AND roy fokker running away from battle pods? PLUS Does'nt he remind you of somebody from a show known as Centurions? You know the ones where thos guys shout "power extreme" to become the ultimate man-machine combo. Who was that bad guy's name that resembes him? is this another one of those american cartoons paying homage to macross?

from what squadron is that vf-0 on the background: IIRC roy's vf is marked 301 right and designated as skull one, so i was wondering whats the designation on that one?

I just saw a macross 7 dynamite dvd here in the philippines, but there is something weird about it. in its cover there is a drawing similar to this: but the wierd thing is instead of the basara's VF and mylene being on top in the DVD i saw, it was either a picture of Isamu in the yf-19 or the vf-11, similar to this two (sorry i could'nt remeber which one exactly): I Also opened the case and the DVD itself had the same drawing that i described above, plastered to it. my question is: does this mean that the DVD has macross plus (movie version or OVA) as a bonus or what? Also are there Macross DVD's out there that feature macross plus the movie or OVA as a bonus? Take not though that since i'm in the philippines it could be a pirated copy, the store that sells it though is a legitimate anime hobby shop with gundam models, anime books/comics and other related material. that reminds me, why is it that that the yf-21 always end up with a ripped out part. Ex. 1 = entire right arm ripped out by isamu in batroid brawl. Ex. 2 = right hand ripped out in 2nd battroid brawl on earth. Is the yf-21 of cheap contruction or what? not bashing here, just curios. and to be fare the yf-19 did have its head laser taken out by a PPBS punch by the yf-21. thanks for the welcome, ewilen. Anyway, why is the vf-0 supposed to be bigger then the Vf-1, is it beacuse of the non-thermonuclear engines that the vf-0 uses?

I was just curious though, why is the pin point barrier system featured in macross sdf, plus and 7 different from one another. I mean in sdf the pbs is some kind of white sphere that moves all around the SDF-1. But in plus the pbs on the yf-19 and yf-21 are semitransparent or tranparent as if they were shields made out of thin air. Remeber guld when he balled the vf-21's fist and isamu when he lost his gunpod? Then in macross 7 its back to the SDF type PBS but in mecha scale. Whats up with that? In addition, what the heck does IMO and IMHO mean? i only know IIRC, which stand for If I Recall Correctly.

The TV series and Plus(I think) did that frequently. It's called ye ol' anime magic. It's good to see that even in Zero, with all it's technical advances, it is still employed. Oh yeah regarding macross plus, i always did wonder where the hell did isamu hide that gunpod during the "battroid brawl". all i could se from my suck ass copy of macross plus was that he pulled the gunpod from underneath the shield. but if u think about it, its not even possible beacuse the shield is already crowded with spare ammo clips. And another thing, in the last part of plus, where isamu and guld does another batrroid brawl this time on earth, did you notice that as guld's yf-21 was lying on the ground after a double fisted punch by the isamu's yf-19 he magically pull out a gunpod from out of nowhere.

Also found another one guys, this time in episode 5, when shin locates the Anti-UN submarine using the vf-0's FLIR like unit or something, it is surrunded by what seems to be surface ships as he focuses his camera on the ship WTF!!!!! IIRC submarines dont have escorts, they operate alone right? And i also never heard of surface ships escorting a submarine into battle. Will provide pictures of what i'm talking about when i have the time.

very impressive pics!!!! especially the digitally edited one. Is it just me or does the vf-1 look a lot bigger than the vf-0, especially the arms and shoulders. Question: is'nt the vf-0 supposed to be a lot bigger than the vf-1? bit of a here.

@AlphaHX: was wondering whats ur OS? Relly missed the classic media player reminds me of the days when i watched pron on win98 using that player . Anyway Do you have any idea if the classic player is still in win XP Pro or home? thanks!!!!

I hope no one has noticed this yet The following were taken from vol.4 of macross zero: sorry about the bad quality pics, just bear with me (the ) for now Set 1: Set 2: In set 1, these are scenes where DD tells Roy that he has imrpoved and that as his instructor he is very proud of him or something to that effect. As you can see there is no gun pod on the VF-0S. But, in set 2, which happens a few seconds after this sequence, the VF-0s is clearly seen carrying a gunpod . IIRC this happened right after DD riddles with bullets the skull squadron logo on Roy's VF-0s. My question would be is that a boo-boo by the animators or what?

Hi guys, just was browsing to the net about macross stuff and encountered this in on of the sites: http://www.absoluteanime.com/robotech/fokker.htm apparently according to his stats roy focker is 7'1" tall!!! isnt that as tall as SHAQ? Anyway i could'nt even imagine somebody that tall ebing stuffed into a valk. tallest i remembered to fit in valk was guld goa bowman, who on the compendium is listed at 6'7". BTW, what i really wanted to ask is: IS this for real or is it just a clerical error?

What assault rifles are standard issue to UN spacy personel in Macross Zero. I'm alittle bit confused because shin and edgar in Volume 2 or 3 are using what looks suspiciously like Israeli Tavors. But in Volume 3 the female marine (forgot her name) as the helicopter airlifts them from the mayan island was given what appears to be a the french FAMAS assault rifle. So which is it? which is the standard issue assault rifle? Also did anyone notice that as shin and edgar are dunked into the water, Roy is actually catching his gunpod in the background, which he apparently threw into the air as he was about to grab shin's VF-0D's gun pod arm and dunked him in the water. use super slow mo!!!!!! to see it!!!!

I totally agree. Speaking of the age of the fighter, does'nt the "top gun" school in miramar use a-4 skyhawks and f-5s as agressor planes vs. modern fighters like the f-14? :-)
