Roy Focker replied to Dante74's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Besides visiting macross world. I use the lap top to watch online video and work on big files text docs with a lot of pics. I want something that can handle a lot of stuff at once. -

The computer and electronics super geek thread

Here's my issue. I got a loose power connection jack on my lap top. The result is me having to wiggle the connected power cord till I get a power going. Repair involves talking the entire thing apart to get to the problem and soldering the jack back in place. From my understanding a simple repair but time consuming (in labor cost) to get to the part. Computer is 3-4 years old. Already replaced the power cord ($110), Screen is showing wear ($100 future expense), Power Connection Jack Repair ( $20 if I do it myself). When I bought this thing it was considered a new and current computer. Maybe 30% of what was out there was better than it. A quick look like a best buy I see that my lap top is about equal to the cheapest ones they have in performance and etc. Not going to invest lots of money into this one. I will use it till it dies. I didn't plan on spending more money either. I hate to see my on going plans to get more Macross be hurdled by this. Well my Health Insurance might be premiums is going up. Maybe I'm screwed to be out Macross money anyways. Any recommendation about whats new and good lap top out there to get? I leaning to maybe getting one with a blu-ray player. -
Yes. Because making out leads to sex and sex is a sin. You know what isn't a sin? Purification by fire. I scream for Gasoline to be splashed on people making out so I set them free. Doesn't everybody else?

Why call it Rambo? Can't he just make this movie without calling it Rambo. And am I the only one that can't stand Ain't It Cool? The sites looks pretty shitty. The articles and reviews sounds like things stupid fans boy would say and that Harry guy ain't no looker.

A email news letter from over drive says that to.

I haven't been paying attention but I have feeling HG is just trying to get a cut of the profits. If this game is pretty far in production it will cost them too much to go back and edit everything HG is bitching about. I bet HG waited to do this later on purpose. Challenging HG in court would cost more money because of the delay it would cause. Only solution that doesn't greatly increase cost or delay the product would to give HG a share.

Variable Fighter Master File VF-1 Valkyrie Vol. 1

Master file must have went with that mistake then. -
That's right the Macross 13 was destroyed in VF-X2. Maybe this is different Macross 13? Got my first copy of this Macross Ace Mag today. Volume #2. Macross the First is pretty good. Now lets talk about the rest of the book... Macross Fan Service. You really get to compare the two Macross Universes in this book. Sure there is some Fan Service in Macross First. There is even some in DYRL & Macross TV. You should see some of the billboards in Macross City. All that stuff was either just short teasing, quick glimpses or hidden easter eggs. The Macross F comic in this mag are just so overt fan service. We got everyone in a hot spring bath. Alpo dressed like a girl in another. I haven't tried reading the comic but by pictures alone I see a narrative with Classic Macross. The Frontier stuff just seems like silly nonsense with Sherly, Ranka dressed in skimpy clothes and Alpo wearing a dress. Yay Macross F is the best Anime ever! A true heir to Macross Universe and all quality product.

No. But, if Mikimoto is ever involved in a new Macross project that involves a 5 seconds of introduction animation from the SW1. That "new-old" footage would look it was from an animated version of Macross the First that was even animated.

Must not be the Macross 13 from VF-X2. Kim would be about 70 years old.

Variable Fighter Master File VF-1 Valkyrie Vol. 1

I think the GU-11 now has a lower Sperm Count. Prior to the printing of these book sources listed the GU-11 has having 200 Rounds. Page #44 shows a picture of a VF-1 with all of its missiles and ammo out on display. Picture shows two Gun Pods & 360 Rounds of ammo. 180 for each gun. On page #53 they show the internal workings of the GU-11. See "01" I see 180. -

Does anyone care? The FF aren't really that exciting. Sure they have their fans but do most people outside of the comic fans even care about them? The Thing looks sorta interesting but the other characters just look pretty dull and their powers suck.- 97 replies

Two years go by with no activity what so ever. Then out of nowhere Doctor Conners shows up and declares he got a degree in genetics.

Did some shopping today. Bought this hard case for my new used PSP 3000 and then preorder this game from National Console Support. Paypal balance is looking pretty slim now.

