They're obviously meeting about how to overcome the difficulties he had with translating the VF-9 design into a 3D model. ...

Yea I just watched it again, didn't realize it was the same chick. I was thinking of the last shot of the OP since she's right next to the MK II, my bad- 971 replies

Gundam Build Fighters/Build Fighters Try
Raptor One replied to VF-15 Banshee's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
So is that a love triangle I smell brewing between Reiji, Sei and Sazaki? Poor Sazaki doesn't stand a chance. Edit: Second episode was awesome! Love how tongue-in-cheek this show is. When the old guy showed up and explained how gunpla battling works I fully expected China to be like "but I knew all that already." But her "uh, who the hell is this guy?" reaction was just as funny. And Sei's reaction at the end was PERFECT. Reiji's techniques are pretty cool. Like the move he pulled with the beam saber during the second half of the battle. Definitely gonna be following this series til the end. Reminds me of a modern take on G Gundam. But what's with all the 00 hate in this thread? Speaking of 00, I'd definitely use Exia as a base for my build fighter Looks like- 971 replies

VF-0D seems likely to me as well. Probably the most logical new mold to come next Yea, I've had this happen too many times already lol. ...So what are the chances of a 19ACTIVE after this?

All this 1/60 VF-9 talk... some day
-
Nice. Just completed my first ever preorder
-
Ok this is going to sound like the ultimate nitpick, but it seems to me like the wings aren't swept forward as much as they should be. Am I way off base? Either way this will probably be the first of any kind of collectible that I preorder. Been waiting for this bird since I saw the ad for the 1/72 YF-19 in an anime magazine back in the day.

Yup, my one nitpick.

The Wolverine FILMS (X-Men Universe)
Raptor One replied to antibiotictab's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Was pleasantly surprised by this movie. Actually kind of wish I hadn't heard the good reviews for it as my expectations would have been even lower and I would have been even MORE pleasantly surprised. But this actually managed to get me excited both for future Wolverine solo movies and for Days of Future Past, both of which I was kind of wary about before hand. Wolverine is not a fan of single women haha -
KAJHBAKJDSKJDBAWBUWDKJBB!!!! OMFG!!!!!! I literally spazzed out and ran around my room when I saw that battroid mode pic! This is the YF-19 I've always wanted!! I don't know if it's possible for something to be higher than an instabuy, but this has definitely surpassed it.

Will buy the Iron Man 3 BluRay just for this one-shot (I happened to like the movie too so that's a plus). More Peggy's always good. Was happy to hear she would be in the film in flashbacks. Would have been really disappointed otherwise. Bracing myself for the inevitable Steve visiting Peggy in the nursing home scene. Manly tears may be shed.

Guillermo Del Toro’s ‘Pacific Rim'
Raptor One replied to fifbeat's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Lol, I just assumed they meant some other kind of analog. As for the sword thing I figured it was a new addition that he forgot about because he wasn't used to it on the old Gipsy Danger and she forgot about cuz she was caught up in her first battle.- 1206 replies

As long as the only non-perfect transformation aspect is the high speed mode then that's fine. If they sacrifice perfect transformation of the regular modes just to get the high-speed mode then that would be annoying.

I laughed way too hard at this

1/60 VF-9!!!!!!!!!! Honourable mentions: VT-1 Reissue (very likely anyway) 1/60 VF-0D Variable Glaug
-
Ironically the YF-21 and VF-22 are a LOT closer to identical than the YF-19 and VF-19. I think Kawamori didn't change the numbering since -*9 is the unofficial forward swept wing number, plus -19 sounds a lot cooler than -20 imo.
-
Speaking of -19s with swept-back wings: what are the cances of a VF-19ACTIVE after this one?
-
But the SMS version isn't a YF-19 though, is it?
-
OH GOD YESSSS!!!!!!! Saw the thread title and was worried this was another Minmay Guard situation but I'm SO GLAD to know it's legit! The YF-19 is the valk I've wanted for the longest, but none of the other versions ever seemed to fully do it justice, been waiting on a new style YF-19 ever since I first saw the molds for the 1/60 VF-19 Kai. Only things I hope they improve are things that will help improve the Gerwalk mode. Like giving the thigh joint an extra click so that it can bend a full 90 degrees and fixing the ankles so they have a full range of motion forwards and backwards, hopefully they go back to a ratchet joint instead of a ball. Other than that, I'm ridiculously excited. This might be the first toy I EVER preorder. Now i'm wondering if I should still try to find a VF-19F in the interim.
-
Man, I would buy the f out of a VF-9 regardless of cost. Okay that's a slight exaggeration, but only slight. For all the people who felt a VF-4 was the holy grail of Macross toys, a VF-9 would be that for me. Back to this valk though that paint sheme without the logos actually looks nice. Reminds me of some of the Master File schemes, just a little more colorful.

Lmao I logged on to the forum to get more info about this release and immediately noticed the new thread title, proceeded to LOL.
