    As odd as the design is I think I would get a VF-11MAXL. Delta wings ftw. But that would mean I would have to get the 19 Kai as well..

    Good call. I like the blue better in these shots, and the overall sculpt is smoother. From what I could decipher from the translation it seems this is a painted plastic prototype, whereas the other shots were of a painted resin prototype. Anyway I'm loving how sleek it looks, I still wish the head lasers were grey though. I'm loving that sticker sheet too. They included the schematic drawings from the Master File and the Emerald Force logo as well, pretty sweet. Looks like the F is coming next year. Can't wait. No mention of the P though..

    True, but what I meant was that the YF-29 was new to the movie and served as an upgrade for the main character. The promotion for the movie also centred heavily on the YF-29. The VF-171 wasn't really anything special, even when Alto flew it. In other words it's likely more people would want a YF-29 than 171. It's basically the same route they took with the 00 movie and the Qan[T]. Hero gets a fancy new mecha for the movie which is promoted heavily to build hype for the toys (gunpla) as well as the movie itself. Notice they never released a model of that special flag Setsuna piloted, even though it was a hero version.

    I disagree. The YF-29 was pretty much a given. New super powerful mecha for the lead character of a new movie for a popular franchise? How could they NOT make it? I would say the VF-27 is more of an example of anything being possible, then again it's pretty much a VF-25 variant.

    I will never say no to a new Valkyrie mold (unless it's from Mac 2 ) plus I just finished watching Dynamite 7 so my interest in the VF-5000G is piqued. That being said I'm not sure if I would actually buy one. Maybe if it was cheaper than the recent Yamato valks. Like 15000 yen or less. I would rather a VF-4 or VF-9 tho lol Edit: Just did some research and saw some pics of a model of the VF-5000. There really are a lot of variants of this bad boy. Also it looks pretty awesome IRL. I would get one.

    I figure the F can tide me over for a few years until they remake the YF-19. Anyone planning on doing any customs? Or at the very least doing some weathering/panel lining? I think having a figure that belongs to a pilot you know or like does add a little something to the value of the toy. But design definitely trumps that. Plus with a grunt mecha you can add your own backstory to it, makes it a bit more personal.

    I think he's referring to a "New Macross" class carrier as opposed to a "new" Macross Quarter.

    Damn that's actually tempting me to pre-order. And I NEVER pre-order. For those that have gotten Bandai Valks before, what are the stickers like? Do they even come with stickers?

    A guy named Docker (did we ever get a first name for him?). He was in Diamond force with Gamlin then he went into a spiritia coma. A little while after Basara revived everyone he was assigned to the newly formed Emerald Force and given a shiny VF-19S.

    Not really, should be an easy fix. If I'm gonna nitpick I do wish the head lasers were a bit more gray, the white makes them look unfinished.

    I'm impatient so I did a very quick and very crappy mockup of what the 19F might look like.

    It should. The prototype had the neck piece. Keep in mind these pics are also missing the gunpod so they probably just didn't bother to show it. Can anyone confirm if this is a painted prototype? It looks like it cuz of how pronounced the details are but just wondering.

    Covering up that awesome skull logo is criminal. Alto's armored pack looks better imo
