I have an account played with for about two weeks and haven't used it since. Main Reason it is all about $$$. Maybe I'll sign on again to say hi and then maybe PS3's Home will be filled with less Porn & Casino ads.

Lightsaber that are bootlegs! The Jedi Order served the Republic which became the Empire. Thus making all Lightsabers production the exclusive rights of the Empire. When a Jedi builds a lightsaber he is infringing on the Empire's rights as the patent and trademark holder.

The PlayStation 3 Thread 80GB Edition
Roy Focker replied to Gaijin's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Well I waited until there was a price break on the PS3 and some games I wanted started coming out. One of those on my want list was Dynasty Warriors Gundam. Guess which of the two I'm picking. ETA for game release is the 28th. ETA for my PS3 to arrive is the 30th. -
Did you ever think about the motives of the Rebel's greatest hero Luke Skywalker? First he can't wait to go the the academy. Talking to Obi-Wan he says, "It's not that I like the Empire! It hate it!" Funny he hates the Empire but wants to go to their public schools? Luke is on Tatoonie the Empire's influence there is very small. I bet Uncle Owen doesn't even pays taxes. I doubt the Empire even charges him any tax but they still will take Luke's appilcation. If accepted you know Luke is going to get some good scholarships and grants. Luke still hates them for that. Then there is his motives of joining the Alliance in the first place to save Leia. The sister he wants to screw. There's your hero, a incest loving bum who doesn't pay taxes.

Roy Focker replied to Mr March's topic in Movies and TV Series
Well it is possible that the other colonization fleets didn't include a Megaroad or New Macross ships. -

Well that is a little unfair. -
We were lead to believe Alderaan was innocent and that is from a liar. LEIA: No! Alderaan is peaceful. We have no weapons. When pressed she gave Dantooine as the Rebel base. A lie. Also a lie that Alderaan was peaceful with no weapons. What about that Rebel Blockcase runner. The so called consular ship? Leia representing Alderaan has a ship full of weapons and she sure look like she knows how to handle a blaster. How do you get guns and learn to shoot them on a peaceful planet with no weapons? It's impossible. She's lying and using cover of a diplomatic mission to carry out a Rebellion against the legal government. Yeah sure Alderaan was peaceful. That source is highly questionable.

The PlayStation 3 Thread 80GB Edition

I discovered a coupon for about $50 off and bought one with Target.com. In 1 to 2 weeks I'll have a PS3. Gundam Dynasty Warriors should be out next week too. -
Yes the Empire keeps their women safe at home while the Alliance allows them to get captured and become sex slaves to the Hutts. Who is looking out for the safety on your wives and daughters?
-
Yep the "good" guys approved of slavery. Poor Anakin's mother was slave and the damn Jedi didn't do a thing about it. Oh tatooine is out of their reach and controlled by the hutts. Lets not interfer. For crying out loud they knew of the conditions there but didn't do crap to stop it. The Empire would have cleaned up that dump up long ago if they weren't busy chasing the alliance.
-
Right they had a universal health care system. Think about this if the Jedi & the Republic were the good guys then how come they used the Clone Army? One day the found they had an army of clone and felt no remorse about using them and sending them to their deaths. Almost like they didn't considered them human. They sure looked human to me. R2D2 and C3PO got better treatment. Empire had no problems using Storm Troopers and Jedi/Republic had none with the Clone Troopers. There's no difference between them in this factor.

Speaking of the Jedi I think they got what they deserved. Some might say what about the younglings? Did they deserve to be killed? To me it was a mercy killing. Look at how the order operates. They seek out very young and take them away from their families before strong attachments are made. A Jedi's whole view is totally shaped by the order. They aren't allowed to marry. Deep attachments would cloud their judgements to do what is right. What is right is what ever the hell Mace Windu and Yoda says it is. Yoda is too old to relate to anybody. Is that life you want for your child? For all we know the order is a bunch of pedophiles. They pick kids when they are really young. A Jedi then selects one to be his Padawan/victim. They spend years together. Surely a bond develops between them that is stronger than mentor and student. When the Padawan gets too old their master declare them Jedi and toss them out for a younger one. 20 years after the Empire put a stop to this we have Luke Skywalker trying to bring this disturbing order back. To make it worst the entire rebel alliance is helping him! "He is too old. Yes, too old to begin the training" - Yoda. The sick bastard who tried to refuse to training Luke in the ways of the force. Too old = not Sexy. Real reason why Yoda was on dagobah? As a registered sex offender the Empire didn't allow him near other people.

