Ace Combat 3 takes place in the future on the Usea continent. Two coporations (New Works and General Resource), some government agency the UPEO (Universal Peace Enforcement Organization), and a terrorist group (Ouroburos) are fighting over an experimental fighter, it's pilot and an AI system. Ace Combat 2 is also on Usea and involves a war on the whole continent, though I don't know if it involves any other part of the world. While the national leaders were away at a confrence a rebel group took over. I'm sure you'll recognize the rebel capital, St. Ark, and one of their main powerplants located at Faith Park. I'm guessing this civil war could be "the war 15 years ago" mentioned in the demo's opening. Though they don't really have any refferences to each other aside from the names of the cities. I AC3 there's no mention of the huge battle over St. Ark at the end of AC2. Nor is there any mention of AC2 in AC4, hell I think the only time they even tell you the continent's name is in 4.

Is this happening at the same time as AC5's storyline is? What planes do you get in arcade mode?

That's possible, but OSEA and Yuketobania weren't part of ISAF. Though until they give us a timeline, I'm guessing the war 15 years ago they mention might be the USEA war. They might have had some defensive alliance in case the ISAF lost and Erusea decided to invade someone else.

Disarm Free Erusea... Operation Katina sounds like it takes place shortly after the end of the war. Since this war takes place on a diffrent continent, I wonder if the Usea war was raging at around the same time. It'll be nice hearing refernces to AC4, like have one of your wingmen say something like "Ha with moves like that you could take Mobius 1". Hey, isn't Kei Nagase on of the Ridge Racer girls?

I was hopeing for some kind of dialogue with from Yellow 13, not nessesarily him talking poo to you, but more like something between two duelists. And after you nail him have him saying something congratualtory and how you were a wothy opponent. I also wanted to see a little cut scene with you and 13 after you take out his squad. There's also another glitch with the Tango line level, when they're in the ground the Harriers only take one missile to kill, but once they get off the ground they become your regular 2. One of the things I'm hoping for in 5 is that none of the levels are Ace Combat 2 re-makes.

What was so bad about Whiskey Corridor? I was able to rack up so much money in that level...

I wonder if any of the Alliance guys will get the idea equipping a nuclear missile with either a mirage colroid or phase shift. Imagine the possibilities of invisible nuclear missiles. Do Lowe and Gai still have their Astrays in Destiny?

Yeah, the way your wingmates talk to you made me think of the way the 08th Team first treated Shiro. Is there an actual plot to the arcade mode, or is just a kind of extra with stuff that didn't make it into the final AC4 version?

Ehh? Ok now I'm confused... So in Storymode, you're leading Wardog squad, and in Arcade you're Mobius 1 again? Or are you just an ISAF pilot.

During the end of WWII the Japanese acutaly was exprimenting with a gunblade to replace swords. It had a blade attached to the top of an automatic pistol, it was a lot like the sword Cervantes holds in his left hand in Soul Calibur.

I wonder if they're still going to have the F-15ACTIVE I haven't seen any screens of them... I guess would be a reasonalbe assumption to say they're still in since 2, 3, and 4 had them.

You mean like "Legacy"? You'll be happy to know that in the final Xbox version, you can set the left stick to Turn/Move, and the right stick to strafe/look. Never played Legacy, and having the Xbox version do that doesn't affect me one bit since I only have a PS2, though I'm sure the final PS2 version will have that ability too. Either way, I'm starting to get used to it, so it's not so much a big deal any more.

So far all the Destiny suits I've seen look like crap, all the people look like people from the previous series. I the words of the Horse from Ren and Stimpy, "No, sir I don't like it." Hell so far the only incentive I have to seeing it, is that I want to know what the deal with the masked guy is. I'm also looking forward to seeing what the Alliance has and to what the later Gundams look like but if it's Okawara behind those suits then I'm not going to put too much faith in them not looking like crap. So far the only Okawara SEED MS unit I don't put in the crap category is the Calamity.

Well it beats sitting around for ten minutes for another round to start when you get killed like in SOCOM.

That MA even has the shark eyes that Mwu had on his... MAHQ has the Calamity Gundam listed under the Alliance units in their DESTINY section, wonder what that could mean...

Not only that, I've heard that having a chip in can screw with your ability to go online.

Which is why I hardly ever use my computer for games, just not worth the hassle...

I'm still amazed that some people still have functioning launch models. Mine went kaput after about a year.

I'd love to see a flight stick based on the DYRL VF-1 stick and throttle.
