treatment replied to treatment's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I read somewhere that it's now available at Best Buy and Circuit City @14.99. Not sure about other retailers like Target or Walmart, tho. -
I like it. Ishtar is just divine.

Got it yesterday while visiting at Fry's. The region-1 is made by Miramax and contains [*] English-dubbed US-theatrical version [*] Original Chinese version (uncut) Video is wide-screen format. Audio is dolby-5.1 in both languages. No DTS-version. Soft-coded full and signs-only english-subtitles. From what I'd watched so far, the US-theatrical version cuts the opening locker-room sequence and goes straight to the penalty-kick. It also digitally-replaced the chinese-characters with english-spelling, i.e. golden-leg, shaolin calling-card/paper, No Peeing... etc. The english-dub was actually good and not like the horrible generic kung-fu dubs some of us were used to. Stephen Chow voiced his own character in the english-version. price: $12.99 until 8/28/04 (iirc), thereafter $14.99 @ Fry's. Don't know if BB and other retail stores have it, yet.

actually, that VF-2SS kit is a Bandai-valk. I own two. It's an HG, so it's easy snappable kit. The stickers sux, tho.

Mou Ichido Love You It's not included in the domestically-available OST-1. It's in the 2nd OST, which is not available in US domestically. It's also available in the recent Macross The Tribute (live-version) and the older Macross Song Collection 1995 cds. Dunno if it's included in the recent Macross Song Collection 2002, tho, since I don't have that cd.

Ahh...the possibilities

Aye. The Teen Titans Robin, in the animated series, is just that: Robin. There are hints that it could be Dick Grayson, though... SPOILERS AHEAD! Ye be warned! Here we go: -There are three Robins. Dick Grayson, Jason Paige, and Tim Drake. The Robin in Teen Titans seems to lean toward Tim Drake's description, however. -It was hinted that the current Robin is Dick Grayson (Larry the Titan is Robin from another dimension, and seems to be the exact opposite of the Robin in the series. Short, fat, can fly/manipulate stuff...and Larry the Titan's real name is Nosyarg Kcid, which is Dick Grayson backwards. -In an episode of Titans, Starfire travels forward in time and meets up with the Titans twenty years in the future. Robin is no more...he became Nightwing. This again hints toward Dick Grayson. -Like Bloodcat says, Dick Grayson, in the animated series, was at least of college age. Neither of the other Robins were, but in the classic Batman series, Dick Grayson was around 14. So there's a possiblity that the Robin in TT could be the classic Robin instead of the "new" Robin. But that still doesn't fit in; in yet another episode of TT, Robin is forced to go to a prom. He has to be at least a junior in high school (or around that age), which means 15-17 (most people would say 16). Only the drawings in the show should be leaning towards Tim, but in all actualities, it's always will be Dick Grayson as Robin in Teen Titans. They showed a long-haired Nightwing in one of the episodes, which is Dick Grayson after his Robin-stint. Pay attention to the Robin-uniform. Tim's uniform is black-red-yellow, while Dick's was the updated-classic black-yellow-red-GREEN. Even the grown-up Robin (dick grayson) in Batman-TAS sports the black-yellow-red-green uniform. -
well, it used to be sold at Wal-Mart.

M+ dub is one of best english-dubbed/acted anime there is. It was just too bad they didn't get to dub the Movie-edition.
-
not really. I think those bastards just over-bought valks to make a profit in re-sale market, but alot of us refuses to buy inflated pricing and stuff anymore.

you suck, man. i hate you now. i want mine soon.

The Mac-II songs/soundtracks are pretty good. Wrt to the toys, I think only the VF-2SS was released by Bandai as a 1/100 HG(?) kit. I have not seen a Metal-Siren toy. Btw, the 19 was never in MacII. fwiw, Mac-II is not as infuriating as 7. For starters, it doesn't have monsters-of-the-week stuff. Secondly, it ain't canon so anything goes. And Ishtar's THE Macross-babe, canon or not. All things considered, the only thing really infuriating about MacII is the english-version of Ishtar's Mou Ichido Love You song. I'd warmed up to the dubs of MacII. Still weak, tho, but tolerable nowadays.

fyi for the region-1 owners of the recently-released Ghost In the Shell: Standalone Complex Special Edition region-1 dvd: here's the animeondvd-thread about the glitch: Ghost in the Shell: SAC DTS Japanese Output Glitch thread at AOD I'd already confirmed the glitch from my setup. So, if you'd bought the Gits-SAC SE and you have front and rear-speakers from your home-theater systems, please check your copy. If your copy has the glitch, please email Bandai-USA about it at support@bandai-ent.com and/or Manga Entertainment at http://www.manga.com/contact.php . The OST that came along with the SE also have some issues, as detailed in this companion-thread at AOD-forum: Ghost in the Shell:Stand Alone Complex LE OST problem

the clearest Jessica Alba snap I got, before getting herded out. Wish I'd bring my handycam with the zoom, instead of just the camera.
