  1. Nah Outpatient, pretty much any four-letter curse you can think of is used to describe robotech. See you back on Arcadia, Signed, Schwarzwald
  2. Maybe the animators suffer from the same problem most people do, when someone facing them says left, they think that it's that person's left, in other words, their own right hand. Maybe they got it reversed and by that time it was too late to do anything about it.
  3. It does bear a strong resemblence to a VF-1R from the 2036 art. Perhaps a preliminary sketch?
  4. Excellent work.
  5. Oh like that hasn't been obvious over the last ten or so years, with the Master-Piece-Of-Crap models, the re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-mastering of their DVDs, and the overall quality of their work. They'll do anything for a quick buck. The ugliest head definately has to be the Masterpiece VF-1R "Jack Archer" model made by Harmony Gold. It's beyond ugly, it just looks like someone's been drawing VF-1A's without their glasses.
  6. Um... hate to burst your bubble there, friend, but there is no Macross II VF-1R. The only fighters in Macross II are the VF-2SS, VF-2JA, VF-1MS and VF-1XX. The supposed VF-1R that you're thinking of is one of two things. It's the Harmony Gold interpretation of the Macross animation error, which has three head lasers on a VF-1A head, or it's the Palladium lineart of the VF-1 chassis with permanently attached FAST packs. So you're either thinking of this (the art error from SDF Macross) http://www.robotech.com/infopedia/mecha/viewmecha.php?id=57 Or this... the palladium books concoction. http://www.robotechresearch.com/rpg/mecha/...f-1r/vf_1r.html The page says it's from "Entertainment Bible 51: Macross II" but no such fighter ever appeared in Macross II: Lovers Again. The only fighters appearing in that series were the VF-2SS Valkyrie II, the VF-2JA Icarus, the VF-XX Zentran Valkyrie and the VF-1MS Metal Siren. (The fighter is also absent from the Macross Compendium)
  7. 1.) VF-2SS Space Superiority Valkyrie Mk II (Macross II: Lovers Again) 2.) ARX-7 Arbalest (Full Metal Panic) 3.) VF-1S Skull Leader (If you don't know where this is from...) 4.) M-9 Gernsback (Full Metal Panic)
  8. Heh... that just proves my point. "If Ultraman and a YF-19 had children... the result would be..." I still prefer the Macross II Valkyries to the Macross 7 ones. I'll concede that the VF-1MS Metal Siren and VF-1XX Wicked Angel (Zentraedi Valkyrie) aren't the most aesthetically pleasing fighters out there, but they're better than Nekki Basara's "Ultraman Jr." My fave has always been and will always be the VF-2SS Valkyrie II
  9. Hmmm... funny and romantic? Perhaps Love Hina, Saber Marionette J and Full Metal Panic?
  10. Meh... VF-19 Kai. The stupid thing looks like someone broke Ultraman and a VF-19 into pieces and played mix-and-match.
  11. Meh... I've always been a fan of war stories, and this one was too good to pass up.