Here's an idea of mine every other week or a famous feud will be selected and you vote for the side you would take. I have been thinking about Star Wars recently. If given a choice I sided with the Empire. Sure they are the bad guys but is the other choice that great? Star Wars is basically a fairy tale. The wars took place a long time ago. In the opening crawl it makes clear that the Galactic Empire is an Evil One. Didn’t the Rebels win? Isn’t it just natural for the victor’s version of the story to be passed along? If the Empire won then the Rebels would be labeled as Evil. Here is one of the evil acts of the Rebels that just makes me want to side with the Empire. The Republic/Rebel Alliance make friends are primative aliens. The Empire does not and for good reason. Take a look at some of these "friends". Ewoks. Christ sake the Ewoks are friends with Wilford Brimley. If he’s their friend than the Ewoks are or friend of mine. Gungans. The Republic’s Senate allowed them in it and with Jar Jar as their representative. Excuse me? The day Jar Jar is allowed to have a say in how my galaxy is the day I move to another one. Wookies. Common traits, prone to violence and oh yeah they wear no pants. You just know Chewbacca here is walking around with crap stuck on his fur rubbing his ass up on everything. Even worst has got to be those giant boners. Pardon me but couldn’t the wookie wear pants in the company of others? Would you rather have Storm Troopers enforcing the iron will of the Emperor over you or Chewbacca dragging his ass on your carpet?

High Definition Media & Technology Thread
Roy Focker replied to JsARCLIGHT's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Even with low low prices does the average consumer want to buy several players to watch their movie collection? I think most people would rather buy one player that plays everything. -

I went into an upscale electronic store and looked at some HDTVs in sample living rooms. Dang do I want to by a 90 inch TV set and sit infront of it all day. I just don't have several grand. Even the budget models cost too much for their size. -
He's an easy one to find. I this week I managed to find all the ones I was missing.

I prefer the Britsh Action Force origin of the Baroness. With her being from Austria. I'm sick of the Six degrees of separation that all leads to Snake Eyes. When Snake Eyes was at the ninja camp one day throwing ninja stars he killed a parrot. That dead parrot left nest with one egg in it. Ship Wreck on vacation found that nest and that's how he got polly.

The PlayStation 3 Thread 80GB Edition
Roy Focker replied to Gaijin's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Okay I'm debating about getting a PS3 I always said I'd get one under two major conditions. There are enough games out that I like (or will be soon) and if there is large price drop. The 60GB version dropped $100 and the Dynasty Warrior Gundam game is coming the end of this month. Plus more games like MG4 that catch my fancy for 2008. After my next pay check my credit card balance will be low enough to put a new PS3 on it. I can use technology but I don't read up on all the latest information of stuff I can't buy until I have the money to afford. I can buy more Macross Toys, finally pay off at least one of my student loans or buy a PS3. I got some questions about the PS3. 1. 60GB or 80GB will it really make a difference? I'm a casual gamer. I'll buy a new game made once every other month. Get heavy play out of it for a week and maybe play games again 2 hours a month on average. 2. I assume that I can play PS2 games. What about CDs and DVDs. My PS2 plays those. Can I play them on the PS3 with Blu-Ray? 3. Japanese Import games and Movies can I play them? 4. I bought my PS2 before PS had online games. I have high speed cable internet access. Can I just plug a PS3 and start playing online or do I need to get addition equipment, pay for additional service etc. 5. I still use an old school TV Set. Watched some TV on a flat screen HDTV recently. Some channels honestly looked better on a standard TV. I have no desire to invest in a brand new expensive TV. Once my current one dies out I'll invest. How good or bad of quality is the PS3 and Blu-Ray on an old square 27 inch TV?
