  1. still a little iffy on these guys, but they were relatively cheap at amzn, so... might have to just gift it to the kids.
  2. Well, here's Swindle doing a handstand. Coz he can. With his doors. Yeah...
  3. Yeah. Black Convoy is totally nice. Unfortunately for me, ... I so sad.
  4. HELL YES!!! Awesome news! edit: oh and can any one of the mods update the thread-title with this news? thanks!
  5. I just hope it's just amj's player messing it up. Did some snaps on it. tint-file shows more tealish shade than blue. tint1-file shows oversaturation of teal. tint2-file shows some oversaturation on the orange and reds/pinks background and a faded skin toning on Sharon. tint3-file shows more Sharon's face as more greenish/tealish and the whites are more eh. Sharon's hair shows a different kind of red shading on the amj player, too. Like I said, hope it's just amj's player messing up the colors.
  6. C'mon, guys. Try harder with the theme-ing...
  7. what the...??? don't tell me Bandai Visual's just jacking it up with teal and orange tinting.
  8. saw these at the local tarjey yesterday and thought might as well grab 'em: Really think they're overpriced at $9.99 each set, but I they're retail-rare enough for me and it completes my Blaster minions. They're also kinda cute.
  9. Err... Way too busy and loud box-art. Artist trying to overcompensate on something? Inner jacket art is kinda meh, too. Still preferring the minimalist-but-simply-awesome box/art of the remastered dvd-version.
  10. I think Sunstreaker/Sideswipe does the opposite and fold (rather, hide) their arms into the trunk.
  11. testing a new toy (60mm/f2.8g) and i got these guys out, so jpg-shots...
  12. Not sure if you'd seen any heian-era stuff, but it's a little bit different from the usual top-knot/tokugawa-era samurai stuff. Sansho the Bailiff (blu-ray) was released last month: http://www.criterion.com/films/823-sansho-the-bailiff and Gate of Hell is coming out next month: http://www.criterion.com/films/28199-gate-of-hell Both of these are must-watch, but they're really old-school stuff.
  13. just wanna say, Yu Aoi rulz all!!!  edit: let's try the non-subbed version instead, since the cuts out at 30-secs here at MW-forum, but not from YT.
  14. Well, let's see. Fujisawa films made so far: Twilight Samurai -- 2002 (Yamada) Hidden Blade -- 2004 (Yamada) Love and Honor -- 2006 (Yamada) Samurai I Loved -- 2005 (Kurotsuchi) Sword of Desperation -- 2010 (Hirayama) Only TS seems to be barely out of that "within the last 10 years" thing...
  15. The film selections from that site have a bit of questionable "must-see" quality, imho. fwiw, I got a bunch of Ozu collectors-set stuff that are must-see japanese movies, but will most likely bore you to death if you're neither a film-buff or a film-student. Besides, my parents have all 'em right now, so I can't take pics of 'em. At any rate, here are some must-see criterion stuff that I haven't given to my folks, yet: However, if you're just looking for some nice japanese films to watch, here are some enjoyable contemporary japanese films that you can still get via amzn (or possibly netflix): I don't have the One Million Yen Girl, yet, since I haven't seen a subtitled-version, yet.
  16. Well, color me surprised, but actually saw two FoC-Grimmys and a single FoC-Blaster at wally's tonite. Each at $22.96. Also saw FoCs Ultra-Magnus and Sideswipe at $15.96 each. No Blaster minions, tho. --- Btw, saw some pics at TFW of FoCs Grimmy and Blaster priced at $6.99 at Marshalls. Prolly good if you can spot him at the price if you're near one of those shops. found the pics at this thread: http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/transformers-toy-discussion/459493-official-ross-tj-maxx-marshalls-5-below-stores-new-instock-items-thread-128.html#post9085649
  17. I'm honestly not impressed with any of them. Will most likely passed on them like I did with Sideswipe and Alert. :shrugs:
