Bryan Cranston! Yes invite him. He's done nothing since doing anime dubs and couple episodes of Seinfeld. -
My pay pal only had $19 in it after buying the Monster. Used the cheapest shipping option this time. Have to wait an extra couple weeks.

Macross Cosplay by Super Dimension Foto Patreon (New Set Sept 2019)
Roy Focker replied to Roy Focker's topic in Fan Works
Now Sharing 9th Set Preview Pictures (November Release) To view all the pictures please visit the Patreon Page by Clicking Here and consider being a supporter. All contributions collected through Patreon go directly to funding this project. Like A Mirage (Part 1 of 1) Oh Mirage you're the grand daughter of two of the greatest characters ever and everyone was impressed when we first saw you. Then the series slowly started to focus on you less and less. Resulting in you being reduced to a supporting character. We're giving Mirage another chance to shine (in cosplay form) before the series ends. These preview images are being shared early to time with the end of the series. In the next 2 weeks there will be 4 more preview images shared here. Our shoot with Mirage was very productive and it will be divided in two Photo Sets. With Mirage's reduced role in the series there wasn't that many classic Mirage poses or scenes to recreate. Instead we had fun improvising things. Majority of the photo shoots are quick simple affairs. For this shoot besides adding a new character/costume we also hired a professional full time traveling model and rented a studio with access to professional quality lighting. If you like to see more sets like this consider contributing to the Patreon.- 85 replies

Watched it all last week. Started very good. I really liked the premise and everything. Then at the half way point the series turned into a standard anime show. It didn't become a bad show it became a paint by numbers show. It was still a good series but it lost what could have made it great.

Walkure are singing in their underwear with holographic clothes. I guess that could work in a climate controlled space ship. Windermere on the other hand is an entire planet that seems to only have one season - Winter. How are they not freezing to death? -
I'm tired. Tell me if I understand correctly. The Super VF-1J Max I pre-ordered was a standard release. The Super VF-1J MIlia is an exclusive and going on sale in the wee hours Friday morning when I should still be asleep because I'm working that day?

Neutral Vote Stuff happens. There's story, action and good animation this time. This episode feels like proper build to a climax episode. The build up from the past 10 or episodes was pretty bad. If this episode 24 was the first episode you saw you'd be tempted to go back and watch the rest of the series. The pacing of the whole Mikumo plot wasn't handled that well. Can we just erase the last 10 episodes? -

Mikimoto character designs are good and so are Kawamori's mecha designs. I sure would like to see more of Kawamori's mecha designs. If only there was an anime series currently airing that features frequent use of Kawamori's mecha designs. -
What's the cost that $400 plus $150 shipping?

After reading that poll and seeing Mikimoto as a character designer on Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress I decided to watch a couple episodes. Already half way through the series. Now that is a good series. There's good animation, great character designs, there's a large cast of strong supporting characters but the main focus is on the leads. Plots introduce in one episode are carried over to the next. There's plenty of action, drama and character development. It is set on a train making a journey while being chased. Doesn't that sound familiar? It has been done a lot in anime. Macross does it often. That one ship or small fleet alone in space trying to escape restless enemies chasing them. That's where I thought the 2nd half of Delta was headed. They escape fish people planet with fish people refugees. Delta at this point could have featured them being chased by the Knights. Each episode features a different knight as the enemy of the week to be defeated by Delta team. Then towards the end instead of running they decide to turn around take the fight direct to Windermere. I guess that's what they did but instead of providing us more episodes of action and compelling drama. They gave us filler episodes where stuff sort of happened. That Iron Fortress show appears to be doing everything right. -

Wait there's character, style and music in Delta? Delta plays it pretty safe with those. It uses the standard stereotypes in the most bland and uninspired way possible. The music is adequate but it is performed by a group of young and cute girls. There's always fans for stuff like that. Those results are from readers of a magazine. What is Delta's impact beyond those readers? What do the critics think? What are its ratings? Have they been going up or down? -

You know what Carl Macek would do with Delta? He say there's not enough action and would splice in mecha battles from an unrelated series. -

All post Macross 2 series had issues but where they lacked in one area they made up for it in others. Delta strengths isn't that stellar to make up for its weaknesses. -

The animation in the last episode of Macross II was lacking and it suffers from not being official. In hindsight after watching Delta Macross Ii doesn't get enough credit. Sure it is retelling of dyrl but all sequels are essentially repeats of the same formula. -
They'll cost almost as much as catnip.

Hayate will pilot the VF-22 but only in fighter mode and will scissor hard with with Keith until one of them breaks a mighty wind. -

Almost forgot to watch it. Neutral vote. Stuff happens that's good. Animation is still lacking but I do like the background images. Maybe I played too much Metal Gear but it would have been cool if Walkure were doing a bunch of violent silent take downs. -

Speaking of Ace Combat. I'm reminded of (I believe) Ace Combat III. The one with the kid living in a town occupied by an enemy fighter squadron. Kid is the narrator of the game. The cut scenes have super limited animation. Might just be all still images. On the other hand the story within the cut scenes is engaging. A good story can make up for animation that is lacking. If there's good animation at least you can make up for a weak story by looking at the pretty pictures. -

An important thing to know is the making movies & television is a collaborate process. One person can seen as the mastermind with the guiding vision but more than one person is responsible for the success or failure. Kawamori is great at mechanical designs and has some good overall ideas. He wasn't the only one involved. I would say that his visions from Macross Zero and onward has been too visionary. That's not to say a good team couldn't make something good out of his visions. -

Hey I wasn't a fan of Frontier either but at least there were fewer poorly animated episodes. -

You'd think they'd ask for more money with the requests for more episodes. "We like what you did with those 13 episodes and your budget of 13 million. If we give you an extra 2 million can you make us 13 more episode?" Who agrees to that? -
But not selling out on the Monster, Glaug and mecha like them might mean they'll make less.
