Definitely like the OAV more. Reason? YF 19. The movie version cut a big chunk of YF 19 scenes off. It appeared once, Isamu trashed it. Then it appears for like 5 minutes before the movie end.

I want some homage to Macross Plus...

I see the islander, Sara, spotted a new look with brunette hair, perfect curls, lipstick, while her sister, Mao, inexplicably became a green hair half-Zentradi.

I thought it was pretty clever the way they reused some backgrounds and the footages in this episode, I'm not being sarcastic. Boosted their production value by a mile, while saving the cost for new action scene... Although the fight with that cat thing was pretty bad.

... Macross 7 ... Don't hit me. Me loved 7.

Oh man, I'm digging Infinity and Diamond Crevasse so much. Do You Remember Love, Information High, Holy Lonely Night, Try Again, Infinity and Diamond Crevasse... Thank you Macross.

Macross Plus and Macross Trash, I'd like to see the characters from these series having some major roles in the grand schemes of things. As they are now, they're just side stories (Well, actually they ARE side stories, aren't they?) But no Galactic Whales please.

I'm extremely disappointed with the lack of Cyber Formula in his website. This is Aquarion?

1. Good Story - a no brainer 2. Nice characters persona and design - yup 3. Epic battles/War - Please do 3.1. A serious look at battle and death, no singing poo in a red indestructible valk - I don't know, I kinda like the battle where Basara and Gamlin tag team. 4. Love triangle with resolution with no character dying - one word "Threesome" 5. I can deal with the music mystic as long as it doesn't go over the top like Zero - Not so much mystical, but I can deal with telekinesis, ESP. 5.1. Avoid one of Zero's main flaws, an episode ends with a cliffhanger and in the next episode it's completely solved with a few words and not explain thoroughly

Probably about Macross 18 fleet on the trail of Macross 7 fleet that lost contact with the Earth, with a rumored child of Basara, and fighting some galactic giant singing whales or something.

To be honest, Hikaru had a very good chance of a position only few men ever dream of, polygamy. The little wuss screwed up.

One of them has a very good memorable collection of song, the other one has a screeching, torturing "It's my turn to be the star" looping over and over and over.

Good god people, why are you so fixed on 2hrs movie? Just use DYRL plus 30-45 mins of material from TV series so the plot make sense. Just bite the bullet and make it a 3 hrs movie, make it epic like Titanic or Kong.

I have resorted to watching Super Robot Taisen cutscene on youtube... Now it sounds kinda pathetic when I typed it down.

Macross 7 would have been golden if it's got trimmed down to 20 something episode, ditch Planet Dance and put in more Holy Lonely Night.

<--- Because I didn't know better, I bought that set, the HK bootleg. I thought it's a pretty good deal, but the subtitle is absolutely terrible, but you can still follow the story, so it didn't matter much to me. But heck, don't buy it, support the real deal.

First time poster, been lurking for a while. Just like to add a thing or two. I considered the whole Macross thing, be it SDF-Macross, Macross Plus, Macross 7, Macross Zero, as strictly non-magical. I like to think of all the singers, spared Sharon Apple, as people with ESP, telekinesis, etc..., with their power coming from genetic engineering. That's all.
