  1. Really? I could have sworn it was diecast. I'm not sure where mine is at the moment, but I do still have it. It's really beat. I was talking to a friend of mine, and he was saying the same thing about the nosecone being diecast. This is interesting...I'll have to go and find it to make sure. Randy
  2. That makes me want to go and get the Q-Rau more than ever now. I know I really like the look of those figures. I hope they aren't hard to get. Randy
  3. Hey guys, I have all the Bandai Reissues, and I've noticed that my Jetfire has a diecast nosecone while all the Reissues have plastic. Now my question is, did the Takatoku and Bandai originals have a diecast nosecone or plastic? I remember that page from years ago comparing the original Hikaru VF-1J to the Reissue, but I don't remember them mentioning any difference in diecast content. So is Jetfire the exception? Thanks. I didn't see any posts about this. Probably too old of a question. Randy
  4. My Max and Millia VF-1Js get sent out this week! I finally got myself a Fast Pack for my 1/48th VF-1S Roy this past weekend! I'm going crazy for Valkyries! I just can't get enough of the 1/48th with the Fast Packs. I'm just glad I got those TV hands for my Roy so he doesn't look silly next to the M&M Valks with those flimsy hands. Randy
  5. Man that's cool! Those pics really make me want that VF-1S and Minmay too! Randy
  6. I want a review please! And more pics! Thanks! Randy
  7. Really Great Custom. I'm amazed at the work done. Randy
  8. Absolutely Gorgeous! Man, I can't believe the work you must have put into that to get it look so nice. Excellent job! Randy
  9. I got just the VF-1S Roy so far, but I'm getting this VF-1J, the Millia type, and hopefully the Hikaru type too. It's too bad that people say there are quite a few quality control issues with this figure. I hope mine is satisfactory at the least. Randy
  10. Up until recently I thought Max had a blueish gray helmet and Kakizaki had dark blue. Then I saw a model of Kakizaki's VF-1 I was surprised it had green stripes. The coloration is hard to tell on them due to their lack of appearances in the movie. Though Max is blue and Kakizaki is green. That's the way it's suppossed to be. Even though in that scene Max looks like gray/purple and Kakizaki blue. It all has to do with lighting. Max's Valkyrie also looks tan instead of white/gray. The lighting changes the colors. Randy
  11. That's great 柿崎速雄! I love it. I'm surprised that Yamato hasn't done this yet. I'm really glad you did the TV version too. I bet if Yamato does this it will be the Movie version. Though you hardly ever see them in the Movie. I'm also glad you chose green for the pilot's suit. I always felt that was more appropriate than the red versions we sometimes saw (too similiar to Hikaru). Keep up the great work! Randy
  12. That is one sweet custom! Maybe the best Valkyrie custom I've ever seen. Really excellent job with the paint job (nice touch on the visor) and decals. I'd buy that if Yamato massed produced it! Which is saying a lot because I never have $130 to $200 to spend on 1/48th Valks! Randy
  13. Very Nice picks Hayao Kakizaki! Though does it actually come with those movie hands? It still has the TV hands like in the package pic right? Thanks. Randy
  14. Awesome work! I hope Yamato releases this (with appropriate mold changes). That's one sweet custom! Keep up the great work! Randy
  15. That is one sweet custom! I love the look of the head and of the Fighter mode. Randy
  16. That is one sweet looking Valk! I'll be getting mine from NCS with the Millia version when it comes out. I got it on preorder for $150 each! Randy
  17. WOW! I just saw this. With it not being in the Toys forum I'm surprised I ever noticed. I can't believe that they're actually releasing DYRL figures under the Robotech license. It's almost as weird as Transformers releasing toys called Gobots. And they're using the Japanese names too. Well maybe we'll finally get a Region 1 release of DYRL on DVD. Maybe they'll even do a good dub of it too, not that I would watch the dub over the sub. Randy
  18. Looks very nice to me. But I only saw the first OAV of M0. And that was almost a year ago now. It would be nice if this was in scale with some other valks, but... Randy
  19. I always thought this scene was very traumatic and cool. I was very shocked when I first saw it (I watched it before I had seen the episode of the TV series were Kakizaki died). It was very quick and brutal. While Kakizaki was making joke. I always thought it was neat that Max became Skull Leader in the Movie. Between his leading the squad of Valkyries in that scene and his VF-1S (Yamato Release This!) it became fairly obvious. Also he had mad pilot skills. Randy
  20. That's Awesome! Nothing like owning an original. I personally will be satisfied with the reissue, but the original is a piece of nostalga. Nothing beats the original boxes! I remember staring at all those pictures on the Valkyrie Factory so many years ago, hoping some day that I could afford those valks. Now I got most of them (I have all the reissues), so in a way a dream has come true for me too. You have a great find there my friend. Randy
  21. I'm glad to see the lines on the windows are black in that magazine picture. I hope they stay that way. When they were blue or red (like in the HLJ pics) they looked weird. Also they're black on the TV show anyways. Randy
  22. Thanks guys! You'd think with the Transformers Decepticon Stearing Wheel Cover I have she'd start to notice... Randy
  23. That would be really cool to get a Millia and Max VF-22S! Not that I need more to buy (just plopped $320 for the 1/48 M&M VF-1Js). I nearly cried though when Gamlin ruined Millia's 35 year old VF-1J!!! Now Millia knew how to fly that "relic" in that anime. Randy
  24. This is what I'm worried about. My ex-girlfriend used to be into toys and anime. She even bought be several Transformers and Bandai Reissue VF-1J Max and YF-21. But since we broked up I've started dating this other girl. She knows I'm a kid at heart but doesn't know I collect action figures (yet). She collects spoons and diecast cars (I think). So I'm not really sure why I'm worried. Though I am. Any advice? Randy
  25. I for one would never want to see a Live Action of Macross! UGH! Especially if it were produced in Japan (low budget). Come to think of it, if it were produced in America, it would be even worse! Mainly due to the bastardization they would do. But if they were to reanimate the original TV series, I would be all over it like ugly on a gorilla! Randy
