unfortunately, yes, i have and the store was Animenation during their vf-1a sale. i'm not sure if it's their fault or the shipper (ups?/usps?) they used. The box was pretty much smashed on one side. Luckily, the contents was not affected at all. oh, well. that was the last time i'll ever buy anything from them.

Yeah, the MZero OST songs were pretty much mediocre.... except for Sara's song. It's different, but it is a classy theme. I like whistling it from time to time.

Claudia Black, Monica Rial and Kira Vincent-Davis, maybe. Everyone else... Bleh... I'd rather have... Atsuko Enomoto (Kurumi) Rie Tanaka (Saki) Masayo Kurata (Karinka) Houko Kuwashima (Nakahito/Nako) Kotono Mitsuishi (Misaki) Actually, Atsuko's the only bonafide cutie one in the japanese Kurumi-cast. She was featured in the R1 interview-extras of kare-kano disc-4. The rest of the Kurumi jap-cast were just really meh. Now if they had added Maria Yamamoto in the cast, they would've had two bonafide cuties. But of course, our tastes differ. --treatment--

I find SAK to be weaker compared to Mahoromatic. But there were so much character-design eye-candy on it and the story itself rates a B from me. and the opening-theme was so addicting. Even tho I think the english-dub was a B-, I luv Hillary Haag's (my favorite english-va) swearin-like-a-sailor on eps 13-14. It was freakin hilarious and was excellently done. I didn't expect a hottie to swear like Hillary did with her Karinka. Great voice-acting, I say. Oh, and the other Kurumi dub-team were hotties, too. Check out their photo-shoot. http://www.advfilms.com/favorites/kurumi/g...photoshoot.html

We're just talking about the cut footages, not character-names as the Macross character-names were known to have been regionalized/localized internationally. By HG or BigWest, I can't remember. Fwiw and these are from my memory, but it should be in the Animeigo-release, the cut-footages were like the [*] Roy and Hikaru eyeballin Minmay's butt [*] Roy checking out some more ass from Skull-1 control [*] The smoking bullet-holes on the Zentraedi [*] Minmay's hair-importance [*] bloody bullet-holes on Roy. I'm not sure if there are more stuff than these and frankly, I really don't care nor do I really give a crap on RT-version since I pretty much know the Animeigo set contains all the scenes that were cut from Robotech US-release. Somebody else can prolly do a side-by-side/scene-by-scene comparison between Animeigo's, original Legacy, and the upcoming Re-masters. The vocals were of the Macek-dubs (US-release) so you can hear more annoying Reba West regarding Minmay's hair inside the VF1D. But like I said, I just heard/read that these scenes and dialogue-stuff were included in the Perfect-Collection. But you verified that they weren't, so I guess Macek never did included it at all. They were there before in like real-video or avi format or something. Can't remember. I'm not sure if these scenes were in the extras-discs of the Legacy-boxes. Afaict, you won't need any proof other than what you'd already seen in the Animeigo-set. I don't think HG will re-dub the english-dialogues at all. That'll be a more expensive proposition. The only advantage with this cut-footages will prolly be the proper pacing of english-dialogues, instead of the always-rushing nature of the Robotech-dialogues. Yeah. lol! Like I stated earlier. The robotechies can now prolly listen to Reba West's Minmei in 5.1!!! ;

Just to be fair... Actually, iirc, those "violent" scenes were originally english-dubbed and were not cut/colored-out in at least the Macross-dub (philippines) and the original Robotech-dub (US). I believe Macek made the decision to cut those scenes out in the regular US broadcast-release, however. I heard/read Macek re-included those scenes on the Perfect-whatever version vhs-tapes, but I don't have those tapes to verify. Iirc, Robotech.com used to have clips of these cuts, but I haven't visited that site since it was first goin up (Steve Yun is still an active member of the Ars-forum where I hang out most of the time). I'm not sure if those clips are still up there. So, yeah, it should not be a ret-con since it was always there, but was just taken out for the US-broadcast and the first/second dvd-releases. Fwiw, that was always the thing that bothered me with the Robotech-dvd's as to why it was still cut off/colored-out from the original and subsequent brick dvd-releases prior to this upcoming Remaster. They had the clips so they always had it, but just did not include/spliced/stitched them to the source-reel of the Robotech-dvd's. *shrugs* As for the video and audio remastering, meh. I gave my first-generation Robotech-dvd's to someone else and already have the vastly-superior Animeigo set with the original japanese-vocals and japanese-bgms. I rather not listen to Minmei(Reba West) in 5.1 since I already abhor her vocals in the original mono. Although, I do feel like most RT-fans got screwed with this announcement and their previous RT-purchases. Such is life, I say. Either you wanna double-dip, or boycott it altogether. HG and ADV oughta do the honorable thing and offer some sort of trade-in offers, tho. But that's just my opinion on it. --treatment---

Be forewarned that there are two versions of Sakura Diaries. [*] the altered individual discs (4 discs) [*] the collector's edition brick (2 discs) The individual discs ($24.95/disc), iirc, were the censored version, i.e. digital bikinis and stuff. I think the subtitles and the english-dub clashes/different on many levels, as reported by many sites before. The Collector's Edition, however, was the actual uncensored version and contains a better and different subtitle-track. It also does not contain any english-dubs. It's the better deal of the two since I got my copy long time ago for like $30. You might get it around between $30 - $40 on retail. ---treatment--

the Metal Siren and the VF-2ss. Yamato can do those.

Like what other dvd release from who in the last couple of years? try to limit it to anime. *Clears throat* NINJA SCROLL AND DOOMED MEGALOPOLIS!!! Sorry. I get salty from the double dipping that's a trend these days. Well, Ninja Scroll 10th-anniversary edition clearly had alot more additional features (DTS/6.1/ws/fs) over the original dvd-release, even tho both versions were from Mangle. So it's a different release-class altogether from ADV's upcoming Robotech-remaster. I'm not sure about Doomed Megalopolis as I never was interested in it. And, heck, it's from ADV, too, anyway. The one releasing this Robotech re-masters next year.
-
ohhh, too many to suggest... well, here's some good ones. not so dark, but thoroughly enjoyable. in region-1, too. [*] Dai-Guard [*] Irresponsible Captain Tylor [*] Ranma 1/2 first season Oh, yeah. Mahoro r0x0r!

hehehe I guess ADV thinks 5.1 audio of Reba West as Minmay is a good thing. oh, the humanity!!! hahahaha
-
I highly doubt that ADV will have the same remaster-quality of Animiego's set. Fwiw, if this ADV set actually features the original english-dubs made in the Philippines and not the notoriously horrible Macek-dubs, I'll spring for it. But that ain't gonna happen.

Just when we thought the evil has been buried, comes this announcement from AoD-forum... http://www.animeondvd.com/news/pr.php?pr_view=267 DLW (adv-rep) said the remaster-quality will be like the Mospeada and Southern Cross. I'm not holding my breath on this one, but I know some people here are Robotechies. --treatment--

and for the short-haired Ishtar fans like zeus. i think the emulator-outfit is slightly a bit better than a thong. in some weird way.

I'm not sure if thongs were that popular back when M-II was done. Anyway here's almost a thong.
