It's good for people who want to use DYRL packs non skull squadron valks because they want the option of the non Canon Strike variants such as the Strike VF-1D from the 80's model art. Also for people who lack Tv packs because they got screwed by NY like me who never got my 3 tv packs Just gotta sacrifice one set of badges on your strike packs because yamatos stickers are slightly see thru so you'll need to erase the old badge with some thinner.

It works if you are patient and wait for the molotow to fully cure before applying acrylic tamiya clear. There is a very slight dulling but you still end up with a very metallic color. I learned it from my friend that does the technique for all his tail lights on 1/24 model cars. I'm going to apply molotow tomorrow when I get home from work and then apply the clear a day later and will document the results in this thread

Dangit now I need to paint my wingtips. It's time for some Molotow chrome markers followed by tamiya clear blue/red and then some gloss varnish

A big plus of that hase YF-21 is no bent head laser out of the box 😁

Saw this pop up just now. nice to see it finally coming out

The tabs work pretty well on my copy so my arms stay in place really well in fighter. I stole an unused gunpod off one of my armored valks and it helps the arms stay aligned a little better when their on the new tabs to boot.

The 'Hey look at this really cool model build I saw' post

That's just unreal -
Man I really hope this sold well because after wooshing mine around the house for a day I now want an Elintseeker. Also still waiting for the rest of DYRL skull squadron and a DYRL Roy and Max 1S

My mind is blown the VT-1 comes with a spare Fuel Boom for the Fastpacks but the YF-21 doesn't come with a spare head laser 🤣 Also holy crap Anime Export sent via DHL came within 1 day

It's so funny they casually say to do this because in Japan many convenience stores still have this service while in the West it's a pain in the but to goto a place that still offers photocopier service like fedex kinkos

Funny enough when I was about to buy your TV Hikaru I found out I had already bought it lol. It's a great sculpt It was really nice that the helmet wasn't merged because it let me carefully add in the pop down visor separately. I'll def grab the milia later when I get to my M&M builds. These definitely look way better than the official hasegawa tv pilots that you can only obtain from gerwalk kits. Later on I will try and scale them up to 1/48 and see how they work in the dx' es and 1/48 Hase VF-1's

I bought the highly detailed stl from https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/art/1-72-dyrl-hikaru-pilot-cockpit and then modified the head in blender so that the visor was down and faceless. he also has tv style hikaru / roy and even TV milia, though each are the same price so I only started with one purchase. Considering before I was paying 10-15 bucks per hase weapon pack for 2 pilots this was a better option for me as I can make them as cheaply as 3 cents if I do plates of 32

It just blows my mind that I can literally download highly detailed DYRL pilots in 1/72 for all the hasegawas VF-1's I have that lack pilots. To the naked eye they look amazing. 3d printing at home is so nice. also not having to assemble the official and very janky plastic pilots is a huge plus

It looks like a great alternative for people who don't have the space nor funds to acquire aftermarket DX 1/48's. I feel like in that video he didn't bring the arms up anough in fighter mode because that gap between the shoulders and head was way too big. My only real criticism of that VF-1J is I don't like how pure white it is and would prefer a more white/grey like Bandai's DX.

Catching up on this thread, really excited for the Moderoid Ride Armors. Moderoid kits have been absolute fire lately. I've gotten their entire patlabor line as well as the Megazone 23 garland, Orguss Orgoroid and two Aestavalis kits and have liked every single one of them. Their quality about the same as Kotobukiya but they also use a softer plastic which is super easy to clean with a sharp knife. I hope the scale is something standard like 1/12

OOOh Finally. Python will be an instabuy and I guess I'll need to get some brockens. The python looks like it might be a simpler kit much like the three utility labors (bulldog / hercules / Boxer) so I hope it's bundled as a pair or maybe with something else simple. Really hope they get the Phantom and Saturn too

Metal Robot Hazel (Deployment colors) came in. Sure it's just a recolor of what we already got but cool nonetheless

Most of us won't notice the tiny stabilizers on the back of the legs because 90% of the battroids will never leave their sprues sitting in our piles of shame
-
Every moderoid has come with spare clear parts up until now for customizing so you should still be good with the standard kit and repainting

ooh boy what a fingerprint magnet that's gonna be
