 😝 Or maybe they'll reissue the 1D since that was the only valk in battroid-mode in the episode.

Honestly, and quite unsurprisingly, Netflix chose the wrong Shinichiro Watanabe anime to do a live-action version. They really should've done Space Dandy instead of Cowboy Bebop. Less otaku-angst controversy and less adaptation/casting/directorial issues. Space Dandy is pretty much just Ace Ventura in Space with a giant mecha and an awesome soundtrack! It's an already very awesome anime that they can't possibly mess up at all adaptiing to live-action!

I saw the previews and official trailer. Overall, quite meh impression. It just seems like a totally American-version of how the Japanese themselves usually make live-action versions of their anime and manga titles. Possibly with less obvious over-acting typical of usual japanese live-action versions. Like the usual japaneseI live-action versions, I think this production, direction and even dialogue-scripting are more into just capturing the "look" of the characters and the superficial "ambiance" of the story. Resulting in possibly just actors cosplaying. So far, the trailer feels no soul and just feels very empty to me. The action scenes are also way too... wtf slow?! imho, Cowboy Bebop anime is still a very good anime very inspired and very based on various mixes of regular japanese yakuza and western noir action films. This live-action version, based on the trailer and previews, is just lacking that feel and presentation that the old anime somehow evoked. Hopefully it's just the trailer that's not impressing me positively. I hope the actual series turns out way better ala The Boys or something, as I see some actually good actors in there in the casting.

Ok. A little update on this observation-point. Figured more out why the arms on mine were a bit sliding inward way too easily when the arm-armors are installed. It wasn't just the weight of the arm-armor. It's actually a combination of the shoulder-armor, the arm-armor and the shoulder's ball-joint connection that's making the the arms slide inward way too feather-easy. Tested further by removing just the shoulder-armor, and the arms doesn't quite slide inward as feather-easy as before with the shoulder-armor on. Quite an odd thing to be happening. edit/update: Charles seem to have actually shown and commented about the same issue/anomaly with the arms from his review at the 15:28 mark.

So a bit more thoughts on the DX GBP-1S armor: good: quite impressive as it is installation and removal are rather easy nice detailing and coloring not-so-good: the Shoulder missile-pile are oversized a bit when checking from both TV and DYRL animation scenes. The old Yammie/Arcadia are more balanced aesthetically in the sizing and presentation, in contrast. The Arms missile/armor are a bit heavy. I'm not sure the DX's arms can hold it a posed raised with it as such in my pic for a long time without evenutally sagging and stuff. Like the missiles and FP sets, this is another quite overpriced accessories import if you're not a japan-resident. meh: The reversed Kite coloring is a bit annoying. The tampo is nice, but a bit overdone as per usual Bandai. more due to the existing original DX VF-1J issue, the Chest-Armor can be rather bit floaty and easily raised-up/insecure when the armpit-fillers are not installed on the VF-1J. due to design choice, the wings of the 1J are a bit exposed and not covered by the crotch/dong armor. I prefer the longer dong-cover of the 1/60v2 as it mostly hide/cover/protect the valk's wings behind. the 1J's head/neck seems to have a bit inadequate neutral height-clearance (lower/deeper/sunk) when the chest-armor is installed. Had to play with the hinge to extend the head up a bit. So yeah. That's it for now. Despite some minor aesthetic and design issues I have with it (as well as pricing and availability issues), I like it overall as an addon. It makes the rather bland naked 1J more of an imposing display piece when wearing the GBP-1S. I have not tried (and don't usually bother) displaying it holding the gunpod, so I'm not sure if it'll be an eventual sagging issue or not.

Now that I have it in hand, I'm find myself rather a tad bit annoyed with the reversed-color UNSPACY Kite symbol that Bandai used for their GBP-1S. 😦

UPS? They still don't offer EMS even though it's been open and avaiable for some time now? Weird. That said, 7881y is quite expensive and quite high for just the Armor-parts, but that's prolly just regular rate for UPS individual/non-corporate rate. btw, how many did you actually ordered from N-Y? fwiw, I just paid AE for mine for 4414y, and I thought that was a bit exhorbitant already. They use some local-company but shipping is really handled by DHL, anyway. It was also a bit funny at AE that both their "Fast" shipping and "Economy" shipping has the same 4414y rate.

I think USAF and US-Marines uses different colors on their jets' landing gears. I think the "White" gears was specific to USN jets, and possibly just with the F8, F4 Phantom-II (navy), F-18, and of course, the F14.

Thought navy jets like the F-14 always have white landing gears.

Why even bother when there is no DX VF-1 or even HM-R Macross in question #10 and #11 of the survey? Only VF-31J, YF-29, and YF-19. Must be a inventory-glut. The YF-19 DX is not even really that good of a purchase even against the wonky Arcadia-YF19 original release...
