    Yep ! Great job on those. I too have sworn off the Vellejo putty. Same problem as you loads of shrinkage and it never hardens just turns rubbery.

    Yes, terrific job on that SDF-1. Wish he'd documented how he modified the arches to the main gun booms in more detail.

    Way to @wm cheng! Patience and Perseverance pays off! @pengbuzz is this the Revell kit with the "make your own sign" gimmick ? Edit ok I see it is ( you posted while I was typing. This is the best I found so far ( from an Ebay listing)

    You know you're most likely gonna regret not getting the lighter version if you miss the opportunity right? Why put yourself through that, as well as the torture of the back and forth (should I/shouldn't I) debate? If I were in your place I'd just resolve to get thenew release and sell the 1st issue for what I could get and look at it like a discount the cost of the new one. (I know it proably wouldn't really work out that way, but I'm pretty good at lying to myself when I want to😉)

    Posted back on Page 14 of this thread. It is more than just the height. The general proportions are going to be different depending on the interpretation of the 2-D artwork and how that translates to 3-D.

    From the video transformation sequence it doesn't look like there is any mechanism to 'lock' the wheels at any particular angle in Armour mode, so it may be possible to get them a little closer to the body. However, likely not as close as your 18°. It looks like there will be clearance issues with 'bulk' from other parts. I suspect getting the wheels closer will mean making the horizontal distance between them wider.

    Hey Pengbuz, The only decals I have are from an original Boxing of the kit, so basically the same as what you have. I do however have A4 clear decal paper, clear acrylic sealer, afunctioning printer, envelopes and stamps. No problem to print some decals up for you if you send me the files. On the main site here: https://www.starshipmodeler.com/tech/cz_mask.htm There is a download able set of pretty decent Aztecs for the old kit. I could print those off for you, but if it's marking details you're after I'd need the files. Don't want to add any stress ( I understand that too many options can become stressful for some folks)- it's just an offer and there's no rush to decide. Take care.

    I still don't understand what those pistons are doing on the rider's shins. They can't be serving any function in that location, just looks like pointless detailing that makes no sense.

    Last day of school here today and I finished everything that needed doing yesterday; so just a quick staff meeting in the am and the rest of the day was mine. This guy arrived yesterday so I brought it along today and did a quick assembly. Sorry for the bad cell phone pics.
