  1. The 1/72 Armored Valks are really good. The armored pack units have locking systems like the toys that allows for tight fighter mode, and they come with a stand However, still fragile as they are models. If you buy any of the Bandai 1/72's, the Armored would be at the top of the list behind the VF-27. Just avoid the Super packs like the plague.
  2. Just got back from Japan and am going to put these on my workbench shortly Who would've guessed you could find a yf-25 Prophecy in 2012 for only 4350 yen at a resale shop in Akihabara (O_o) Funny thing is it even had the original receipt from famima.com inside the box which stated it costed the original owner 6120.... At Laox, there were 7-8 VF-25S armored at 5400 yen each.... wish I could've taken them all home but alas damn box takes up too much space

    DX VF-25G

there are 14 others in stock at different stores on amazon for the same price. It runs up to around 205-ish dollars at current exchange rate. Maybe one ships international. Bandai really screwed the pooch on this one. I could not find a single VF-25 renewal anywhere in Akihabara, Tokyo... the freaking toy-mecca of Japan. I spent 2 days looking!! All I could find was freaking VF 171's at retail prices....the horrors!

    DX VF-25G

Heads up Amazon.co.jp has a few VF-25G's and even Vf-171EX alto's left for near Retail (17,000 Yen vs 14,800 Yen) http://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/switch-language/product/B0087JD27E/ref=dp_change_lang?ie=UTF8&language=en_JP http://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/switch-language/product/B007EMQQTG/ref=dp_change_lang?ie=UTF8&language=en_JP I bought my VF-25G from them while I was in Japan and had it shipped to my GF's place for like 500 yen because I couldn't find the 25G for the life of me in Akihabara
  5. It looks like a discount version of the Morgan To be honest, I could care less about this new fictional craft. As always if they have the YF-23 I'm happy
  6. I work literally right across the street from where they hold this thing every year. If you want to come in for Macross you will probably be disappointed. If Macross is all you really are into I would only go if it's within driving distance.
  7. I'd write a full translation but am too lazy to This is just a fan petition for continuing the Macross 7 storyline for the 30th anniversary of Macross. They also include a sample plot about Basara getting invited to a music festival and ending up getting stuck in a trap. A lil more about the plot and then some about who would be doing the various parts of the Anime. Even mentions bringing back mikimoto-sensei into the mix again. At the bottom they ask Macross 7 fans to write in. SOoo.. if you're a huge M7 fan, go for it I guess... Not a new anime release...how sad
  8. I've always wanted to get this one, but I was leary of paying nearly 1.5x as much for the same valk with a few extra pieces when you could pay a little less and get one of the solid Armored pack valks that locks up beautifully in fighter mode
  9. Try to convince Eduard to make it. I've been so spoiled by their products I forgot what painting Photo Etch was like
  10. Instead of making that awful abomination they coulda made a VF-171 instead....

    VF-171

I'd Love to have this but it is way out of my reach cost and distribution wise. I hope a few years down the road Hase can get the license and make us some real 1/72 fixed scale 171s and 25s.
  12. Let's hope they added in some sort of locking like in the Armored and Vf-27 >_<
  13. if you can spend 2300 for the toy you can spend an extra 100-200 commissioning somebody to paint it up for you I guess
  14. I don't even care what people say. IF it's my lunch break I break out a small model kit and start trimming. Lunch break has been where I did most of my prep work for my models for the last 3 years O_O
  15. To be honest if there were an alternative fighter kit from the likes of Hasegawa I'd buy those since I only display the models in fighter mode. I swear one small move in the wrong direction and kaboom there goes a chunk of the decal. Just look at the official Macross Frontier Archive model book and look at how many of the display models have chipped decals O_o Also, if hase released a non-transforming kit you'd have beautiful VF-25's with better fighter-proportions and prolly a much cheaper price-tag
  16. I'm waiting on 2 1/72 VF-25G kits so that I can make some CF VF-25's (Though can you really call them Cannon Fodders since you see alto's 25F get blown up more than the brown 25's )
  17. I am going to pick up some more 25g's to customize into these. Seriously the only required change is using a regular gunpod, which i have a few from my RVF's
  18. You're out of luck. Nothing can really replace that part so you might consider permanently making it into fighter / gerwalk These models aren't really meant to be transformed a whole lot as the joints will get way too loose and the thing is very, very fragile
  19. I wish they'd do a wide release of the YF-25 in the future. Maybe in a different color scheme to boot, because I am a HUGE fan of 2-seaters. Heck, they should release the 25g in two seater config for ep 13-14!
  20. /me cries at unbuilt 1/48 resin valks in the closet
  21. I'll be getting these just for the gerwalk mode. they look great imho for that
  22. I'll be getting these just for the gerwalk mode. they look great imho for that
  23. I bet Bandai will release 1/72 Alto...yet again... but now with tornado pack
