The VF-1 performed in space for most of the TV series. Didn't the TV Brownie have Fast Packs in big battle against Bol-Dolza?

Macross Δ (Delta) - Mission 3 - READ 1st POST
Roy Focker replied to azrael's topic in Movies and TV Series
I've got a problem with Hayate. That "I don't feel alive unless I'm daring death" mental problem. He should have bailed out but instead he was willing to die in a crash. He shouldn't have jumped off the bridge but he had to ride the wind. Isamu Dyson had the same problem. When Dyson did it he was considered reckless. When Hayate does it everyone is impressed.- 238 replies

My order is still being processed and haven't got an extra charge yet. I pre-ordered after the deadline for the stands. Using SAL registered post.

I paid MSRP for my Yamatos. I do recall some of the VF-1 going on sale later on. By that point the clearance VF-1 were ones I already picked up at full price or ones I didn't find that interesting. Arcadia's mistake is that they are focusing on the Heroes. It normally makes sense to focus on the most popular characters but this is a re-re-re-released. Just about everyone already has this toy. If you want to charge a premium price you have to offer a premium.

In that case hurry up with the VF-1A. Got my order prep notice for me-type as well. This will be my first VF-1 from this line. I really do love my 1/60 collection. The current prices for new 1/60 with shipping is too high to justify getting. They aren't offering anything different. This HMR line small scale is keeping cost with shipping at reasonable levels and they are offering us something different. Offer me something that I want. That I can't get from someone else at a fair price and you win by default.

I know like why is the observation VF carrying a loaded paint gun? Why is everyone so excited for Hayate for getting one hit on Mirage? She killed him like a dozen times before he even touched her. If it was a real fight he would already been dead. Plus in order to win he had to switch modes.- 238 replies

It is like they're charging double extra for the same Malibu Stacy doll but not including her new hat.

Roy Focker replied to azrael's topic in Movies and TV Series
When you first saw the character designs for Delta you instantly knew based on their appearance who would be the goofy character, the shy character, the uptight character and etc. When we finally saw them in action everyone acted according to their type. Through the course of the series some characters will grow. Some of them will grow just to be dramatically killed off. There's still just so many characters that some of them will never be more than an anime stereotype. Which makes them tools to deliver the stereotypical anime antics. As in the case of episode 3 some characters were only present to give an anime style reaction to the anime style antics. I can't wait for the mid-series drift when they dive in to the deeper story and the tone of things change to actually have some substance. Crossing my fingers that this does happen.- 238 replies

I have a feeling every other new toy will be a VF-1 variant of some sort or another.
-
Its still too high when you consider it is an just the 20th re-re-re-re-release of an old toy. Usually over time the price of objects go down as they become more wide spread. Chances are 95% of people who would buy a VF-1S Me-type 1/60 already have one.

Roy Focker replied to azrael's topic in Movies and TV Series
Just watched it and I gave it a negative vote. It just felt like a bunch of stereotypically anime cutesy antics. Like they wrote it directly from the big book of anime cutesy antics. Everyone is still just anime stereotype. It is all so cookie cutter. Maybe if you combine the traits of the 3 lead characters you'll end up with 1 solid character. The traditional animation isn't blending that well with the CGI. I think this episode was 4 minutes plot and 16 minutes of filler.- 238 replies

The VF-1A would be easy for them to do. It just a new head. You have to create a entire new nose section and fast packs for the 2 seat types. The VF-1A is just a new head.
-
At those prices I'm officially done collecting the 1/60 line. I already have that VF-1S with those Fast packs. In addition to the price there is also shipping. The 1/60 are at premium prices only. Which makes releasing another Me-type so confusing. Most collectors willing to pay more for a toy have likely already purchased that toy during one of its previous re-releases. If you want to sell toys at premium prices offer the obscure variants and obscure mecha.

I love the Brownie too. For a canon fodder unit it still looks cool.

Is this double set? Don't know if I want or not. I want them in 1/60 for my 1/60 collection. I've got one HMR VF-1 coming my way just so I at least have one. Don't know if want to get any variants. Every VF-1 is essentially the same toy. I'm guessing this line will alternate between a new mecha and a VF-1 variant. At least we know we are getting a 2nd wave.

10 more days till Me type is suppose to be released according to my preorder. My single Regult is so lonely without any friends his own scale to play with.

That movie takes place in the 1980s. They only had dialup internet back then and it wasn't widely in use.
