I've felt that both movies are subpar through all of the current hype. Hell the first Xmen movie was pushing lameness to begin with and X2 sealed it's fate. Supes suit has always been an issue and so have the main leading actors. I once showed a picture of the new superman to a fellow female worker and her instantly pointed out "He's fat!".

God they are just tooo many! LOL! But of the top of my head many of the Sekai Star Forces designs. The super Carrier from RahXephon. Several of designs from Orgun. Those sweet SEED ships from Trigun. The main spaceship from StarOcean2. But overall I'd have to say tradition style Torchships get me going!!

I think that was just the manga side. Which I'm still pissed about because of the stopped publication of titles and them holding the damned things! Same thing with those idiots at DHC! But then again ADV didn't get a couple of series that they needed to get (Eureka 7, Tenjho Tenge, AMG, the My Hime(& Mai Otome) series). And have ended up getting dud titles like Yumeria & Godannar!! And releasing the ancient looking Macross(a niche market anime).

I'm looking at the characters right now, btw the site is all CGI and it loads slower then a monkey typing a Star Wars Script, and they are definately cgi. Also I know of no modern animation that is not cgi. I think that you meant 3D and not Computer Generated Images. Anyways it looks like it's gonna be a simple repeat of FSS's style, meh & fairly ugly. And it WILL BE CG because I doubt that he'll foot the extra 10-20 million that it would require otherwise. But let's see where the mecha are.

If you would've looked, yes. The first ship I saw had MATRIX written all over it, though later on it starts to look like a Viking styled ship. The second one was clearly a semi-ripoff of Yukito Kishiro's "Jupiter Fleet" designs. While the thrid looks like it's take from the game FreeSpace. The term 'lackluster' seems to be fitting. Have you triangulated them before export? I've found that tends to stop some convertion weirdness that crops up from time to time.

I'm totally with you on that! It's just for me they aren't selling the characters very well. Neither in capturing the character or it's personality. Eureka's voice should've been more flat(somewhat like Rei's from NGE), so the change later in the series would've been more viberant. Maybe they plan to do that but they'll have to change the voice seriously for it to work. And please tell me that the way they are pronoucing her name is wrong! EL-reka???? Renton's VA just doesn't work. The VA just isn't selling the character, nor is he following the character on the screen very well. The character comes off lifeless like a secondary character from The Slayers. It's just I expected a far better showing for one of the last few longer shows, Bleach is next but after that....., that is coming over. I'll leave it at that.

That's a great example! But unlike & like Millia she had female friends(especially Kanako) that were pushing her to become more of a women then a sword welding barbarian that she shows earlier. Also unlike Millia we see what a more matured Motoko would look like in her sister, Tsuruko.

eugimon, I see your point and the point that most 'purists' bring up when they berate dubs. But I disagree with the point of making the show thier 'own' voice wise. It's like rewriting something when it's unnessasary. Unfortuantely the Renton VA sucks, he was a total mis-cast for the part as was Eureka. When the character is clearly emotional on screen the voice is flat out bland is a obvious indictation that the VA is not right for the role or the VA director doesn't know what he's doing. Alot of the other VA's are the same way, flat. It's like watching that one part in Martix's 3 when Neo talks to the Architect. Droning. Like I said early only the decent VA is the Holland one, as it seems that he's trying to 'be' Holland.

Yeah I hear ya there! I'd 'play', but that's about it. For me not 'seeing' Claudia as dating material was more of a ...... cultural preference(to be PC about it). If anything it's like the title says 'Ideal'(aka dream girl) not 'Within Reach'. lol Thank god that there wasn't a Moe version of this thread!

You know I'd have NEVER EVER given Claudia a thought, but your very right her personality is exetremely attractive. But then again I'm attracted to confident women who know what inner strength is and how not to be male when showing it. I'd have to say that my ideal anime female would be a long haired version of Haruka from RahXephon. But it's hard not to say the younger version of Motoko from Love Hina(manga version) and Aoi from Ai Yori Aoshi. But then again I'm something of a sucker for the whole Yamoto Nadesko(spl) thing.
