Thanks!! Those are very good at their current size/resolution. It's a misnomer that larger scans are better when it comes to simple, uncomplicated schematics.
-
Here's a perfect example of what I'm suggesting. http://www.studioscale.com/kitscans.htm As you can yes there isn't any kit abuse or disassembling of the orginal kit. Just simple photographing with a white background and a ruler at a good usable resolution. This would also benefit the situation where the people who are looking for rare kits are no longer available have the chance to build their own copy. The 3D people involved will have to realize though that theft will happen and people will not want to credit others for their work. I many ways you'll have to think of it as a studio model kitbash situation like the Falcon and the BSG(and tons of others).

How would you like Macross model kit pieces built in 3d and downloadable for free? This forum has plenty of people with digital cameras and willingness to help. It would almost help to further build the experience of the people who work in 3D and like Macross. But what are your thoughts on these? This thought was sparked by a WIP discussion from another forum. SFM

Yeah... I'm running an athlon 2800, 512mb of ram and a 5200 geforce and it's just not doing a good job. I've turned off all the animation and that helps some. I'm actually upgrading my PC because of this game. hahaha... something wrong with that, I could play Doom3 decent enough but I can't play Civ IV. 342510 I'm not really surprised since it's a stragety game that is CPU & RAM intensive. Remember what HomeWorld 'suggested'? 1 Gig of RAM. Upgrade your RAM to near a gig and get that new video card.

I request a scan of those schematics that you've got drawn!!! They'll go a LONG way for the 3d people amongst us.

It's pretty shallow and it's entertainment value is pretty limited, so I'd just delete it. Unless you find it worthy of a CD/DVD burn.

Why couldn't he tear-up an RPG board game for a-change? Warhammer is virtually Anderson-proof..... .... Want a minute! He might cast Stylone as the Emporer, the Rock as a Tau Fire Warrior, and 'Neggar an Ork/Space Marine!

And that much more tragic. Feels so tragic. Sigh! 341770 Unless they TOTALLY, from the ground up, revamped the story for anime purposes the manga's story was abject crap without any redeeming value. You know it's garbage when the author spends close to 100 chapters trying to humanize, and make the reader sympathize with the character, a girl who is nothing more then a mass murder(2nd & 3rd persona's) and has been for years without remorse. But then again I've NEVER thought that having a split personality as an excuse for doing such things.

Yeah back then that was a "HUH! WHAT! It's a spaceship! It's not supposed to 'punch' anything!" moment. Nows it's more of a "OMG I can't believe they said that-ROFL" moment. Even since I watched RT with my dad, he enjoyed the series and wanted to watch the entire intial disc in one sitting, he complains that I don't have any funny cartoons.

Oh yeah I remember this show pretty fondly. The first season was great, mainly because of the dark shows and that it was a welcome change from Trek 'PC' world. But I agree the 2nd season stunk so bad, yet their pulling off the same garbage shows now and they are getting a good following. I'm sooooo gonna add this to my shows libary!
-
Yeah I agree. At first I thought "UGH! It's a MARVEL CRAP-TAULAR project." Now with some art reasurance, I don't feel nearly as hesitant. Though I seriously hope that the quality doesn't nosedive like the new Ghost Rider did several pages before the first books end. Disagree that it would make a good anime. The story calls for older animation methods to keep it dark not the current bland colors and lack of texture(film grain and imprefect frame alignment went along way didn't it) that CG gives. The first 4 were indeed freaking Awsome. Shame it, the series, took a poo at the end.

LOL! That Battroid close-up reminds me of a newer version of Toy Story! Looks good though!!

Agreed! But I like I thought it was more Kairider(spl) with that damned scraf and the whole tranformation scene was totally Magical Girl! That's not counting the times she's dressed like Naru(from LH) or looked like Kurumi(from SAK). But was it me or during the second swimming scene didn't 'Oneesama' look totally sexy! OH and didn't that whole space walk on the moon just reek of 2001! -

Finally finished downloading and ..... w0w! I didn't think that they'd be able to 'top' the last episode for action, but damn they did it before 20 minutes in!!! And the deaths were great as well. Totally loved the various homage that they paided to the various genres. -
OMFG! With that hairdo she reminds me of CoTS's Lafiels mother!!!

It's the lack of shoulders and arms that is throwing you off. 337636 no. that's not it. but thanks for the trying. her torso is too long. from the bottom of her crotch to her waist doesn't match up with her waist to her neck. 338028 Actually I'm not. Without the shoulders in place your eyes focus on the visible back which is quite abit smaller then the shoulders width. And the bottom of the crotch to the waist never matchs up. But this is silly because anime/manga heads are pretty large anyways.....

Yep #4 raw is out! I was also trolling, errr, browsing another board (http://forums.animesuki.com/showthread.php?t=20132&page=6) and found that it's the same universe with very little doubt left! YEA! -
Your having problems with the MegaRoad's scale?!? Try overlaying captures from Flash Back 2012 with the tranformed SDF-1 in Perfect Memory page 140. Specifically the bridges, which are the same style and size. The Mega is roughly 4-5 times as wide as the transformed SDF(don't know the version. Getting a length figure is somewhat more vague. I'd say by comparasion the length is over 2.5-3.25 times the SDF. So it's somewhere in the range of 1000-1500 meters wide and somewhere in the 3500-5000 meter length range. But I'd say that getting the proporations right is of a larger concern.

Indeed, I was like, are you sure that's 1/72? I wonder if UN Spacy would have made the VF-1S bigger when they finally encountered the Zentradi forces. A VF-O would be about 1 1/2 times taller than a Zen-trooper, so I'd take it. Also, I'm taking it that an F-14 is longer in length than your VF-1A? But then again I doubt that Earth was expecting these visitors. 337052 Since the VF-0 series was a proof-of-concept series, refinement would naturely mean removal of excessive materials and technology's. They were still adapting the A.S.S. technology and adapting to it. It's like comparing VHS to DVD.

I get the exact same feeling when I look at ANY highly rounded-off car. The PT Cruiser, the Prowler, the Viper, the 300 M, the Magnum..... looks like a trend for one company, but GM & Ford have done the same thing just to a different degree(the Impala & the Taurus). It's pretty much only a cycle hard edged, smooth, round, and back again. The Mustang and the Corvette do it like every other car. Keeps them 'fresh' looking.
-
Aww dude tell that's not the MegaRoad!!! I actually had the insane thought of attempting a Hi-poly version, once.
-
Totally glad that you enjoyed it. I always felt that the RT version was more or less directionless after the Macross Saga. Mint was the most annoying character.

Did you graduate middle school? Or did you repeatingly skip your english class to smoke? That Gamespot article is actually pretty damned balanced and fair. Pointing alot of pros and cons about how MS maybe totally miss-stepped, but also points out that the PS3 isn't and won't be except either.
