  1. Where is NY's placeholder? argh...
  2. Thanks! See you all here in 3.5hrs - good luck
  3. So is it 2am or 3am EST tonight?
  4. Hey, isn't it 0300 EST to be 1600 in Japan? So for us in EST is it 2am or 3am?
  5. Congrats Derex! How is it compared to the Fine Molds version? The black part being attached to the grey would suck if you're going to paint it (which most "real" modelers would) - is it geared towards Gunplay type of building (which drove me nuts on the Macross Frontier models). Why is there two version of Darth Vader, one and a mini me - did Bandai get the scale right of the cockpit?

    Hi-Metal R

Hopefully it could make Arcadia wake and realize they could tampo a few more markings on there other than the UN Kite
  7. Great setup! Very clean. Looks like you only have 2 more places left to go You're lucky the misses lets your hobby invade such a public part of the house, I've got mine confined to my workroom ONLY..
  8. I'm sure I'm in the minority here, but I love these proportions. For me the aircraft mode is the the most important and its just sleeker, but this thinner design is really selling me on the Battroid now and just looks so much more updated without loosing the original intent (IMHO). I always thought the original design was a bit dated and 80s and the Arcadia one just catered too much to the Battroid mode at the expense of the Fighter mode - it looked too fat, dumpy and squat for my personal taste. Now with all the extra tampo data stenciling and markings is just icing on the cake for me! With over $100 cheaper than the Arcadia, its a no brainer now... if I can only just get in on a pre-order. Of course I plan to stay up Tuesday morning, but my track record has been pretty unsuccessful so far.
  9. Sure not looking forward to another night staying up...
  10. My nose is a bit crooked to one side even when I push it in all the way, is there a fix for that? I can't really see why, but one side is nice and tight and the other side has a gap that I can't close up.
  11. AMAZING Dobber! Looking so good. I wished they had those markings for the GX-64... it really does look like a toy next to this "real" model.
  12. Must be the final production since its bare with only the most minimum of tampo markings. I guess they decided to grace us with the intake warning on this one?! - argh!
  13. Hey since when did anyone mod a F-5 to have twin tails?!
  14. Beautiful! I can't believe how small that thing is until you have the Tamiya paint bottle beside it. Great job.
  15. Don't be holding our breath... I keep seeing the wooden deck colour everywhere now, which leads me to thinking that maybe I should paint that portion of the toy too. Haven't decided about putting on the photo-etched handrails or not as I never see them in any reference, but it would give the toy some scale. Maybe I might get around to it during the Christmas Holidays, but I haven't had a chance to touch it since I got it initially.
  16. So sorry to see that happen Saburo! Yeah, mine is really tight there too. But pretty loose at the shoulder ball joints. Glad there's a plan of fix. Let us know how it goes, good luck!
  17. Wow! I love this grey scheme. Now I know what all the fuss is about, its the first time I'm tempted to want more than one of anything. If it goes on sale for cheap (I mean MSRP then it will be hard to resist. I can't believe how much better it looks in just greys. ... swoosh!
  18. Woohoo!!!! Finally got my VF-25S to complete my collection. Man, I didn't realize how dark this thing is - all the pictures show it much lighter. Hey, does this re-issue of the renewal have the 30th Anniversary sticker? Mine didn't come with one on the box, is it supposed to? Also the nose cone seems to have a gap only on the port side and no matter how I push it in, it doesn't close up completely. Not as tight as the VF-25A which all lines up perfectly, but still nice! Best colour scheme though!!! So excited, can't wait to dress it up in the Armours.
  19. I stand corrected, well that's better. However, my old VF-0 didn't have the droopy neck when it was sitting on the landing gears too, the front gears pushed up the forward fuselage to close up the gap. But as soon as you pick it up, it was there!
  20. Great box art, BUT even that great shot has the neck gap - I have yet to see a single photo of this without the neck gap (if the neck is shown) - this doesn't bode well.
