No "Space Gandam" titling anywhere on the box? FAIL!!!
-
Just saw it on Ami. No indication of any stand being included. The promo pic is also quite pink... Rather hefty 19540y preorder pricing at ami, too. http://www.amiami.com/top/detail/detail?gcode=FIGURE-018953

It is nice that Bandai is being in acknowledging and offering a replacement fix for it. Surprisingly proactive. It would even be alot more nicer if they offered replacement fixes for the banana antenna/head-lasers as well...

I have all six of the classic Tomisaburo Wakayama movies. I have all the Season-1 discs of the TV series released by the defunct Tokyo Shock label. It's the only season they ever managed to release. Bastards. This particular TV season-1 episode was never rebroadcast in Japan, nor was it ever included in the official VHS and DVD releases from Japan. Prolly elsewhere, too. Finally found it last year on yt. Yay! BUT. It's in Italian. I don't know Italian, but it's all good. I still know the damn story and can still follow it. It's just a little weird hearing them speak in Italian. Like I said, it was never rebroadcast nor was it ever included in the vhs/dvd releases. Because, boobs. Prolly. Not really sure. Season-1 had other episodes that have shown boobs, too. This one prolly just really really ticked off the japanese censors back in the day to force it off the rebroadcast and vhs/dvd inclusion. As such, this episode is prolly one of the bestest episodes of S1. Very violent as usual, too. Really excellent swordfighting on par with the film version and the Zatoichi series. Kozure Okami. aka Lone Wolf and Cub. TV version. Original episode-2 ~Oyuki~ Enjoy. Even in Italian dub... https://youtu.be/0Wx3bfCXPj8 :hail: :touche:

I reckon Mike would like this to be 1/3 or even bigger, instead of 1/7... http://www.amiami.com/top/detail/detail?gcode=FIGURE-018772

Gave all my 1/48s (1J/Hikky-1S/1A-Kaki DYRL, FAST-Packs, GBP, stands) to my nephew a long time ago. He likes it alot. I just ran out of space for them. The chicken hands were forever fugly. The Hikaru-1A broke apart before I could give it to him, tho. Oh, well. No regrets. I still keeping my 1/55s, tho...
-
So now Bandai will provide: -- both hand style -- both head style -- both pilots style I wish they just get rid of that useless and fugly "small-wings" crap, and provide the black feet option instead.
-
I would like to think it's a direct factory-fail on that. Coz it will be really really very disturbing if hlj really is just re-packing a returned-item as new...
-
Well, your feet-less VF-1S and DWC's current 0S shenanigans makes it even more of a bad lottery. Arcadia's been overcharging a feckin' premium pricing on these QC-fail valks...
-
It's become such a lottery with Arcadia right now. VF-0A == exploding hips. VF-4G == loose joints. YF-19 == no mention whatsoever if they ever fixed the loose ankles for this re-issue. About the only Arcadia valk that seems to be fine is the 0S and the pinkish VF-1J/VF-1S...

Bandai FAIL!!! I'm now reconsidering my May-restock order for this.

The Magnificent Seven: A Remake of a Remake
treatment replied to areaseven's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Oh, Ok. I've heard about the sequels to M7, but I've never watched any of it. I'll take your word for it that they bad. I've even heard it they made a TV version of M7, but never watched that either. I think I went from watching the original M7 to the Sergio Leone films and to The Wild Bunch film back in the day.- 33 replies

I haven't watched it in a while, but other than the ride off, I think those are mostly promo pics. That said. You should really go watch it. Rental or otherwise. It's very much worth it. It's got Charles Bronson, man! And Yul Brynner's even more badass than him in the old film! Calvera's also one of most entertaining villain of all time. And in contrast fwiw, in the original Kurosawa film Seven Samurai, the villains there were really cardboard one-dimensional stand-ins. No distinctive character or personalities. Only Mifune and a few of the villagers have actual character personalities.- 33 replies

Yeah. Still quite an expensive $250 fighter-only toy that is not even in DYRL colors, tho...
-
I would want these in DX-Chogokin scale, tho. Still hoping Arcadia will do a 1/60 version if Bandai passes on 'em...
-
I don't quite get why the CF-1A promo pics on Tamashii-web has DYRL-head, DYRL-hands, and DYRL-pilot. Yet it has TV brown-feet. The magazine-scan has TV clown-hands and TV-head.

The Magnificent Seven: A Remake of a Remake

Well, I reckon they just can't since there's only just two to three actual stars in it among the ensemble. That said, I really wish they'd gotten Christopher Walken in it...- 33 replies

Which one are you talking about? The one with Keanu? That one was made and produced by the Japanese themselves. This new M7 is not out, yet. It will not be a Seven Samurai remake. It will be a Magnificent Seven remake. Classic cowboys and desperados, instead of ronins.- 33 replies

The Magnificent Seven: A Remake of a Remake

Spaghetti westerns are always good. The original Magnificent Seven film was way above it in terms of excellence. The original was a great badass film and such a classic collection of great actors working well together. Denzel and Ethan are great actors, too, so this remake will not be just another run-of-the-mill crap and will instead be really awesome. Based on the pic, Denzel will do Yul Bryner's character. Wonder who exactly is gonna reprise Steve McQueen's character. Pratt or Ethan? Regardless, eagerly looking forward to it!- 33 replies

Ok. The ankle is not as free-swinging anymore as earlier. Reckon the Future did coated it a bit. I felt the knee is not quite as loose as earlier, too, but not really sure. Overall, it still tips over by itself, so I might have to use another compound or something. However, I tried just repositioning the feet to be more diagonal from the legs and pointing opposite each other, and that seems to make it a lot more stable and well-balanced in battroid-mode. It doesn't tip over anymore. More solid now. Still quite an ugly battroid to my eyes, but at least it's not a flailing drunk anymore. So, pic...
