    So on the CG model the pod can be stored in battroid mode unlike on the YF-30. Hopefully that's the case with the toy as well

    I suppose. But not everyone knows that. I was gonna mention the whole "There is no true Macross canon" argument but figured that might just confuse the issue.

    While that is true, he's right that one should be cautious. They could easily take selective elements of the game as canonical wile disavowing certain parts of the storyline. Hopeful they let it stay canon though. Most likely there will never be explicit confirmation so the best approach is to just accept it as canon until something happens in a main series that contradicts it.

    This is true but the VF-19Kai comes to mind. Was that EVER shown resting on it's gear? It was pretty much always stored in Battroid mode, but it still had gears. I just don't see a aviation enthusiast like Kawamori suddenly designing a valk without landing gear.

    No need to assume, since she spends the entire pre-battle sequence chilling in Delta 03 and that's the valk she swan dives out of before doing her transformation

    Not seeing it. Don't get me wrong, he's clearly being depicted as being uncommonly skilled. But there are tons of other Macross characters who could have done the same thing. Also, this is how many dozen generations removed from the original destroids? You're assuming the machine doesn't have the capability for that level of acrobatics but there's no reason to assume that. It's far more likely that no one else bothers to put it to that kind of use. You're telling me rookie Max from SDFM couldn't have hopped into that machine and pulled even more impressive moves? I dunno, I just don't see this huge gap in skill you're talking about. It's a fun scene meant to show that Hayate's a better mecha operator than a regular dock worker would be expected to be, and to help justify or foreshadow his inevitable ability to get into a Valkyrie and not be completely useless.

    Neither really. The preview special that aired on new years eve is available online through various sources. It's labelled Mission 0.89 and according to Kawamori it covers about 350 of 420* storyboards from the first episode. *can't remember exact numbers and too lazy to check

    Maybe it's not a hologram at all. Maybe they use fold quartz as a targeting mechanism to fold the performance outfits directly onto the girls while swapping the flight suit out. Kinda like how folding was originally portrayed as swapping the space within the radius of the fold effect with the space at the destination. Later on in the series we'll probably see super parts folded directly onto the Valkyries. Just like in The Centurions. POWER EXTREME!!!
