Shin, I have the same Zeta legioss. I found that the index finger can be bent upwards a little bit so it goes right into the trigger. If you curl the rest of the fingers around the grip then the gun stays pretty well. Its not perfect but I don't have many roblems with the gun dropping off

Overdrive now offering replacement parts for Yamato

I lost the pitot tube for my VF-0S. I'm not looking for a spare. I just need a replacement part. Would overdrive help me with this? Dave -
Just completed playing around with my 1/60 VF-1J. Its nice. I like the proportions. My biggest gripe was the shoulder ball joints though. The ball joints were incredibly tight making it nerve wracking to pose the arms. Funnily enough the folding plastic hinge to which the shoulder is attached [the one that needs to be rotated] is a bit loose and doesn't lock in place very well even when you rotate it past the lip on the backplate and into its groove. The hip swing bar clip is a pain to lock and unlock as well and I was having difficulty getting the nosecone and cockpit section to lock into place when transforming from battroid to fighter until I realised that the whole section needs to be slid out a few mm. Overall its probably aesthetically the best representation of a VF-1 toy I've ever owned but the shoulder and hip joints just give me the heeby jeebies and I still feel my 1/48 is a more solid and safe transformation. The super pack attachment on the 1/60 is awesome though. The boosters sit really securely with the new clip attachment and the super battroid doesn't feel too back heavy at all.

Shin, I've thought about getting this toy so i thought I'd get some info on it. What exactly do you mean by the problem with the spring loaded feet? Do they unintentionally deploy in jet-mode or do they refuse to stay extended in robot-mode? Also, what and where is the automorph? A friend of mine said this toy doesn't have an automorph. Anyway, tnx in advance for info you can provide Are you sure about the Archeville figure? I'm still not convinced since it doesn't appear anywhere on the box.

The cool thing about Roy is he's still a capable pilot when drunk!!! ala DYRL

I'd guess shockwave, cosmos and arcee are the most likely to end up in classics 2.0 purely because they look G1. All I want is classics 'streaker and 'swipe and a voyager class Galvatron to keep in scale with classics voyager magnus. PLEASE PLEASE hasbro do galvatron in proper anime colours.

My 2 cents 1. Very good summer blockbuster movie. Mainstream and entertaining 2. Too much involvement of human's....especially the army guys. MINI SPOILER The ending 20 min of the movie should have been more of a bot on bot killing fiesta rather than the little insects getting involved END SPOILER 3. The prime-megs battle was weak. I agree with the previous posters who described it as choppy, anti-climactic and hard to follow. A stand up straight and bash each other to kingdom come along with I'm-about-to-die-but-I'm-taking-you-with-me king-hit at the end would have been much appreciated (a la the G1 animated battle) 4. Nostalgia ramped up the movie from good to very good for me but I suppose thats what nostalgia is meant to do

With regards to the dreamwave book. i have'nt read it but I'm assuming they used the bio stats from the GI boxes. In 85 they made a major stuff up and switched starscream and skywarp's stats.

Do these replacement parts include the pitot tube? If they do then is it possible to get just a pitot tube. If so, I'm in.....I'm in sydney BTW Dave

It is packaged in robot mode....thats the incredible thing. The customs idiots opened the box, looked at the robot staring them in the face and then seized it presumably because of the gun picture on the box
-
Tnx for the sympathies dude. It was unmodified. I don't know what their position is about yellow caps. As I said I was completely unaware that there would be a problem with australian customs in the first place.

I live in New south wales, Australia and my MP-05 got seized by customs. I'm in deep s*** now becuase its been classified as a replica pistol. I was wondering if anyone else in australia has had this problem becuase I was under the impression that we didn't have similar toy gun laws to the US. If I want to contest the seizure I need a permit for importing replica guns (which don't get given to lay-people usually) or I need to go to court. If I lose in court I have to pay the crowns legal fees which are about three times the cost of the toy. To make life even sh*ttier I was warned that all my imports would now be inspected so I can't even try to pick up anothert MP-05

Well put. I agree

Good point

Sorry, I'm a bit clueless about this but does "detented" mean that it is a ratcheting joint or a friction joint Thanks

I know why they killed off most of the 84/85 toy line but even if they were'nt intentionally trying to break the mold of american cartoon/movie fare (at that time) they certainly unintentionally ended up doing just that. I can't remember an american cartoon movie from my childhood that had such a dark tone or so much death. Tho the reasons were purely commercial I feel now that the end product took me somewhat seriously as a kid becuase it showed me so much death and thats what i still like about it today Also, tho I didn't see the movie in the theatres I did watch it on VHS before I saw season 3 so I was quite shocked and it was a heaps big deal for me at the time.
-
I agree. It certainly made the movie special and a bit more memorable. I remember I was in tears when I watched it as a kid but I thought even back then that it gave the moive a sort of epic feel. It was quite a ballsy move on Hasbro's part.

Just got classics skywarp today and my god is he cool!!! This is actually the first seeker that I've bought from the classics line and I'm impressed at how good the robot mode is. Great colours, blocky like the cartoon and good articulation. I love how the wings are high up on his back in robot mode and don't seem too big like the robot masters starscream. I actualy think the classics robot mode looks more accurate to the cartoon then the masterpiece mold. The classics mold also shows how the tails fins and tailwings can fold up flush against the calves without ruining the appearance fo the legs. Why couldn't something like this have been tried on masterpiece screamer instead of those detachable tailbooms? Admittedly the fighter mode suffers because of the kibble but my only two real complaints that could have been addressed with this toy are 1 . the guns are way too big and look silly 2. if skywarp's boobs folded upwards into the intake thingys the fighter mode would look much better from front on. As it is the boobs hang a fair way down in fighter mode and no one likes droopy boobs!

Hey, did anyone who watched the first robotmasters fan sub that black valk posted notice that starscream is actually shown attacking in gerwalk form. Other than one drawing in the new transformers comic by IDW I never knew than any other images of screamer as a gerwalk existed
-
Try this for good trasnformers spoofs. BTW - that he-man stuff was MASSIVE http://youtube.com/watch?v=ZWYOQoui6Ks All the transformers spoofs by DRSMOOV are pretty cool but the thing that really makes them great are how accurate the voices are

The fact that the box packaging omits meg's legs and that at all the toy festivals he's posed with the legs in the outward-canted A stance (to make them appear bulkier) kinda shows that Takara itself feels shy about Meg's skinny legs. My beef with the head is that the part on top is a little too high and the bits around his cheeks don't slope outward enough. I also reckon the gun barrel behind his shoulder stands up a bit too high. All these are just my fanboys nitpicks tho. The fact that he's in scale with MP prime means I'll buy this come what may The only things that I'm seriously concerned about are whether his fingers are individually jointed. I can't tell from the pics posted. I'm also worried that he may slant to the right under the weight of the scope on his arm or if (as someone mentioned earlier) that arm will loosen over time.

Hey guys, Thanks so much for the input. That's exactly the type of info I needed. Just one more question If I spray one side first while laying the gun down on newspaper......then let that side dry and flip it around to spray the other side...wont there be a tiny bit right on the top and bottom seams of the gun that may not get properly covered or might come out splotchy? Is there anything I can do to reduce this? Also, Guppy, mate I'm in Sydney too....Can you recommend any places to buy spray paint from and a good brand for this type of work. I dunno if the Krylon Fusion as recommended by Jardaan is available here? Thanks heaps for all your help guys
