  1. Both are excellent "Tony being Tony" movies. I like this one because of how it takes him out of his element, and somehow he's MORE Tony than ever lol. I know the whole movie he was thinking "If only Cap could see me now!"
  2. Wow David, I thought I was the only one that felt a Mass Effect vibe. What really got me was his rifle, the whole time I was thinking "that's totally an M-97 Viper."
  3. 370 USD for 1/60 v2 1J Max Super. Part panic buy, part celebrating first paycheck since graduating
  4. TV fight. Probably the most epic scene in the series. And one of the few that really impressed me (animation wise) during a recent rewatch. Heck, it's the reason I would even consider (and actively desire) a TV Max 1A.
  5. ...both of which you haven't seen? How are you recommending them?
  6. Thought the movie is great and really enjoy what they did with Tony's character arc. But I know a lot of people will be upset that he did not spend that much time in the suit. Also interesting how after Iron Man 2's SHIELD overload that there's almost no mention of them and no cameos from the rest of the MCU, glad they went that route. Saw it at a midnight screening after working almost up until 12 and was in the front near the corner so definitely gonna see it again (would have anyway) to get a better experience. I'm even MORE excited for Cap 2 now than I was before I saw this.
  7. Can't wait to see what he does by the time they get around to Tron 3.
  8. For me I really only collect mecha, and it has to be from a series (or franchise) that I know and love, or the design really has to blow me away. I just really like the admiring the designs of the mecha that I like, and having a physical 3D replica of it is the best way to do so in my eyes. So like others have said, it has to be a fairly accurate representation of the in-universe design. For transforming toys that extends to all three modes. Yamato's Macross toys excel at this. I also collect some Gundams, my criteria for those is that I have to like the design, and the model has to be able to look anime accurate with minimum painting or touch-up work. It also has to be sturdy because it's really hard to enjoy a mecha design when pieces are constantly falling off or the figure is toppling over. That's the reason I stick with MGs and RGs and why I haven't gotten some of the designs I really like but that have design elements I know would make for a frustrating model. I'm looking to get one of the Hot Toys Iron Man figures sometime soon, as I'm now in a place where I can afford them. Probably the Mk VII as that's my favourite suit so far but I'll decide after watching IM3. Edit: I really, really want an Oblivion Bubble Ship toy/model at some point.
  9. Just got back from this. Awesome film. The visuals are really what set this apart. I haven't been this impressed by a sci-fi flick since District 9. Soooo, when doesn the Hot Toys Bubble Ship come out?
  10. Pretty sure he just meant he thinks it's ugly
  11. I'd rather a Blue Supernova scheme tbh. But yea a YF-19 v3 in any scheme is gonna be hard to pass up
  12. My God. Well, MacrossJunkie, it's pretty safe to say you've outdone yourself. So many amazing customs lately
  13. Nice work on the FB2012 customs guys! Quick question: are the leading edges of the canards v-stabs supposed to be blue like on the VFX version?
  14. Lmao exactly Anyway I'm not saying HLJ made the right call in this instance, I just don't see the need to start boycotting them. For those that feel cheated, a simple email explaining the issue they have with the 10 item limit and requesting that HLJ rethink such high limits for high demand-low supply products in the future should be enough. It's not like HLJ is purposefully dicking it's customers around, at least there's no evidence to support that conclusion.
  15. I'm pretty sure HLJ is just pro making money. Unlike Bandai it seems.
  16. No letter designation that we know of, but the alternate name for "Cannon Fodder" variants is "Mass Production"
  17. The more I see the 1/60 VF-4G battroid mode the more I like it. Still amazed that Yamato was able to pull it off so that it not only doesn't look horrible, but actually does the lineart justice. Can't wait to see what they do with the VF-9
  18. I've asked about this before and would definitely be wiling to pay for a set or two, so count me in.
  19. Ahh okay, that quote and the scratchbuild linked earlier in the thread have made it a little clearer. I agree that battroid mode isn't great, but I love the VF-9's fighter mode. Brings to mind a variable version of the fan racer. Gerwalk is also one of my favourites. Battroid and Gerwalk do look better in the lineart though.
  20. I second the M3 licencing. Need that VF-9, especially after seeing what Yamato has done with the VF-4
