  8. Yup. The 1J is event-exclusive. and Ami's only offering the 24pk set of the Go Nagai and Doraemon characters: http://www.amiami.com/top/detail/detail?gcode=FIGURE-013815 http://www.amiami.com/top/detail/detail?gcode=FIGURE-013823 Like I said, expect N-Y or Jungle to scalp offer the 1J variant after the show.
  9. oooo Lala... http://www.amiami.com/top/detail/detail?gcode=FIGURE-013937 ami's title says "1/6" , but ami's spec states "1/7 (approx 265mm)." Feb/2016 release. Don't seem like castoff-enabled, but she still looks nice and sexay and non-loli...
  10. The 1J seems to be limited to the Tamashi Nation 2015 event ticket purchasers. http://tamashii.jp/special/tamashii_nation/ However, expect N-Y and Jungle to gobble some up for regular gaijin-scalping...
  11. It's funny coz this statuette's torso is much closer to the 1/60 Yammies/Arcadia that actually transforms than to Bandai's own HM-R line... Seems to be diecast per http://tamashii.jp/special/katamari/
  12. I saw that posted at TD earlier, but I wasn't quite sure how to post it here since it's just a some statuette. As such, it's kinda funny how the torso on this is much nicer and non-elongated than the one they use in the HM-R...

    Hi-Metal R

There were several threads here in MWF back in the days about the yellowing of Bandai valks. Mostly the 1/55 Hikaru (1A, Super-1S, Strike-1S ) and the G1 Jetfire. Iirc, the 1/100 Bandai Hi-Metal line were also reported as affected. Something about the white plastic that Bandai used on the Hi-Metal line that triggers yellowing even when stored out of sunlight and never taken out of the box.
  14. Totally #7 option. If the exchange-rate somehow goes at least 200y-$1 or better, then I'll reconsider getting any Arcadia offerings (macross and non-macross)...

    Hi-Metal R

Well, prolly coz like the old 1/55 Hi-Metal, it will almost guaranteed to yellow quickly. See Renato's older 1J earlier. Could be also the reason why the newer "R" variant comes in grey now instead...
  16. hmm. Of the ones I kept, VF-1 is the most (13) I still have. Nine 1/60v2 Yammies and four 1/55 Chunkies. filtered by variant: Six 1A, six 1S, and one 1J. filtered by pilot: Roy (3), Hikaru (6), Max (2), Kaki (2).
  17. Just coz Super Robot Chogokin GaoFighGar was an irresistible $37 at amzn a couple of weeks ago... Scaled with SRC God Sigma (which cost me 5680y back in april )

    Hi-Metal R

I don't quite understand anybody liking the elongated torso on this HM-R 1-J.
  19. The middle ones are the 1/60v2 valks. I don't have the VF-1D, but the Max and Kaki 1As are totally worth it, especially with the 1J to complete the Vermilion Team: Check out Saburo's even better hi-res pics for the 1A's: VF-1A Max: https://www.flickr.com/photos/projektzerothree/albums/72157653305074894 VF-1A Kakisaki: https://www.flickr.com/photos/projektzerothree/albums/72157652658043204 Check out this thread for VF-1D pics: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=40220#entry1085464 The top Super Valkyrie is the 1/55 1990-version with the funny visor: http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/toys/_bandai_super_vf1s.htm Not really worthy, unless you're collecting really old stuff with the funny visor. The bottom part Super/Strike Parts is only worth it if you have the actual 1/48 valkyrie. The VF-0A is the new expensive Arcadia version. Here's Saburo's page for it: https://www.flickr.com/photos/projektzerothree/albums/72157657654234819 The Robotech Regult next to the 1/55 Super Valkyrie is trash. Don't bother with it. Just wait for the upcoming Bandai HM-R Regult instead. edit: btw, check out MWF's legacy toys-page for most of the old valks from various manufacturers: http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/toys/_toys_menu.htm It should help you out a bit wrt old valks and stuff.
  20. Yes. That's the old v1 version. No, it's not worth $50. It's only worth $20 including shipping, imho.
  21. It might worthwhile just to get yourself a Future/Pledge clear floorcare polish to apply on the loose joints of your Nora. Preferably the original unscented version. It's about US$11 at amzn right now.

    Hi-Metal R

fwiw, this HM-R Armored-1J is still available at cdjapan at around msrp: http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/product/NEOGDS-139741
  23. re: colors The Arcadia 0D maybe true to the artwork, but the way they have communicated and promoted it was just stupid and deliberately misleading. There were in fact many promo-pics of the Arcadia OD that were released and shown with varying colorshades of blue. Not only that, the grey-goggles were not confirmed until after the Arcadia Armored 1J was actually released. Before that, Mr.K was elusive about the grey-goggles. Only after Bandai showed the HMR did he confusingly blogged that their's will be grey-goggles also.

    Hi-Metal R

I disagree. The overall proportions and outlook is quite meh. I won't have mine delivered in another couple of weeks, but this HM-R already looks fugly to me compared to the 1/60. What's more, this HM-R's has the misproportioned (too long/stretched) cockpit/torso in 1J battroid-mode. The only advantages of this HMR are that it is indeed a nice shelfspace-saver at around 150mm and it is significantly cheaper than the Arcadia 1/60. The accessories are nice. Still weirded out by those red-tailed cluster-missiles, tho.
