  1. It looks like everything I don't want from this show. Trailer is filled with rock music and action. Andor season 1 was great show but, it was slow paced with a bunch of talking. The action scenes were few and far between. When they did happen, it had meaning. The action wasn't there to just keep people from getting bored. I hope season 2 is still like season 1. Maybe the trailer is just Disney trying to make it look more action packed than it really is.
  2. Don't forget this one too. GA0581 1:12 JUNGLE HOUND GRIDIRON Mechanized Div. (Green) 4x4 Military vehicle great for G.I. Joe Classified, Monster Force custom Action Figures
  3. If anyone was unsatisfied by the ending remember this was a show about kid characters. They would have to be the ones to save the day. Because they are kids it isn't going to involve that much violence. Nor could they have Jude have a change of heart and fight his old crew with a light saber as it would have made him the more of hero than the kids.
  4. You realize this was the Star Wars show specifically aimed at kids more than any other show (excluding the Ewok TV movies). No kids in the real world would be able to save the day like that. Kid centered fiction follows a different set of rules. If this was a show featuring adults as the leads, I'd questioned everything. Since this show is for kid and about kids, I'm judging it by a different standard did they tell a good story? Was I entertained? Did I care about the characters? To that I say yes. I'd put it up there with Andor. Both are good for different reasons. I'd even say it might even be better than season 1 and 2 of The Mandalorian.
  5. Exactly. This time it is a show featuring kids aimed at kids. Only the logic of Saturday morning cartoons apply. If one of these kids get stabbed through the middle of the chest with a light saber and survives I'm not going to question it like I would in some of their other shows.
  6. Some harsh reviews I see. Latest episode was alright. Nothing spectacular but okay overall. It is still primarily the show aimed specifically at kids. Judging by that standard its not a bad show.
  7. No complaints from me. Thought the Owl was too cartoonish but then I remembered this is the kid targeted show.
  8. It gets my seal of approval. Kids go off on adventure and encounter pirates. The tone is good. Kids can act. Watching it wasn't a chore. I look forward to watching the rest.
  9. Remember what allegedly happened with Rogue One? Disney wasn't pleased with what Edward made and had Gilroy do some reshoots. In theory Rogue One had some good ideas but something was lacking if they had someone else do the reshoots. A script that sounded better on paper or whatever. A good director but the wrong director for that particular movie. I think the Acolyte suffered from the same problems. This time none of the higherups ordered any reshoots. How could they afford it with the budget they already spent making it.
  10. I don't understand why this Captain America isn't dead. His wing suit might be capable of superhero stunts but isn't physical body still that of a normal human? There's no super serum running through his veins. Those mechanical parts don't encase his entire body like Ironman.
  11. Wait this is their first wave? Characters are too obscure. Each one is potential peg warmer. You include one such figure per wave for the "collect them all" collectors. The casual collector are just going to go for the main casts.
  12. They say people really didn't like one. I thought it was alright. I think this story was a reaction to the audience who might have glorified Arthur at the end of the first movie. In the sequel he's back to being a sad pathetic clown. It is rather depressing and hopeless story.
  13. Problem with the suburbs it's an invention of our modern world. Star Wars is "the future" from a long time ago. You can have characters visiting a space station or a medieval village with a couple droids walking about and it fits in with the universe. I can think of a good reason for this choice. The target audience is the same age as the kids in the show. Easier for kids watching at home to relate to these characters if their hometown looks the same. This show is the Anti-Andor. Star Wars has always tried to be for all ages. Something you could watch with the whole family. I found that it fails at this attempt whenever they try to introduce few serious elements they also toss in a few extra silly ones. Creating a confusing tone. Andor was aimed at adults and could deal more mature themes without having to counterbalance for any kids who might be watching. Skeleton Crew might be the exact opposite.
  14. That doesn't count as an update.
  15. Agreed. I like what I'm seeing in this trailer. It very clear what type of show this is. A Spielberg-like kid fantasy. You can watch this show without complaining that kid isn't strong enough to lift a gun that size or in real life that kid die if someone stabbed them with a light saber. How could these 8-year-olds out smart a Sith lord? They can if it a show about kids saving the day. If it's part of the greater story, then you can start questioning the logic.
  16. Two more seasons? I haven't read any books about this story but it felt like they could have wrapped up the entire series with just 2 to 3 more episodes.
  17. Is that kid a Max Rebo alien? If so what is doing that a standard set of arms and legs? I thought Max Rebo just had legs and no arms or something like that.
  18. Oh no! Star Wars for babies. Jude Law is a good actor and despite this show mostly young cast it could work. Hear me out. It seems like most of these shows are written for children. When adult characters in Ahsoka and the Acolyte do something stupid it looks really bad because they're supposed to be adults. If these kid characters make stupid decisions that lead to other characters getting killed - it will now make sense because kids do stupid shit like that all the time. My concern would be if they made an extra effort to write for a younger audience. They don't need to dumb it down even more.
  19. Half the population is female. They'd be stupid not to put more women in key parts. Trying to double their audience. Too bad man children all start to cry when ever they see girls wearing pants playing with their toys.
  20. Part of me wishes they spent more time on the Wolverine montage. Turn them to normal length scenes with Dead Pool learning from each failed attempt like with Bill Murray in ground hog day.
  21. We are desperate. In the old days when a franchise was losing steam you'd put it to rest for 3 to 5 years then return with a new cast and retold the same stories in a new way. Now you force actors work until they are 90.
  22. It was okay. Hugh can do no wrong when it comes to playing this character. They hit all the emotional beats. Problems was too many 4th wall jokes and jokes in general. I would have preferred if more of the movie took place in a more realistic universe. This one had a Covid vibe of filmed on set with nobody there. Help kept all the cameos a secret, I guess. Violence was too much that it was easy to become numb to it. Same with the vulgar jokes. CGI characters all made of rubber. I'll excuse the bad CGI in this movie over other movies because this movie was a cartoon. Movie wasn't needed. If the X-Men movies ended without Logan this would have been a good swan song for the character. Dead Pool 2 also had good ending. He 4th walled himself a happy ending. This movie screamed, Oh my god. The movie industry is dying. Let's throw a bunch of money at things. The "until you're 90" joke is so true for all these actors. Most actors want two things: a chance to act and a chance to act in something with meaning. Studios aren't interested in funding things with meaning. If they want to act it will be things like this forever, forever.
