  1. AMAZING Dobber! Looking so good. I wished they had those markings for the GX-64... it really does look like a toy next to this "real" model.
  2. Must be the final production since its bare with only the most minimum of tampo markings. I guess they decided to grace us with the intake warning on this one?! - argh!
  3. Hey since when did anyone mod a F-5 to have twin tails?!
  4. Beautiful! I can't believe how small that thing is until you have the Tamiya paint bottle beside it. Great job.
  5. Don't be holding our breath... I keep seeing the wooden deck colour everywhere now, which leads me to thinking that maybe I should paint that portion of the toy too. Haven't decided about putting on the photo-etched handrails or not as I never see them in any reference, but it would give the toy some scale. Maybe I might get around to it during the Christmas Holidays, but I haven't had a chance to touch it since I got it initially.
  6. So sorry to see that happen Saburo! Yeah, mine is really tight there too. But pretty loose at the shoulder ball joints. Glad there's a plan of fix. Let us know how it goes, good luck!
  7. Wow! I love this grey scheme. Now I know what all the fuss is about, its the first time I'm tempted to want more than one of anything. If it goes on sale for cheap (I mean MSRP then it will be hard to resist. I can't believe how much better it looks in just greys. ... swoosh!
  8. Woohoo!!!! Finally got my VF-25S to complete my collection. Man, I didn't realize how dark this thing is - all the pictures show it much lighter. Hey, does this re-issue of the renewal have the 30th Anniversary sticker? Mine didn't come with one on the box, is it supposed to? Also the nose cone seems to have a gap only on the port side and no matter how I push it in, it doesn't close up completely. Not as tight as the VF-25A which all lines up perfectly, but still nice! Best colour scheme though!!! So excited, can't wait to dress it up in the Armours.
  9. I stand corrected, well that's better. However, my old VF-0 didn't have the droopy neck when it was sitting on the landing gears too, the front gears pushed up the forward fuselage to close up the gap. But as soon as you pick it up, it was there!
  10. Great box art, BUT even that great shot has the neck gap - I have yet to see a single photo of this without the neck gap (if the neck is shown) - this doesn't bode well.
  11. Yep, it saves us Canadians a lot of customs & duties that way! However, mine is held up in Customs, the status says "Rentention Period" after Customs - what does that mean? Its been there for 2 days. In fact its been in Canada for 4 days! Argh, hate our post office and government here!
  12. Feel exactly the same way! However I already pre-ordered (despite the YF-19) ;( If this has the floppy neck syndrome, then its my last Arcadia... fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice... well, you get the idea.
  13. I loved the movie! Yes, its Hollywood, the producers want to see the actual actors in it - its why they get the big bucks, you don't want to hide all that star power encased within a suit that can be any stunt double or worst yet, completely CGI. It's also supposed to take place in the immediate future, if you look at the DARPA suits, its pretty close as far as research goes. Director wanted a gritty wartime reality, a improved cobbled together technology in a rush to counter the aliens - he was very adamant he didn't want anything sci-fi and unbelievable. I get to work with the same production designer again on my new movie now (yay!)
  14. Without NY, I wouldn't have ANY of my renewals... I'm just glad they're around
  15. Really?! Where are there 3rd Party decals for the YF-19?!! They just aren't even available so its not an option.
  16. That gap on the back hump which is where the floppy broken neck syndrome on the older VF-0 has me worried, its been in every one of the photos of this toy so far!
  17. Can anyone please tweet this desire to include waterslide decals to Mr. K please? I for one was SOOOO disappointed that waterslide decals were not included with the YF-19, please don't make that mistake again with the VF-0D. In order to make it up to us, Arcadia should include the missing set with the VF-0D as an apology
  18. I thought the same, however on the last shipment they actually paid more than I paid for shipping... but mostly it works out in their favour have to admit I think its an estimate and they usually estimate high to cover themselves.
  19. Hey that partner would be me! I hate puttying and sanding smooth all the seams, sanding is soooo tedious for me. Often I don't do enough of it and have to pay the price later once I start painting. I love painting though, that's when the whole thing takes shape and I can start to shade and weather it. I love decals too, I love the whole last half because I can then see the light at the end of the tunnel. Yes, exactly what Chas said, I'd do the same too.
  20. Wow! That looks great, wonderful save! I didn't think it was savable... so how did you restore it? Is the key getting the future underneath the decal?
