I think bad guys not selling well is a decades old myth. I'm going to assume that Japanese parents buy their kids toys the same way North American parents do with their kids. You buy them the most popular character (usually a good guy) and refuse to buy them a 2nd one because of the high price tag. Adult collectors have the interest and the to actual collect them all (including the bad guys). As to why they aren't fly off the shelves in Japan could it be that even Japanese collectors prefer to order online as well? I can visit my big box stores and comic book shops for domestic toy but often it is less of a hassle to just buy it online.

We all skipped the VF-1 because we all wanted get Regult first. If I couldn't get a Regult I would be stuck with another VF-1 in a different scale. I love the VF-1 but a collection needs to have some variety. Current prices for 2nd hand VF-1 are too high. I'm just going to wait for the next VF-1 preorder.

A related off topic post, I also take pictures of people that aren't in costume. I'll offer free pictures to local actors and models whenever I want to test out a technique or some piece of equipment I just bought. I'm proud when they decide to use what I considered to just be simple a test image for their online profile or even as their official photo on their talent agent's page. Today I saw one of these pictures reposted. I'm looking at a picture that I took and reading the text below that says he's dead. Possibly taken his own life. Only met the guy once a few months ago. Seemed like you and me. Never thought I would be seeing a picture I took being used to announce news like this. -
My Regult's was moved to some main post office in Japan 3 days ago and nothing new since.

How can food be afraid of being cut apart and eaten when it already went halfway through that process? Baby Carrots start off at regular carrots that are cut down to size. They already experienced some of this torture. Why is this new to them? I want some real world realism in my movies about talking food.

I did it! I just preordered the Monster from Ami-Ami. What a way to start collecting Macross Toys again. I have a preorder for the Glaug & Monster. My Regult is in the mail. Shame there's no at near original retail VF-1 available. What got my interest in this line was bad guy mecha to go along with hero mecha. I passed on getting a VF-1 because I wanted to make sure I had a Regult first. Now I have to the end of July to sell some of my older stuff.

Days after placing a pre-order for the Glaug the same store increased the price for new preorders. My invoice still list the lower price. When they ask for payment they better not change the price on me.

I don't think people paid that much attention to this line when it came out years ago. Give us enemy mecha and people start getting very interested.

Well I bought a Regult and pre-order a Glaug. Been a while since I bought some Macross Toys as the prices of Yamato/Arcadia just went up too high. This toy-line is actually offering villain mecha! How can I pass on that? I'll of course be forced now to pick up at least one good guy mecha. Is there a release date lineup for this line?

Tried to pick one off of ebay using the buy it now or best offer. They were only willing to knock off less than $3 off the price. I passed.
