  1. Follow his advice. Flory's is a godsend and totally worth the price. It felt almost dirty to use because it was so easy and the results were so much better.
  2. Mad respect on getting such a rare kit. I miss anything from the 90's. Maybe it's the nostalgia

Yeah AE shipped m 1a's and 1j today too. I honestly don't see any reason to get expedited shipping for any toy unless it's store policy like at HLJ for higher priced items.

AE just told me my 1J in my warehouse. TIme to ship 3x 1A's and 1x 1J
  5. I don't really see a reason to buy these over the CM's brave Gokins I already got. Brave Gokin quality was ace and I love the heavy diecast... too bad rest of CM's patlabor stuff sucked.
  6. The 4G no longer holds its rare or covetted status since the reissue. HLJ even had a bunch on sale for like 17000 yen a while back O_o

Awesome pics. Only one tiny critique, you forgot to extend the lense on the Hi-metal 1A
  8. I'm in for just one. The battroid and gerwalk modes look really blagh but that fighter mode..... sweetness
  9. You're best bet is to decant. I never got the right finish even using a jar of black to touch up a model painted with spray black. I'm too lazy to decant though so I just use tamiya acryl with the same brand thinner at a 1:1 dilution. It hasn't failed me yet and the acryls are so easy to clean. I just use rubbing alcohol
  10. Half of me is really exited about this but the other half of me worries about the price lol
  11. Ok so I've been transforming mine and I really really hate the VF-31 gerwalk leg joint for the A-stance. The deal killer is the ankles don't have enough twist to make the unit look like it's actually standing in A-stance so it looks awkward. I would have much preferred the same style of joint as the DX VF25's and even the upcoming DX VF-31 where the thighs are more static and the swivel is at the knee. It just looks so much better. I guess maybe it was impossible due to durability concerns?
  12. So I just built up my 31S. Gotta say glue is an absolute must. Tamiya Extra-Thin worked really well and will prevent a lot of rage when pieces of your 31 just keep popping...off...everywhere.
  13. Lol it's cheaper to get the on-sale VF-31J and Supers separate than it is to buy the bundle pack
  14. Actually that's not the case. The VF-171 EX alto came out way before the 171 CF and the Alto was perfect. the CF was just QC failures because either bandai or the factory they contracted to make the CF 171's was sketchy

Preordered mine so peacefully at Nippon-yasan. Also.. why has NY gotten so NSFW-ish lately?

NO rush to order the Milia. It's a tamashii web exclusive thank GOD. Hello Nippon-yasan again
  17. I'm actually happier to see Leon & Mina from Mac30 make a reappearance than I am about playing any of the Delta characters, probably because even though they only appeared in a game they were more developed than any of the chars from Mac Delta thus far

Pretty sure Tamashii Metal Build is NOT macross related. It's been like 100% gundam up to this point and just like Macross releases they've been quite a headache to acquire online. Because somebody at Bandai just wants to see the world burn, they open POs for Metal builds and DXes at the same time so often or not collectors are forced to choose to between a Metal Build or a DX / hi-metal. Trying for both usually results in cart-jacking.
  19. Trust me you would have been just as dissapointed with the stickers as they are even more transparent than the stickers O_o

    Bandai DX VF-31

Some people run website monitors that allow them to see real time changes to websites. If they happen to be online when a change is made they can check it and get an order in. Issue is 2-fold with Bandai Preorders as always. On one side Bandai doesn't have high preorder numbers to start with. The second issue is many online shops are pay-later preorders so Scalpers have nothing to lose by nabbing preorders and then trying to flip them on YHJ or Amazon.co.jp
  21. I guess they went for ostrich-y colors fastpacks on that exclusive? 20 bucks would be a generous price for these pieces of doodoo. I think I paid 25 for the VF-1A like 10 years ago and it fell apart with broken polycaps very quickly. 54.99 seems like a crazy price to pay :0
  22. That clear-cockpit option is sweet

Believe it or not the regult was everywhere for weeks because Japanese collectors apparently don't have the time, money or space to army build.

Keep your preorder. Mainstream stores will sell out of this pretty fast and by feb you're only going to find it in the 2nd-hand or collector shops in Akiba and they'll be marked up for sure. Only the shelf warmers stay around for long
  25. With the wave pricing model you could probably pick up a bandai Hi-metal for about the same price, no joke