It came! Actually I think it might have came 2 days ago. I have a small mall box and then there are these neighborhood bigger boxes. If you have a package the mailman leaves a key for the big box for you. For the last few days one of the boxes was in use but no one picked up their stuff. Today I get a key to that box. Well at least I got it. This is my 2nd v2 VF-1. The first being the VF-1D. I picked the "D" because it was a variant I never had. 2-seats new head. I already owned a VF-1A, VF-1J & VF-1S in 1/48th. The VF-1D was a new toy for me. Already having a 1/48 Mass Production Valkyrie I didn't really need a new V2 1/60 version of the same toy. Face it even with the TV style head and correct pilot suit it is the same toy. I really dig the Brown VF-1A. It is not a hero mecha. It doesn't stand out in the crowd it is the basic grunt (canon fodder) VF. When I'm running across the freeway with my VF-1A. I can imagine that I'm or anyone is the pilot. Can't do that with Roy's VF-1S or the Max Valks. Only played with it for 10 minutes. Compared to the VF-1D I see improved QC. No parts were stuck or stiff. Everything bends, pops, swivels and hooks with ease. I didn't have a even a tiny heart attack during transforming or play. Now to think about getting my next Valk.

How odd. I double checked that I had the right cable and TV. I did. Tried it again and it worked. I tried it several times last night and nothing. Now it works.

Well since PSP seemed to be the new domain of Macross games. I decided to get one. Found a good used 3000 edition that came with extra cables and games. The PSP works and all. I figured out how to transfer media files from my computer on it it. I just have two technical issues. TV Connection Assuming the guy didn't give me a defective cable. I connect the cable. Change the channel to right one. When I got to which from the PSP monitor to the TV I get at the most a split second of audio/video before my TV says Mode not supported. Wireless Connection I search for wireless connections with the PSP. It finds mine put it on the top of the list at 100% but won't let me use it cause 'Security is not supported' I guess I have to manually input my data. Crap I don't know my wireless Key! Figure that out. Input the data to the PSP. Tested connection and get "adjust your security settings" or something like that. I start googling. Guess I need to log in to my Router. I type the Router number I get the User & Password access point. I don't know it. I tried the default but that is not working. Why don't I know these passwords and wireless key you ask? I bought this lap top went to high speed a few years ago from Best Buy. Got my their Geek Squad guys to set things up at reduced cost special promotion thingy. They came over created my wireless network and gave my an invoice of everything they did. I don't think they even gave me all my pass words. Only thing I remember them telling that it was important was not to hit the reset button if I didn't want to lose all the work that they did. Why wasn't I smart enough to make sure I got all that information then? I'm not a totally nerd. Like most boobs I just know plug and play. Only when some thing doesn't work do I learn about things. Now I'm thinking if I can't access my router. Should I reset it and create a new network on my own so I can use the PSP. What if I screw up this process and can't get wireless at all. I know I can still use the computer through a cable connection but wireless is so important to me. I work early in the morning so I get to miss most prime time TV. I watch the previous nite's shows online in my bed room when I turning in. Computers cable connection is in the living room. If I lose my wireless I lose that wind down with some prime time tv time and I get very grumpy.

That's a down right deadly man cave. You could be toasting some toast in that toast oven and next thing you know someone punching that punching bag hits you in the back of the head. Worst a drunk gets on that bike and rides into you!

Variable Fighter Master File VF-1 Valkyrie Vol. 1
Roy Focker replied to sketchley's topic in Movies and TV Series
That Block Information help some. I was wondering why they listed Skull One as a Block 1 when the VF-1S wasn't produced till later. Now of course I wonder where is it included in the VF-1 totals. Is it the 31st VF-1S or still one of the 5093 VF1A? Kids book is about equal to my read comprehension in Japanese (and English ). -

How some translation about the VF-1 Squadron 2009 to 2014 Section. I think it is cool that they list the number of squadrons part ship or base but the numbers seem to low compared to the numbers of VF produced per block. For example I think they list 22 Squadrons for 2009. I think over 1300 VF-1 were made by that point. What happen to those more simple alphabet above the Kanji that you use to see? It was so more easier to translate them when give those hints. I have a kanji dictionary but these got those words in tiny font. I need this book in that SPECIAL BIG FONT for blind old folks.
