It was a new untested company right? That's why I ordered through BBTS.

Saw it and is it safe to write about spoilers out in the open now? The movie isn't that bad but that doesn't mean it is good either. It is a mess. Doesn't feel that connected to episode 8 or even 7. I've been reading all the spoilers and web articles explaining all the things in the movie that confused people. Knowing the answers in advanced I avoided this confusion myself but in order to understand what's going in a movie you shouldn't had to read a comic book first, play video game first, read a novel first, watch a cartoon first, listen to a podcast first with a writer, etc. Secondary media is fine when you really want to know the origin story of a background character. Knowledge of secondary media shouldn't be a requirement for understanding the movies themselves. I didn't like The Last Jedi but at least it felt like a sequel to The Force Awakens. Rise of Skywalker didn't feel like sequel to either movie. Ignore your decades of nostalgia and this movie will suffer. I think you could take Episode VIII, IX and edit them together to make good movie.

After 25 days my Yellow has finally cleared customs. Seriously this has been a ridiculously long wait. I'm expecting the address label to have several typos or find signs that customs opened the box and broke things.

I got the same your order been moved to April email from NY. Which is complete bull shit. I was an early pre-order. A few weeks ago they even sent me an email saying here's the new release date for December. Why send us notices about a new December release date in the first place? Can I share a word about how most of these companies suck with the whole customer satisfaction thing? They all sell premium expensive collector items. You go to any other business that sales luxury goods and you leave satisfied with the service. They provide it because what they sell isn't cheap.

The Mandalorian - Star Wars webseries from Jon Favreau
Roy Focker replied to SMS007's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
How does Carl Weathers not know a Baby Yoda when he sees one? Carl is 71 years old. Going to assume his character is around the same age. He handles business for the Hunter's guild. This means likely to know a bit of about the galaxy works. The series takes place 9 year ABY. The prequels takes place 32-19 year BBY. Karl was 30 to 43 years old during this time when the Jedi weren't hunted. They were well known during the time. Yoda being on the Jedi Council would be a public figure. Any character who was an adult during the prequels should be able to see baby Yoda looks like the little green Jedi guy that fought in the clone wars.- 1438 replies

After reading some reviews and then looking up a few major spoilers - wow .... In a way I can't be too mad at JJ. The Last Jedi answered every question The Force Awakens gave us without giving any new ones. It was "the end." Making another sequel after would be hard for anybody.

Top Gun: Maverick (Top Gun 2 is comin)
Roy Focker replied to Ladic's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
In the original movie he was a Maverick because of his daddy issues. Through the course of the movie he grew as a person and was still became the hero. Top Gun was more of a character driven story than a look at these cool jet fighters. We watched and remember it for the cool jet fighters. This trailer looks more like what you expect from a Tom Cruise movie - look how great and cool his character is! Why after 30 years does he appear to be an even more daring and dangerous maverick? Maybe that's just the trailer. It just doesn't seem like they considered how this character might have grown and changed during the last 30 years. -
My Yellow has either been sitting in a Japanese or US airport for 8 days without moving.

The Mandalorian - Star Wars webseries from Jon Favreau

Another filler episode. It was good. It was predictable again from the very start. It used the same hall way set for 90% of the scenes.- 1438 replies

Both of my Stig and Ray seems free of breaks, cracks or stress marks. I only transformed them once to robot mode. Kept them in that mode for a couple weeks before transforming them back to bike mode. Where they've been kept in for several months now. Does bike mode put less stress on the part than it does robot mode does?

I'll have to check my Stig and Ray. Still waiting for Yellow. Might be a good idea to video record opening Yellows box in case it's already broke inside the box. Even if all our toys are broken. I don't want to pay extra to ship it back for replacements. These toys are expensive enough as it is.

Ditto. I've lost the will to face crowds and watch any movie over 90 minutes. Especially one that I'm not excited for. Not sure if I'll avoid watching spoiler reviews through.

The Mandalorian - Star Wars webseries from Jon Favreau
Roy Focker replied to SMS007's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Yeah I liked seeing that planet again and how things have changed ever so slightly since we last saw it. Now a really stupid question. The Mandalorian is on the run for betraying the Empire and the guild. Everywhere he goes with baby Yoda they follow. It is pretty clear the only save place left is to take baby Yoda to the Republic. Luke's not yet a hermit. They'll keep baby Yoda safe. I don't know if the Mandalorian has a bunch of unpaid parking tickets or something but I'm sure the Republic would over look it.- 1438 replies

This is episode 5 out of 8. When we get there we're not going to spend that much time. Formula of The Mandalorian is he arrives somewhere with baby Yoda. Teams up with the guest star of the week. They do a predictable side quest. They part and he leaves with baby Yoda for the next location to repeat the process.- 1438 replies

No Time To Die - Bond 25 and future movies
Roy Focker replied to sh9000's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
My quick thoughts about a female Bond. First my quick thoughts about a non-white dude as Bond. I've got no objections if it a Bond film taking place in our modern times. If the movie takes places in 1950s or 1960s like in the original books that's a different story. Now a female Bond. I honestly don't know how they could do it. So much of Bond's character has to do with the fact that he's a man and his relationship problems with women. Make Bond female and your forced to just make an entirely new character who just happens to share the same name. Do people go to these movies to watch a generic super spy adventure or to see a specific familiar character in super spy adventure?- 96 replies

What's the point? Will anything that happens in this movie even matter? Why wasn't this movie made before Infinity War?
