/facepalm And you say I'm talking about false equivalency. At any rate, you're really just stretching. You have no valid counterpoint. Basically, you're just in denial that other people have valid concerns with valid comparisons about this toy being overpriced and underfeatured. If you don't like to read those valid stuff from other people, then don't even comment dismissively about 'em. I don't really care if you want to spend your money on this toy. I'm fine with your choice. Be fine with mine and the others who are not getting this toy. We have valid issues with it.

That is the benefit! It's canon. It's official. Everyone saw it in the movie. It's not some mere "because I can" feature or use. Nobody would really care that this specific feature is lacking if the SHF Hulkbuster is not currently way overpriced.

Say what now? False equivalency how? The VF-0D and this SHF Hulkbuster are about same price-point for purchasing, yet you get more for the money on the Phoenix. The articulation and detailing on this SHF is pretty much the same with even a cheaper SOC like the $50 GX-08. Heck! the GX-08 prolly has more actual diecast metal and stuff than this Hulkbuster. The SOC Gaogaigar is about the same msrp as this Hulkbuster, but you get more features, gimmicks and stuff with SOC GGG for the same money. So far, the only thing this Hulkbuster distinctly have that typical SOCs don't is the lighting-gimmick. Basically, this Hulkbuster is totally way overpriced and underfeatured. Bandai does not really have any valid reason in overcharging for it. People against it have valid reasons and have valid comparisons to make. As such, you can try and continue to justify the pricing and features by comparing it to crap like Hasbro if that will make you happy. It's your money to spend, anyway. WTF!? You have watched the movie, right? https://youtu.be/mjx-02XWuzk

It is pricey, tho. Bandai really jacked up the pricing. It's not transformable and it does not seem to be able to combine with an SHF Iron Man. It just have lighting gimmick. As such, I rather afford the off-color VF-0D from Arcadia than this Hulkbuster. At the very least, the Phoenix has three modes and stuff...

I dunno, guys. This one is much prettier, much sexier, and a scale bigger. Castoff-enabled, too... http://www.amiami.com/top/detail/detail?gcode=FIGURE-010851 a bit moar expensive, tho, but Mike can easily afford her...

Usually popular items for the US-market like SHF DBZ characters. TWE's like Goku (regular?), Krillin, the Androids, Vegeto, Broly, the upcoming Adult-Gohan, (god-mode) Goku, gold Freeza and prolly some other stuff are/were available as regular items from Amazon via Bluefin. I'm not sure if you get the TWE brown-boxing from Amazon, tho. This Hulkbuster is way expensive, tho, so I'm not sure if Bluefin will try to distro it here in the US at all. We can only hope they do.

Like I said, usually. I don't bother with non-TWS sites for TWE stuff, as I don't appreciate even a little markup on an already expensive TWE. Some TWE ends up in Amazon via Bluefin and are cheaper to get than importing from N-Y or A-E during and after preorder-times.

You can only hope. However, just be prepared to get severely scalped by N-Y for it if they get some to re-sell...

That's standard basic stuff for Bandai. Their plethora of Gundam Balls have articulated clamping arms and stuff since whenever! As such, I expect this HMR Regult to have sturdier solid plastic, compared to the rather softish-plastic of the old Revy's.

oh, my bad. TWE == Tamashii Web Exclusive. TWS == Tamashii Web Shop Basically, this Hulkbuster ain't gonna be offered as a pre-order item on regular import-shops like HLJ or Amiami. Usually...

Added plastic hinged doors and gummy pilots should not add significant cost to the toy. But knowing Bandai, they'll add paint on the gummy pilot and charge triple by making it a TWE... ??? I don't buy any Toynami. I do have Revoltech Regults, tho. Still don't see the need for any more articulation on it other than knee-bends.
-
It seems that it's a TWE, so even more difficult to procure if you don't know japanese and you don't have an existing TWS-acct...

Meh. You're way overcomplicating stuff and overestimating Bandai. Bandai will just simply put a generic non-articulated gummy pilot inside their HMR Regult if they ever decide to. They'd included an upper-half-only non-articulated Klan-Klang on their Frontier Robot Damashii already, so there's precedence. Also My Yammie 1/60 Q-Rau fits her included Miria just nicely. No need for any complicated articulation. CM's Max was just an afterthought and from a different company, that's why we gotta take his boots off to put him inside his Q-Rau. Which reminds me, what damn articulation would you want to see with a Regult, anyway? It's an eggball with two sticks/legs. It can only do backward knee-bends.

geezus, you guys. "ab-crunch" is a very bad and very ugly idea for the valkyries. I think revoltech or some other had something that looks like an ab-crunch on their vf-1j or something, and it was so damn fugly.

Bandai has a current propensity to limit stocks and cut availability on certain items they make/sell to shops to artificially drive up demand and further inflate scalper-pricing. Frontier chogokins and SOC Voltes V comes to mind.
-
Ricing a toy with different missile-loadouts is far more sillier. To each his own, tho...
-
Doesn't matter right now. It's sold-out/closed almost everywhere. Wait on release-date and maybe some legit online-shops will have some rare stocks/availability. Expect higher pricing if you do find it, tho.
-
Does it really matter anymore? Prolly should just aggregate the various comments in this thread about it.
-
More additional possibly non-canon useless missiles (like the YF-19's) are alot more sillier than a rotating cockpit detail. Besides, rotating the cockpit adds to the satisfaction of transforming and playing with the toy itself.
