Apparently Yamato wasn't kidding about "focusing on Battroid mode" since the consensus seems to be that the joints are perfect for that mode. Shame Gerwalk had to suffer.

Not sure if this is the right thread to ask this in but what's the deal with Macross 7th Code (Chord?). Are there any collected editions like for Macross The First or was it only available in Macross Ace?

I liked Gamlin and all but I could never really get over the fact that he had a thing for 14 year old girls. Plus he was pretty whiny about Basara in the beginning. But other than that he's a pretty good character and he did grow a lot over the course of the series. Definitely protagonist material.

Word Well I did watch your reviews but I don't think I subscribed. I'll go do that now. Not quite the same thing since there are a lot of differences in the sculpt, whereas on the -25 basically only the head is different. That being said I would still like to see a video review of the VF-25S as well lol

Well pics are great and all. But there's something about seeing new toys in motion that gives you a better sense of how they look overall, so video reviews are always appreciated. And it might be very similar to the Kai but there are enough differences in the sculpt and paint job to make watching a video review worth it for me. Hint hint

Well the Hi Metal gets around the problem by having the nose point slightly up in Battroid mode. It's not that great of a compromise imo. But I'm sure the YF-19 v2 will have less of a gap

Yup that's definitely it. Thanks a lot. I really wish this track had been in one of the OSTs I actually found this weird too. But it makes sense if you keep in mind that the series and movie verses are pretty different. Although this detail might be the same in both universes, and was just never touched upon in the series. I found it pretty surprising that SMS was an international (or would it be inter-colonial?) organization. My theory is that Bilrer founded it while on earth and it continued to grow and expand. Does anyone know if any of the supplementary materials shed any light on this? I'd have to watch the movie again before I can give my thoughts. But I agree that this resolution was a much better one than in the series. Although I'm not sure how exactly it worked. I guess the benign V-type organisms in Ranka's blood "taught" the one's in Sheryl's blood how to do their job without killing her?

See for me the Quarter passed the realm of believably when it stowed the deck on it's back like a shield way back in the series. That just came off as hokey to me. The surfing sequence, on the other hand, was awesome. Partly because it was so unexpected and partly because Wilder is such a badass.

I like the added ending but the movie works either way so I can see why some would prefer it without. I guess I was impressed by it because I wasn't expecting it. Having watched the older version of DYRL a long time ago it was a nice surprise.
