Double post but VIP just released ep 15, w00t!

Haven't watched a lot of Central Anime subs but they seem fairly accurate. VIP relaes made me very happy but it seems they have stopped. =(

It was a fun episode, a lot like some generic high school drama anime but still fun. I don't see anything wrong with animation, it's a different style but nothing like Aquarion ep 18, Samaurai 7 ep 7 or Gurren Lagann ep 4.

This eposide got some great LOL moments! After all the action the slower pace feels a little dissapointing but the show is actually going for great characterization. Ranka's messed up past, Alto and his kabuki problem, and Sheryl the bitchy idol that actually has a sweet fun side. They seemed kind of cliched at first but they work so well together on this ep. Can't wait for the next!

Just finished watching the RAW. It was pretty good, I agree not as good as DE version. I think this is the case of can't watch only one version, both of them have something to offer. Hopefully on the DVD release we'll get a definite version that combines DE with this new one.

I've been mechagasming all over the net and forgot to come to Macross World, lol. Both the Op and Ed are a little weak but still nice. Anyway, can't wait for the raw.

I watched all 3 DVDs of Aquarion last night. I was literally mechagasming! ^o^ Funi did an excellent job with the presantation and good afford with the dub; I can even skip the trailers at the start of the DVD, w00t! Dubbing super robot shows is never easy (I think the best one has to be Godannar). Little changes here and there, they toned down the female screams at "merging." Good enough for the cassual viewer but I'll stick to subs for repeated views. From the little I saw of the subs they seem to be very accurate and keep the NENSHIN GATTAI and attacks in Japanese, awesome. If there's anything to complain about, they misspelled Shoji Kawamori's name once on the Op, one of the four times his name appears. Also Funi menu's are always so static, they need a little more animation. The extras are awesome and we get a little pic at Lego Aquarion. So people, go get Aquarion now! It's cheap and awesome! It was made so the plot could move in such a short time. Someone had to betray and I glad it was her and not Sirius. And she's obviously not the same person as in the series but I think her development in the OVA was good, she connects everything at the end.

I was going to vote Voltron but after watching some GoLion, that show was already pretty bad. So my vote goes for all time favorite Robotech.

Personally I don't see how those meaningless deaths are bad directing at all. Yes, they might be for the survivors to develop but I still preffer this take than having Kira Yamato show up and save the day with his perfection.

Not really since Crisis Core is actually in real time so there's a lot more of action.

Well, that's the whole point. War kills them before they even get a chance to do anything. =)

It's more like the M7 movie, that is like an extra tv episode. It focuses more on the crazy hippy moments with some great LOL moments. I really hope FUNI will also get this movie along with the OVA.

That's an amazing deal. It's less than $10 per DVD! Funny Duke Togo, for some of my friends the first 20 episodes were extremely boring and it only got good after episode 26 or so.
