Thinking of maybe getting another one. Just to show contempt at Arcadia for not having grey-goggles on their upcoming 1/60 edition.

Guys, guys! Did you somehow forget that hlj's usually ass slow with their so-called automated confirmation-emails? They ain't like ami or even cdj wrt confirmation-emails.
  6. I didn't bite on this. I don't really think it's worth it. I rather have Bandai make another VoltesV-40th run, instead...

Ami re-opens their's... Nope. Closed again quickly...

:sigh: I gave in and got one at ami. Still think it's stupidly small and expensive for a 145mm figure. Maybe I can use my points to drag down the pricing...
  9. the awesome theme of the awesome series...

I hope to heck there is a preorder madness. I hope the scalpers get all of it. I hope to see the very high scalper-pricing on these at various auction-sites and stuff. I hope to heck none of the non-scalpers buys any of it from them. I hope they get stuck with boxes and boxes of these stuff that they can't move coz nobody wants to buy it. I hope to see boxes and boxes of these linger on auction sites for years with no foolish takers. I hope these rot, loosen and yellow quickly inside the box without being purchased from any and every scalper(s)/scalper-stores. I hope Bandai gets unsold inventory-glut of these for many years to come, too...

There's prolly still a bunch of Robot Damashii Klan Klang in Bandai's stockrooms, so Bandai can just repaint them green...
  13. The only time I bought multiples of the same valks was during the old 1/60v1 days and when hlj had a firesale on the 1/55 reissues. They were all damn cheap back then.

I reckon you need to brush up on your BT/MW stuff coz the Spartan ain't just a prototype for the BT/MW and they didn't take cues from it. It was (along with other Macross mechs) an actual official mech in the BT/MW universe prior to being referred to as one of the Unseen...

I think the last time Bandai has a valk that was close to the lineart was their chogokin vf-25v1...
  16. Not sure why this 1/8 figure is way overpriced since it's not even castoff-enabled: http://www.amiami.com/top/detail/detail?gcode=FIGURE-011435 imo, my old 1/7 Kanu from Griffon is still much much better than this overpriced figure...
  17. don't re-color smaller box/packaging with stands msrp under 8000yen
  18. nice. Just hope it's the correct color if/when they do...
  19. "tinker" is a bit forgiving term to use with Arcadia. imho, I reckon Arcadia's just got a bunch of crappy leftover mould-test plastics/materials and then jacking their valk-pricing way way way up to pass them off as their "new standard valk plastics". They're also a bunch of significantly color-blind blokes...

I agree. Looks like the same proportions as the old one. Prolly just bad photography on the previous version pic. That said, maybe Bandai's using new plastic material and/or paint-finish for the new version.

Yeah. Bandai screwed up the paint on the pilot. Must be a rushed job...
  22. Thought it's a much better Sheryl...
  23. That Mike guy is prolly into this... http://www.amiami.com/top/detail/detail?gcode=FIGURE-011388
  24. You guys got too much disposable income to spend to be sad about the delay...
  25. You don't need to be versed in aviation at all. You just need to be versed in the canon world of Macross. Be it the actual anime and/or the official specs magazines and/or the Macross Compedium. Then you will hopefully find out that the VF-0 uses conventional engines instead of the nukes in the VF-1. With that, you can then figure out for yourself why the VF-0 is longer and larger than the VF-1...
