  1. I know how Bandai proceeds to make the Gundam models and I think the process is similar to Macross VF1. The first design phase is done on the computer with a 3D modeling, then the prototypes are printed with 3D printers and only at the end they create the molds for mass production. In the mass production phase, the mistakes in the canopy shape or the position of the seat probably will not fix because it would be too expensive to do, but I think the direction of printing in a collectible toy that costs around $200 MUST be fixed. Then my personal decision is not to buy other VF1 DX because I would take them only if they were really perfect. There are many VF1 models (Arcadia/Yamato, Hi Metal R, KitzConcept, Hasegawa and other), I think Bandai could make the perfect VF1, they came very close to do it but they didn't do it.
  2. I bought Hykaru VF-1S DYRL and I'm waiting for it to arrive but shipments are very slow due to the coronavirus. If Bandai does not fix these problems with printings and/or canopy and seat I think I will not buy other VF1, eventually I'll buy only missile set and DYRL strike parts. I have 12 Yamato 1/60 V2 VF-1 and they are very good to display (I fixed the head position of the VF-1S in fighter mode), I'll buy other Bandai DX only if they are near to be perfect!
  3. I totally agree with you because I think when they draw the shape of the canopy, the position of the seat or the direction of the prints they take drawings or other things for reference and in this case it seems obvious to me that these are mistakes that they could have been avoidable easly.
  4. Hi guys, yesterday I watched very carefully Macross dyrl and tv series to check the accuracy of tampo printing, canopy shape and position of the seat. In the attached pics you can see what I mean... Why did Bandai make these mistakes? Why? These are things they could easily do perfectly! So... Why??? SDF DYRL
  5. Another point I don't like in the shape of the canopy... very different from the line art...
  6. Hi guys, I'm waiting for my first VF-1S dx to arrive and meanwhile I'm studying the images and I saw two things that I don't like very much and I wonder why they made them that way... As you can see in the images that I have attached, the seat is too advanced compared to the cockpit. In the Yamato VF-1 1/48 probably due to the closed front landing gear it was necessary to move the seat forward but in the Bandai DX as in the yamato 1/60 version I think there were no real construction problems and it seems a stylistic choice. The other point in my opinion is a mistake. the prints on the fuselage are reversed. At the end, in my opinion The Bandai DX VF-1 could be DEFINITIVE VF-1! I really like the proportions, the transformation, the articulation, the visors and laser cannon of the heads, the hands with the moving fingers... and much more
  7. Thank you guys! Too bad, it could be an interesting feature
  8. Hi guys, can anyone tell me if the cockpit of Bandai DX VF-1 can be detached like in the Yamato/Arcadia 1/60 VF-1 (see attached pic)? I searched but found no information about it...
  9. I have no idea, they only speak about other surfaces. We often do laundry and wash our hands very often... We had the same problem few days ago, some people assaulted supermarkets like in a zombie apocalypse movie! So... the infections increased!
  10. It's true, but too many hands touch the boxes, not only on the plane also ground staff and couriers also in Italy and here the infection still grows too quickly. I live in a country that still has few cases but neighboring countries has several cases and deaths. Yesterday in Bergamo died as many people usually die in 3 years.
  11. I know, my wife works in the hospital, but now we clean and sterilize home and everything we bring home
  12. Someone say it is safe, others say no, in doubt I prefer to clean the box! No panic, only prevention
  13. Yes, now It's a global pandemic... and t's very strange how can change all your life in a few days, I hope other states react quickly Anyway I don't want to sadden anyone, everything is still ok here and today I cleaned my VF-1 1/60 collection from dust
  14. Oh Yeah! I'm UP! And meanwhile I'm waiting for the arrival of my new VF-1S :P
  15. No problem! I'll disinfect the box The situation in Italy is very difficult, I live near Verona, one of the most affected areas, we have to stay at home all the day, we can only go out to buy food because the risk of contagion is very high. My wife works in the hospital and these are very difficult moments for all the medical staff
