They're both not offered for sale, yet.

I think applying some tiny amount of future polish should help both backpack and side/hip-missiles be tight and more secure enough. Haven't really bothered applying on mine since I keep my HM-R in fighter-mode.

As long it doesn't get touched or glanced at slightly, those missiles stay in place like the backpack. I might have to apply some future polish or just tape it up so I don't lose any of it when I handle it.

The backpack on my HM-R flops at the slightest touch in both armored and non-armored mode. It stays in place as long as it doesn't get touched. It's locked properly on both. And those damn side-missiles pops-out/dislodges even more easily at the slight touch.

  8. HLJ's not instantaneous synch. Just try to log out and log back in to see if it refreshes your accts-page.

I don't have any of the original HiMetal, but just watch Chachi's review since he compared this HM-R to the old HiMetal-1J: https://youtu.be/TYUR5hO2m80
  10. Well, hope both are worthy for you. Macross toys are just so much money drain than most other collections...
  11. Have you received it already damaged? As such, you can just try to return it to the seller to get your money back and just buy a newer one from the usual japanese-shops. You can try stalking hlj or amiami or any of the usual japanese shops for new or used yf-29b. Jungle currently has a couple sealed ones at: http://jungle-scs.co.jp/sale_en/?page_id=116&do=detail&id=103000007267
  12. MegaHouse is a sub-brand of Bandai.
  13. 32k-yen for the VF2SS+SAP, huh? Way too expensive for a valk from a manufacturer that has questionable engineering and stuff. Doesn't even have their usual magnet stuff, it seems. Rather hope Bandai's HM-R version comes out early next year.
  14. Even at 21% off, it is still quite expensive for a tiny figure. But it's the SDF-1 TV-edition, so might as well pre-o...

"Order Stop" status. Looks like HLJ removed the valk, anyway...
  16. The primary difference I can see is that the old VF-17 was just fat while the VF-171 was just a bit more trimmer. In both Fighter and Battroid modes.
  17. Ace Combat: Love Live Idols Assault ~Macross Delta~ edition...
  18. The VF-25 was just too boring to me. Too much back-kibble in battroid-mode, and too short of legs-thrusters/exhaust in fighter-mode. Couple with the amount of ridiculously stupid ricing the animators tried to graft to it in super and armored packs. In contrast, the VF-171 was alot more pleasing to the eye. Quite very slick. Too bad the CF toy-version was junk.

I didn't see your invoice, but was the Strike Roy-1S a 2009 or 2010 purchase for you?
  20. Unfortunately, this kind of non-macross discussion is just gonna add more to the clutter that we already have here in the Toys-forum, so I suggest moving this thread to the Anime/SciFi forum.
  21. Just check over the Anime and Science Fiction forum: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?s=cc81119586c40d10dd14b3b746325be5&showforum=26 Lots of non-macross stuff there we collect, discuss and display.

The things that are bothering me most with my HM-R GBP-1J is how the side-missiles comes off at the slightest touch. It should be more secure, but it comes off rather easily. Same with the backpack. Lock it at the bottom-hinge, but it still falls outward easily at the touch. With and the boosters attached. It doesn't really stay in place when moving it a bit. Gravity much? These two areas are quite annoying when handling it. I'm a little careful when swooshing in armored-mode since those side-missiles are tiny to find if it dislodges. I think the feet on mine is similar to Lolicon's and the same area. In fighter-mode, the leg-tab seems to show gap even after I secured it. I have to always check that it's tabbed in tightly so I don't see the tab and the gapping.
  23. Bandai had done that before against Yamato with almost the same variants (HiMetal 1/100 and 1/55). It's only recently now that they have returned and improved on it as HM-R, but Yamato is gone and Arcadia is currently not producing any of the VF-1 or destroid lines. Bandai could've shown their 1/35 when the Yammie 1/48 ruled the market. Right now, Arcadia has pretty much priced themselves out to compete effectively against the HM-R line. As for ET, they're actually a more direct head-to-head competitor to Bandai in the gokin/super-robot line. Some are even really scale-to-scale same robot characters. They offer a more varied competition since they actually have more stuff to offer than Arcadia. The engineering on their products were either average or so-so, tho, yet they strangely have quite a following. I reckon Bandai's just being regularly reactive during TN-2015 when they showed their VF-2SS and VF-4, albeit in HM-R scale instead of 1/60 like ET and Arcadia. Heck! I'm still waiting for Bandai to release the SRC God Mars they showed last year on TN-2014. They've only released SRC God Sigma that was also shown alongside with it, but it was such a disappointment to fans and to sales that it's been on fire-sale a month or so after release. ET has already released their larger God Mars magnetic version, but it's not on inventory-clearing fire-sale like Bandai's God Sigma. What will be really interesting is if ET buys Arcadia thru a merge. It'll boost ET's products in terms of better engineering and stuff. However, it'll most likely jack their pricing to even more ridiculous levels.
