As far as VF-1 toys go I think it's about time to ease up on them and start making other VFs. I still want an Fz-109F to customize.

Gundam doesn't have the same mecha designers for all series. Okawara is supposed to do supervision, like Tomino is supposed to do supervision of every Gundam story. AU series surely seem to recicle the same designs unlike UC designs which all have something different from each other. Anyway, I think Izubuchi is the best mecha designer after Kawamori, while I despise Katoki and, to a certain extent, even Nagano style. FV Well how was Kawamori's decision not to do a lot of Macross series self-defeating?

For a second I thought it was Elly from Xenogears, with the long orange hair in the first pic.

How so, it's kept it from becoming stale quickly like Gundam? I'm sure Kawamori still has some good mech designs in his head, but I don't think anyone can say the same for Okawara.

What was the situation on Earth before the Macross crashed? Was there some big war already going on or did that whole mess only start after the crash?

Hmm I had the opposite happen on me when it went kaput last year. Wouldn't play PS1 games but had no trouble with DVDs and PS2 games. Hope the PS3 has a longer life span...

actually no. macross 7 is equivilent to turn A gundam. G gundam is the gundam version of macross 2, along with X, Wing and Seed, where the parent company made a sequel without bringing in the original creator. No I meant like G Gundam in terms of how over the top it is.

Ah just confuesed the names it happens... Point is Macross 7 is like the Macross version of G Gundam.

I'd be happy if he just did his own variations on Mobile Suits like the way Hajime Katoki does. I'd love to see his version of a Zeta Plus.

Yeah Kawamori did go the other way with Macross 7 but to me it seems like he went the way Tomino went when he made G Gundam. In terms of just over the top stuff 7 has to be the G Gundam of Macross. Since Kawamori's a fan of Kuberic I want to see a Kuberic-esque series. Or at least a commander who's the spitting image of R. Lee Ermy.

Can't forget Providence, that thing was butt-ugly...

Ok before this starts emulating the HG and Macross II threads I'll say this, neither a mobile suit or a VF is worth sh!t if the pilot sucks, or they find themselfs in a Macross or Lohengren cannon blast.
