    Bandai DX VF-31

I don't think anyone wants Arcadia to go away (competition is always good - the more people making Macross toys the better!) - I just want them to step up their game and add more tampo details and come down a little in price. Nothing like sky high exorbitant prices on a blank toy - argh. I don't mind paying more for more, not more for less.
  2. THANKS!!! Pleasantly surprised with Will Smith's performance. Always knew Margot Robbie & Viola Davis would be good. Always hated big amorphous CGI thingies - that's when you want something spectacular but doesn't know what it should look like and it turns out looking like nothing. As for the disjointed nature and editing problems, its because of the Studio Execs not having enough confidence in the director and trying to change his vision after the fact... http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/suicide-squads-secret-drama-rushed-916693

    Bandai DX VF-31

Hey, I love Chuck's VF-31E - sucker for the Radome (really hope its included right from the outset - don't see why not, the VF-25G included it) and the orange/grey scheme is my favourite colour combo. So lets just make thousands and only have the four of us here on these boards buy it - maybe I can sleep that night instead of the PO madness. I hope it will come out before the end though - I can't wait that long. Of course I haven't really been watching the series, so I don't really know how Chuck does - just looking at his plane from a purely aesthetic point of view. Can't seem to get into it with all the really young silly girly stuff going on yet.

Thanks! Oh well, I'll stick with HLJ on this one, a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush!

    Bandai DX VF-31

Wow! 16mins later and HLJ is still up... Just got my confirmation e-mail, does that mean I'm safe or could they still send out "We're sorry" e-mails all the way up to December?

    Bandai DX VF-31

Wow, AmiAmi just went from Coming Soon to Sold Out - but I think I got one from HLJ (thanks to your links) - I got the Thank You, just awaiting the conifrmation. Never found anything on NY yet though (I guess I'll have to pay customs on this bad boy!). Thanks all for the excitement (NOT!) - thanks for the links, now back to sleep (its 3am here).

No place holder at NY yet? Damn, I hope to get one there to save on customs here in Canada. Good luck to all... 6mins to go!
  9. Nice Saburo! Love that design, so jealous of your very clear canopy.

Wow that looks great! So excited for this, although not really getting into the actual animation itself. Just weary that I keep seeing that foggy/frosted canopy in every shot including the promo stuff - I thought it was just a early prototype when I saw the same thing for the VF-30 pictures until I got my toy with the same foggy/frosted canopy (the only detraction from an otherwise great toy). I just don't get why some people have the clear canopy for that toy.

Looking forward to the toy, but definitely not to the late-night pre-order madness that's sure to follow. Any idea how popular these things are in Japan? Are they as or more popular than Frontier?
  12. I believe its a 2kit box, so I'm guessing its the re-issued molds but there are two planes so $30/plane isn't bad, especially when its the Hasegawa F-14 - which is considered the definitive 1/72 kit (the later recessed panel version) - albeit a bit tougher to put together. However the newer FineMolds 1/72 F-14B may have dethroned this kit, but it was never a general release, only a special magazine release item. I have the Hasegawa F-14B and it is amazing for a 1/72 kit (I have the FineMolds too and its seems even better, but that's 20yrs of molding technology later!).
  13. Definitely Bandai (without the pre-order madness). Not Arcadia, I've had a sense of being ripped off every time I've bought something from them recently, exorbitant prices and no markings are the big turn offs for me with this company now.
  14. Yes, I'm catching the bug too with all my Es sitting in my stash... not saying I can actually make any time for it, but its awfully tempting..
  15. I think its just a shot of the 3D Model - the canopy reflections and shadows seem too clean/perfect.
  16. Hmm, at first I was estatic - 1/72 scale too, I love that scale (although I'm getting a bit old for it now). Then the 6,800Y price hit... and now I'm cautious. If its a great sculpt then I might bite, otherwise I'll have to wait for Hasegawa (would have been my first choice if I had my wish).
  17. I can't believe I missed this Hasegawa issue - I didn't think it was a limited release thing, but now HLJ says its discontinued - argh!
  18. I wish it was the VF-0S - I'd bite if it was that...

Yep, Me three!!! Those Bandai transforming kits almost turned me off modelling all together, you really have to be a sadist to complete one of those (and I did two of them!!!)

Ok, I'll throw my 2 cents here... One of each E, F, J (so I can display them in each of the modes - but I guess E will have to be in aircraft mode) Definitely A because I love the sweep back wings and the more military colours. So I guess 4 for me.
